My Eternal Ocean

My sails are trimmed, prepared for our adventure,
I have gazed longingly at the surface of you
Beautiful beyond my comprehension
Your rhythmic calmness relaxes me
I am hypnotized by your serenity
My desire is to discover the depths of you

My bow stretches to your horizon
Still I cannot experience all of you
I float innocently upon your waves
Refreshed by your cool waters
In an instant you change
Encompassing me, crashing against me
Yet I do not wish to escape

My ocean, I trust you with my very soul
As I sink beneath your surface
I am wrapped in your eternal embrace
Colour surrounds me, my being is infused with your joy
The feeling of weightlessness, as we are joined
You are the beginning and completion of me
I was not formed to merely float along your shores.

Your extended metaphor thrills me from head to toe! Has this received POTW or POTM yet?! It should, in my opinion. I'll call the algorithm for you and put in a good word, if you like... lol. FAVE for me, big-time. Thanks, Gershon

A wonderful powerful poem of a journey made but with spiritual consequences which you welcome and know you were finally part of - a weightless encompassing experience within the wide deep blue oceans. Such an epic write Richard, Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

Dear Richard, every since we swam in the amniotic fluid of our mother's womb, we grew to love the waters of life, the ocean is just a reminder. It contains a healing essence that brings us back to our wholesome self, each time we visit it. Thank you for this delightful poem Richard, keep well, I have sent you a message on your face book , :)
