Another Day
In the morning when I wake,
I am thankful I can see.
I am grateful.
I take a survey and find,
that I hurt in many places,
some way more than others.
Age... is a hard thing to understand.
There are too many issues,
to convey and no time left to do so.
Yeah, there may be a year...
or two or ten.
But getting older has been,
an experience.
Sometimes you have to do a thing,
to truly know how it feelzzzzz...
I sit up slowly not fast,
as I get dizzy.
Not from the normal flow of blood,
but the medications that I take.
It is just part of "getting older"...
But, I don't want to believe,
that part to be...
true.
"I remember when's" come up all the time.
"I wish that the I had's", were less often.
That would always be a good thing.
If I were to tell any young person today,
about tomorrow or even yesterday,
I would tell them loudly,
strongly and with all that I had to offer,
live and never stop living.
Regret is an evil sister,
you never want to live in the house
you will always intend to call home.
Do not be a toad.
Laugh.
