Best Longingly Poems

Premium Member Last Letter

Oh my dearest love, how longingly I recall
Amorous wink of joy, teasing zealous eyes
When you held my hand on journey of life
And never let go despite the arduous climb.

Happily you greeted what justly we toiled for,
In view of gratitude plentiful it always was.
Staying true to hallmark of your own resolve
You didn't falter when fate made bad calls.

Exuberantly you reveled in garden of roses
In purple orchids and fragrance of Jasmine
Beneath cosmic infinity wooing your fantasy,
As resolutely you held on to truth of reality.

We traveled far eying cultural renaissance
In Sistine Chapel and the Statue of David
As museums found you mesmerized by art
And paintings in Uffizi held you spellbound.

In your honor, I'll memorialize solemn oath
Lovingly etched in the temple of our hearts
Saying in your voice, there are no goodbyes
When love shall endure till the end of time.

Premium Member Shades of My Gloom

In vertigo of night, in their riddled trance
Boldness of petals melt on washed-out shades,
As faces etch a quiet gloom in varied hues
Capturing splashed oil, neutral and bright
While I gaze longingly at a portrait…
Man and wife , as if holding a child almost
Unseen …hidden through a float of blue-white.

Through dimming pain, a view lights up for a time
Where orange of moonlight quietly slips
Amid this rosette outburst and aching gray,
With blossoms strewn along pale candlelight…
How languid colors begin to mold my thoughts
Drowning in a pang of loneliness… I ask
In silence..are the couple ,the babe dying?...dead?
And the fusion of tender, lonely motif allows me
To weep inside, captive in a gasping moan... the kind
Which shapes a tone between life and elegy.

Premium Member Touched By Your Flame

I watched them gather round
The warmth of your flame
Like campers at campfire time
Huddling close to you
Pushing and jostling
For the best place
I saw your warmth
Dancing off their faces
Small cinders escaping into the night
I followed the sparks drifting up
On the chilly breeze
Riding high…disappearing into the stars

I was cold
I was alone
On the edge
And yet…I dared not go near you
Though your light invited me
And I wanted so much to be warmed
By you
Yet….how could I find a place
By those encircling you
Watching the mesmerizing display
Of your orange and yellow flames
There was no place
Among the gathering of....
The strong, the beautiful, the insistent
So, on the outskirts I stayed
Tears trickling down my cheeks
Cold
Alone…

I waited…I held back
Until they all left
One by one
Some bumping into me
Not even aware that I was alive
I waited until you had almost died out
No longer on display
But a warm glow of embers
Still orange and glowing with desire
And I approached
Shyly…
Longingly…
Needing to see you dance
For me….only for me
And I coaxed you
In my clumsy way
My fingers cold
My heart ablaze

Suddenly....you burst into flame
A pillar of fire
Miracle of love
For I had not added any kindling
But my little heart
And yet it seems you had waited
Knowing I would come
And my slightest touch
Made the flames spring to life
Voracious flames
Flames reaching the high heavens
Your heat overpowering
Consuming
I almost threw myself into you
Wanting to reach the center
Of the heat and warmth
Of your beauty…

I spent the night
Out under the stars
Lying naked
Yet not cold
Naked
Yet not ashamed
Naked
Yet not shy
For your glow was my covering

I let myself be touched
Time and again
By licking fingers of fire
By the burning flames of your desire
For….ME!

Premium Member Essence of Love Collaboration With Vijay Pandit

What is a man without the woman he loves,
searching for his lady like lonesome doves.
As his heart connects with the one he adores,
his soul will yearn to meet upon any shores.

When he comforts her mind with a loving grace
and the love of his life begins to reign his space,
nothing is ever the same, for she sets him aflame.
As the rhythm of her heart resonates his name.

He will whisper romantic musings - so sweet,
as her elegance makes his heart skip a beat.
He'll soothe her pain with his gentleman like charm.
Shelter her in his arms from those that cause harm.

He hears the sound of every breath she takes,
greeting with a pleasant smile as she awakes.
Promising a day filled with heavenly dreams,
embracing longingly as her happiness gleams.

Promising to deliver, receiving messages she sent,
he'll bring her the moon if that's what she meant.
Sacrificing his life, gallantly to conquer every climb,
searching for what she wants till the end of time.

Through the window of her soul he explores deep,
banishing all demons that cause her to weep.
Polishes her heart to prevent it from rust,
making sure his diamond does not collect dust.

A real man loves with his soul, not eyes of lust.
Shows her loyalty and builds a loving trust.
He can see their unborn children in her eyes,
as they embrace he knows where their future lies.

Premium Member Let Passions Waltz

When twilight sighs blushing cobalt skies
And evening dons purple on sienna brown
As rainbow colors sprout blazing horizon
And scarlet winds echo intimate bird-songs
Beckoning sensuality of two loving hearts;
Meet me my love, doting illuminant stars--
Let passions waltz in music of romance.

