Learn from the eagle how to soar with winds
Spanning your wings to conquer tall peaks
Float hopes high reaching sapphire blue skies
Triumph with your smile as the world goes by
When beset in clutches of troublesome plight
Know that a new dawn always follows night
My child, when it’s your turn, do what’s right
Even a bright sunny day must cede to twilight
If you want things easy, they won't be worth it
Learn to swing ably if you wish to score a hit
When the climb gets hard you must never quit
Things that you regret, you may never repeat
Glint someone’s clouds, be the rainbow on arc
Be the emissary of light for the adrift in dark
Edify your doldrums, be always on your mark
Lift somebody’s dawn, be the sweet song of lark
Walk along humility when tempted by pride
Learn from those saintly, living lives dignified
Hold your balance or you’ll tumble and fall
Let the mountains teach you how to stand tall
When something goes wrong, do not justify
What’s spurious and superficial, do not glorify
How well you do, rests on how hard you try
When you hear the call of duty, never ask why
Let happy thoughts reign your state of mind
When emotions overwhelm, always choose kind
Spread the wealth of love to help mankind
Be the precious gemstone that is hard to find
Glint someone’s clouds, be the rainbow on arc
Be the emissary of light for the adrift in dark
Edify your doldrums, be always on your mark
Lift somebody’s dawn, be the sweet song of lark

See the darkness that surrounds us
You are safe from all your crimes
Lift your knife
Oh and take your sweet little time my sweet
Stab me, stab me, blood flows, are we free?
Stab me, stab me, love glows, are we free?
Dance around my dead ghosted white body
Life was no better to me you see
See the knife, as I look into your eyes
All I see is dead dead skies
I try to speak of broken promises
You slit my throat, for once you tried
Stab me, stab me, blood flows, are we free?
Stab me, stab me, love glows, are we free?
Dance around my dead ghosted white body
Life was no better to me you see
Raindrops of death pour over me
Your blank stare, my blanket of eternity
My blood flows into your hate
I now am bloodless; we are of but one single fate
Stab me, stab me, blood flows, are we free?
Stab me, stab me, love glows, are we free?
Dance around my dead ghosted white body
Life was no better to me you see
See the happiness you never found?
You lost it like the my blood lost in the killing grounds
You thought you could slay my lovesick heart
I laughed and laughed as you lifted the knife so sharp
Stab me, stab me, blood flows, are we free?
Stab me, stab me, love glows, are we free?
Dance around my dead ghosted white body
Life was no better to me you see
My heart was lost long ago
When you stopping loving and bringing the rose
From then on my heart you see was froze
Exiled to your bondage, I stared at the knife
And accepted my fate
His sun falls across my bare shoulders
Seeking a tender thought
Breathing light along the hopes
That gentle my mind and my heart
His moon pours a wispy affection
Across the music of my soul
Coloring me in hues of acceptance
Simple joy to my sight
His stars reflect all the shimmer
Beyond the seas and waves
Where azure laughter sinks deeper
Than the silence that fascinates
His voice caresses my spirit
With faith flowing in my veins
Creating crimson whispers
Bright as the fire’s flames
His vision keeps me focused
On kindness that soothes and sustains
Capturing the dreams of forever
Inside the blazing firefly dance
His grace cascades like a waterfall
Gushing with gladness and peace
Arousing soft feelings of pleasure
Grown famous by the unending mercy
His inspiration nourishes my soul
In angel’s hymns that raise my thoughts
Of joy, peace and sacred prayers
Sweet sighs of faith painting warm praises
His light guides me through the storms
Lifting the shadows that might harm
Giving my mind a chance to grow strong
With the rays of love falling from His spirit
His is a love that knows no bounds
He sends it down from the highest heavens
Illuminating and reflecting all the joy
Caught up in the soul who knows His worth
His is a grace that appeals to the senses
Guides hearts from the worst
And reveals the truth about giving unconditionally
From a heart who knows that love is the greatest gift
Lift your eyes to the highest stars
See the moon, the glow of heaven’s hope
Whispering insight through your thoughts
And know that love is alive on the inside
I WILL LIFT UP MY EYES
I will lift up my eyes unto the hills
To the God of Heaven and seek His will
The Lord, the maker of heaven and earth
Has been my help before my birth
He never slumbers, nor does He sleep
I forever will be in His watchful keep
He is the shade on my right hand
Under His protection, I'll forever stand
I'm preserved from evil, He preserves my soul
I'll trust Him until His face I behold
My going out, and my coming in
Are preserved forever only by Him
One day I'll stand on Heaven's shore
To reign with Him forevermore

For contest: Faith vs Poetry
Based on Psalm 121:1-8
I slide in the chair as it begins to rise.
Legs hanging with heavy feet,
Bang them together, watch falling snow.
Brisk wind hits my face turning red.
The metal cold and wood wet,
Holding my poles dangling skis,
Nose gets numb during the ascent.
The view surreal I feel so blessed,
See them push off at the top.
Just in time I jump off
Then glide through dusty snow.

If I could lift you up, my friend,
I’d lift you to the stars.
And send you sailing ‘round the skies
Like a comet, fast and far.
As you lead the way through night and day
In pursuit of higher calls;
If I could lift you up, my friend,
I’d lift you over walls.
Of concrete, steel and those who deal
In discontented realms;
If I could, I surely would
Put you behind the helm.
To steer the path that nature hath
Placed within your power;
If I could lift you up, my friend,
You’d stand above tall towers.
Looking down and all around
Like Aphrodite in the air,
In the days of yore long back before
You knew somebody cared.
From out in the wings where angels sing
Guiding you then and now;
If I could lift you up, my friend,
I’d never let you
down.
Lift me
When light has fled
And dark consumes my head
When colors lie in fractured rays
My vision diminished to splintered grays
Leaving me blind to blue and red
When I'm collapsed beneath
The weight of grief
Lift me

Drop the ocean, lift the sky,
Today seems like a goodbye,
Memories of your voice forever linger.
Drink the potion, get me high,
Tears start to multiply,
You wouldn't even try to lift a finger.
Cast the demons out of here,
Lift me up, I have no fear,
Show you what it means to say I love you.
Wake me up, grab a beer,
Fill my cup, and shed a tear,
My love for you has always been this true.
Drain the ocean, engulf the land,
Time to focus, begin again,
Learn to live without you by my side.
Convey the notions, my own brand,
Revolve my life, and take a stand,
Without you, I know, I will be alright.
Ring the bell, sound the horn,
Today I have been reborn,
I can do this all on my own.
Rise the fell, mend the torn,
Persevere through all the scorn,
My, look at how much you have grown.
Drop the ocean, lift the sky,
Today seems like a goodbye,
Memories of your voice forever linger.
It is that of a persons heart to which we live
The pain and suffering but at the same time the happiness
that exist in the world. It is only human that we feel what we feel and act the way we do at times. But it is the most inner soul's being we strive to be who we really are. We all want the right person in life, the finer things we struggle, for dreams we find crush everyday as we fight just to merely exist and get by in life. But the love we have in ourselves is remarkable and untouched as we are what God wants us to be. No one said life be easy and he sure didn't make us sin free due to eve and the poison she bring upon this earth. But man is man as we face our weaknesses everyday as most strive to be better in some way and others just turning pure devil est ways. Its there we share the same dreams really you and me. You see,I am no different for if you cut; we all bleed the same color of red through our vain. But always stand tall and strong in your beliefs and doings in life, just as long as you know your right. But be not afraid to face the truth and consequence of our actions. Its only God you have to answer to and no one else in life control the path you walk but that of a higher power. Sometimes, just be a friend of encouragement to one another and don't try preaching all time cause you saving no one. You just beating the bush with words that are loud but hearts that are hard. But be a friend cause that's one thing none us truly really have. Cause think about it, even they stab you in the back. But lift up a spirit even with a smile cause there be the true happiness and God's way of showing he care when he gave you love.

I lift my hands to
give you glory
No one deserves
this honor
It was Christ who
rewrote my story
He took my shame
and he gave me
a new name
On the cross he took
the penalty for sin he
did not owe
He endured the
shame
With no regrets
as he hung on the
cross taking his
last breath
but that not the
end of the story
Christ arose again
With honor and
glory to give us the
perfect ending to
Our everlasting story
Today, I awake to see the sun
Not the case...for everyone
Grateful I am, to turn another page
To live another day...to age
Aches and pains grow more severe
Each day, each week...every year
My hair, turn gray...little there be
The strongest lens...I need to see
My ears are quiet, need hearing aide
Growing old, ya know...senses fade
Wrinkled hands, shriveled skin
Broken heart...deep within
'Cause I've grown old, a long lived life
Had some kids...had a wife
Watched my children grow each day
Until they wed, and gone their way
Many friends have met their fate
Why am I, to go...so late
I've done some good, I've done some wrong
I'll do some more...ere, I say...so long
To all my friends, I love you...much
I felt your love, I felt your touch
Thank you, friends...your precious gift
Your love you've given, my soul...a lift

you lift me up when I am down
change my world in every way
hold my hand and touch my face
give me hope on this beautiful day
you give me strength to carry on
showing your love to me alone
you are the truth, you are the voice
you make me feel that I'm the one
I close my eyes and see your love
know how you look and what you say
I touch your lips and kiss your face
how do you make me feel this way
Chorus
love me while the sun shines high
or maybe beneath the moon
love me while you hold me tight
make love on a warm afternoon
you take me high to a better place
and let me believe it will be okay
you open me up to love once more
dreams come true for me this day

In her skin-tight space suit .
A definite no-no , was farting .

When I let one loose in the elevator
alas I’m locked in with mater and pater
I wish I could drop right through the floor
because Pa can’t prise open the lift door
My parents both pass out with the smell
and so I hammer on the emergency bell
When the firemen release us from the lift
I leave a silent but deadly foul ‘farting gift’