When night adorns constellations above
And moonlit desires glisten your aura
Arousing titillation of your sensuous eyes
Hold me in bliss of your hypnotic trance
As you come closer invoking Shangri-la;
Greet me my love, seducing my response--
Let passions waltz in music of romance.

As fantasies blossom in odyssey of dreams
Seeking sanctuary in paradise of ecstasy,
Courting our story in flirtatious melodies
When you strum beats of fervid symphony
Enunciating words to lyrics of our revelry;
Kiss me my love, crooning tunes of its ballad--
Let passions waltz in music of romance.

Satiated now, snuggling bosom of dawn
Gladly we rejoice its affectionate applause
Pleading longingly for these feelings to last
Igniting their flame for one more glance
As we woo fervor of enchanting euphoria;
Cuddle with me my love, answering its call--
Let passions waltz in music of romance.

Premium Member Love Endearing

Love is an impulse fueled by the heart,
A stimulating prompt eliciting response
Invoking affinity from halo of its soul~
Sense it, feel it, touching depth of core;
Harmonious, melodious, even in prose
Longingly love unfolds albums of yore
Etching memoirs today and tomorrow.

Love is the glimmer on giggles of child
Love is, beak to beak, feeding a newborn,
Love is a deer ambling with her fawn,
A blush of kiss love is on moonlit night,
Listen closely and you’ll hear its sound~
Sound of benevolence love expounds
Giving, receiving, never having to ask.

Love is a ballad in passions of romance
Blossoming reveries in bosoms of dawn,
Love is the chorus of nightingale’s song
Strumming its euphonic tunes of music
Enamored it comes in genuine feelings,
Vibrant and tender as flowers of spring,
Fragile and colorful as autumnal revelry.

Premium Member My Eternal Ocean

My sails are trimmed, prepared for our adventure,
I have gazed longingly at the surface of you
Beautiful beyond my comprehension
Your rhythmic calmness relaxes me
I am hypnotized by your serenity
My desire is to discover the depths of you

My bow stretches to your horizon
Still I cannot experience all of you
I float innocently upon your waves
Refreshed by your cool waters
In an instant you change
Encompassing me, crashing against me
Yet I do not wish to escape

My ocean, I trust you with my very soul
As I sink beneath your surface
I am wrapped in your eternal embrace
Colour surrounds me, my being is infused with your joy
The feeling of weightlessness, as we are joined
You are the beginning and completion of me
I was not formed to merely float along your shores.

Premium Member Quaint Cottage

Beholding aspirations of the marigold sky I sailed
As hushed purple dawn was rising above the bay
Glinting platinum hued tides bouncing off the quay
While the boat turned, in quandary of the unknown,
Cognizant that discarded memories had returned
To quiver bruised emotions on gold dusted ripples.

Was that you, my dear, longingly saying hello
From our quaint cottage on glazed verdant shore
Crooning praises of your glittering rose bouquet
Where gilded rays refracted, sparkling magenta vase
Sitting atop embroidered tablecloth you made,
Graciously standing there in welcoming poise
Happy that you rearranged life, just as it once was,
Having removed all clues of our interrupted past
When penance of remorse sought brand new start.

I recognized ruby vows you sprinkled on daybreak
Bashful, as twinkles of smile glistened your face,
Seductive in whiff of perfume blazing memory lane~
Indeed it was you pledging promise of a new day!

Silver Threaded Divertimento

Watching a sway of a Chinese lantern
in colors the shade of your smile,
paper laced dreams in curvature shapes
suspended by silver threads

Ripples of koi pond whispers
slowly beckon in moonlit gestures,
as we sit counting fireflies,
hypnotized by our beating hearts

Cascading serenade,
enchanting the evening divertimento
Lotus blossom fingertips softly
caress parted lips…smooth

As I drink in your fragrance,
tasting the flavors, your moistened lips
simmering upon each breath…
warm, offering a honeyed embrace

Gazing longingly upon porcelain skin,
a tempting star shine glow…
we melt as one, mouths entwined
drenched in serenity

while deep within our silence we speak,
not of voice…but of love

Premium Member Farewell To Summer

Fabulous is summer’s zeal, rustling its vibrant appeal
Allured by song of robins, warbling from willow trees
Rhapsodic in revelry of frolicking shamrock prairies
Enticing lovers’ exuberance waltzing on ocean breeze
Where sandy footprints amble, exuding playful hints
Eagerly invoking love through kindled vibes of fantasies
Luxuriating on beaches, reminiscing sensual musings
Longingly indulging in smitten hearts’ fervent dreams

Tantalized by multicolored choreography of monarchs
Orbiting scented blossoms, articulating random dance

Seduced by fiery vistas invoking passions of romance
Ubiquitous in changing colors beckoning advent of fall
Meticulously browning fields where cattle lazily graze
Mesmerized in twilight blaze, scintillating orange-red
Ebulliently painting horizon in decaying crimson glaze
Ruminating autumn’s brilliance in summer’s farewell

Premium Member The Dream and the Song Live On and On

When I’m in glee of your alluring smile
As you gaze merrily ebullience of dawn
Caressing blush of emerging sunrise
Scintillating fervor upon magenta arc
Whispering gingerly to budding revelry
Strolling in morning’s flowery breeze
Creating your own moments of intimacy
Ignoring plea of my romantic appeal,
If only I could be that spectacular sun
Whose arrival you await so longingly;
May be, I too, can live in your dream.

When somber moods reign the night
And darkened clouds shroud horizon
I hear the clamor of dissonant vibes
Speaking boldly, yet saying nothing
Awaiting silently for glimmer of light
Exuberating luminance of galactic arena
Where, in its adoration you feel lost,
If only I could be that brightest of stars
Twinkling for you from heavens above
And touch like it does your fervid aura;
May be, I too, can conquer your heart.

When face of your winter turns harsh
Thrashing snowfall in freezing storms
You seek relief from autumn’s reveries
Reminiscing in zeal of crimson prairies
Nostalgic in colors of passionate alacrity
Rejecting emptiness of frozen vagaries
Eyeing instead for enchanting greenery,
If only I could be your spring’s ballad
In lyrics that arouse pulses of desires
Elevating harmony in rhythms of harp;
May be, I too, can seduce your song.

Sometimes you tell me, I’m your dream
Sometimes you say, you own my heart
Sometimes you vow, you are my song--
As the dream and the song live on and on…

Premium Member Not Missing Loves Beat

Not Missing Love’s Beat

Not missing love’s beat . . . .
Sails to you this golden bright morning rising so high
Sails waving with light, joy, and such promise and hope
One smile gasping breathless always for you my love

As you walk with me deeply into Eden’s very paradise
Dancing my heart love on that yellow brick road of dreams
Dying to be with you my love forever and ever and ever
Dreams inside of eternal youth with my heart pounding so

Awaiting the very day to come when I stand before you
Down on bended knee holding your hands warmly smiling
Kissing each and every single fingertip so exquisitely
I shall ask you to be forever and always with me my love

You will be my Queen with dazzling jewels of an ocean wide
The other heartbeat echoing as two becomes one complete
Our thirst for love and passion is almost unquenchable
And my very psyche is afire with excitement when we caress

Sleeping at night my love brings me into your dream world
Where it’s me and you and you and me together floating
Through the very ether of time breathing rarefied air so
Deliciously as we’re hopelessly mesmerized in true love

When I awaken from our nocturnal dream trance so joyously
We hold one another so lovingly and caress so warmly at once
We kiss passionately and longingly in a most sublime spirit while
Not missing love’s beat . . . .

Compass of Our Destiny

On the road to your gypsy soul

in the vastness of my world

chasing heartbeats and fireflies

  across wooden covered bridges

navigating deep and arid canyons

 beneath a sweltering summer sun.

I'll trace the compass of our destiny

leading me to a foreign land

I'll find you roaming in flowering fields of daisies

where I will finally take your hand

I'll be in awe of your effervescent half-moon

glowing brightly in the night

I'll gaze longingly at your thousand stars

shining downward ever bright

I'll feel the breeze that you feel

blowing softly over the cobalt sea

together we'll be one with nature

setting all our spirits free

Not surrendering to temptation

because you are everything I need

I'll listen to your heart beat

for on your love I soon will feed

Premium Member My Dream Date

When missives of love amber winds reveal
Strumming ardent music of romantic themes
As bashful moon delights blushing eventide,
And doting hearts aspire to call of desires;
Meet me then, darling, as memories revive
Sparkling sweet smile of twinkle in your eyes.

By the river’s edge, where passions spree,
Hand in hand we stroll in fervor of ecstasy
Beneath glimmers scintillating stellar glee
As we amble in reveries for miles and miles
Where, pulses passionate, longingly chime
Of two souls in embrace, content in paradise.

Sitting on shores, adulating river burbling,
Listening to love crooning innermost feelings,
We wish this moment will hum till eternity,
Lost in night’s glory as it cedes to dawning
When golden beams glisten mauve breeze
Inscribing on horizon our periwinkle dream.

Premium Member Sing Me That Song

Sing me that song of compelling phrase,
Make me long to dance to your croon
With halting rhythms of a distant place.

I shall look longingly into your face,
Lost in the music, we shall commune
Sing me that song of compelling phrase.

I miss the warmth of your embrace,
Your body swaying ‘neath the moon
With halting rhythms of a distant place.

Those special times I’ll remember always
Though, it seems, you left me too soon,
Sing me that song of compelling phrase.

Love like ours filled with sensual grace
Has kept me anticipating your swoon,
With halting rhythms of a distant place.

I know it is not merely a passing craze
A dreamlike fantasy or a foolish tune,
Sing me that song of compelling phrase
With halting rhythms of a distant place.
