Navigating vast oceans of life, negotiating its lows and highs,
Some blissful of pure joy, some burdened in griefs and sighs,
Riding aspirations eternal, rowing vigor of happiness I ride,
Undulating on tides of love, with your smile gracing my side.
On the crest of a wave, surging with gale, O, fondly we sail,
Reveling life’s sweetest moments, dreams amorous unveil,
Sketching themes periwinkle, tinting blush of rosy twilight,
Whispering secrets passionate, pleading to romantic night.
As stars above twinkle, in harmony with melodies of skies,
Hearts sensuous bloom desires, inflaming enamored eyes,
Spurring moods of romance, Venus and the Moon revive,
Flirting with colorful nebulae, where passions stellar thrive.
Anticipation builds, propelling us with exuberance of seas,
As lands in yonder delight, where zephyrs of hope breeze,
Foretelling of an ebullient morning, inscribing motifs of glee,
Glistening skyline golden, where promises auspicious spree.
Approaching our destination, we foresee realms of morrow,
Devoid of hurricanes of yore, devoid of miseries of sorrow,
Having parted stormy coastline battered in travails of throes,
Exiting cheerless shadows, vying winsome, sunlit meadows.
In emerald dreams of a romantic isle
Beholden to your signature smile
Kiss me tender in secrets of runes
Cuddled in arms of a sensuous moon
Attach a note to verses of love
Tell me once more--the song's forever
Align yourself in visions lavender
Surfing the winds on butterfly wings
Chasing blossoms of lilac flowers
Hugging the banks of a giggling river
Reject the confused subconscious vibes
That contort the truth dwelling in lies
Yearning to win your seal of acceptance
And, oh my dear, be forewarned
Of glittering metals--prone to corrosion
Imitating designs of genuine jewels
Befriended by unscrupulous people
Is it any surprise that the golden sun
Rises for you on the tangerine arc
And paints your hues in purple splendor
Inscribing there in colors of spectrum:
My love for you shall remain eternal

I dreamt a dream that renewed kindred memories
Rekindling past passions of moonlit love-themes,
Enamoring love-embers blooming heartfelt longings,
Crooning hints-romantic~ life’s a beauteous dream;
When merrily you enthralled me in springs of yore
Fetching yesteryears’ treasured keepsakes to fore
Lauding pages of albums seasons bygone adored
Reviving ardent allure, questing for love evermore.
I recognized fervid smiles of twinkles in your eyes
Tethered bashfully to arc of love on fulgent skies,
As together we watched winsome emotions climb
Inscribing on celestial canvas, halo of love sublime;
Just as Venus smiled and Moon winked impishly
When brilliant stars avowed~ forever we shall be,
And song of lark strummed of a mirthful morning,
Rising in paradise you envisioned for you and me.
Embraced in delight through night’s blissful fantasy
Inflaming love’s yearnings stoking endearing instincts,
Ascribing form and meaning to abandoned reveries,
Greeting me, you agreed~ life’s a beauteous dream.

Down the majestic mountain, over the grassy knoll,
Themes verdant, chromatic, summer’s vistas scroll,
Rustling zeal of willows, as zephyrs-avid gently blow,
Propelling tides of vigor, where rivers burbling flow.
Cherishing blooming prairies, birds frolic and trill,
Gliding over scenic valleys, reveling flight of thrill,
Circling back to realm serene vying mirthful trees,
Warbling soft melodies amidst buzzing beats of bees.
Scattering gloomy shapes, clouds tenebrous reign,
Floating haze over horizon, shrouding vibrant terrain,
Unleashing with gusting winds feisty rain showers,
Swirling, whirling mid-air, delicate petals of flowers.
Storm cedes to calming breeze waltzing long shadows,
Quivering in twilight, scintillating face of meadows,
Luring glances of smiles where blossoms of lilies cajole,
Enthralling enamored eyes, as leisurely people stroll.
Inscribing motifs amethyst, as day’s journey slows,
Refracting sun’s golden rays, skyline-amber glows,
When passions of lovers, to blushing eve disclose,
Secret lyrics of passion, hearts romantic compose.
In times of petulance,
fate is persecuted in a silent storm.
Through troublesome chapters,
where words remain unspoken,
sacred scriptures become
mindless memoirs.
Shades of black discolour
visions of rising ripples,
as love stories slowly sour and
are cast away like lost poems.
Can it all be resolved through a simple musing?
In sentences where you were
once my most devoted noun,
ink of my heart became an unwritten verb,
forming a titanium shield covered with thorns.
I could hear the pangs of my muse,
but there were no more metaphors to
portray my angst through alliterations.
Nor abstract adjectives to describe those
forgotten fields we promised to prowl.
What power does a poet possess without
romantic rhymes for a sonnet of love?
So... I lost the lust to write.
In the repetition of darkness,
to cure the sickness of the soul,
I stumbled upon the words of Rumi.
Yearning to swirl like a Dervish,
my only desire was to create poetry
within my beloved's flower garden,
inscribing blank fibres into revered verses.
In your absence little makes sense.
If only I was a tropic bird,
flying among sandpipers
in an island of golden rays,
where turquoise waves meet
ivory shores and the blessed sun,
in sapphires skies glows upon your face.
If I was to embrace your warmth
our petals of passion would
immerse like honeysuckle
and jasmine blossoms.
As you play my flute in your garnet lips,
wandering stars adore your moonstone eyes.
Upon the return of romance,
we will rewrite a new journal in
a poetic province of manifestation.
Upon the dawn of soft pastel flames,
a plethora of flowers will fall from the sky,
colouring a path of saffron, sakura and scarlet,
as this metallic hardness softens
in the sweetness of your sighs.
Since you left, I've been unable to dream,
I toss about in tangled sheets all night.
And fold paper planes, odd as that may seem,
preparing the night's fledgling fears for flight.
I believed we'd be together till death,
till you cast me aside: alone and scared.
And left little incentive to draw breath,
what hurt the most was that I thought you cared.
Each night, I scribble down my hurt and pain,
inscribing how love devastated me.
And fold that page into a paper plane;
wanting the winds of fate to set me free.
And await a breeze to launch my letter:
hoping once it takes flight, I'll sleep better.
As heartrose epitaphs
swathe earthly echoes
with swelled up w a v e s
of spiritual sirens,
sea-fairies collide
with honeysuckle footprints,
traced by mint-green manta rays
along aquatic vessel of karma,
pumping a nascent wilderness.
In shawls of raven wind,
my silhouette is a blood moon,
mirrored in mermaid's emerald eyes
'neath dove grey midnight,
flowering from skulls
like love's last smoke,
as sciaphilic pulse evaporates ~
and rusty rains of remorse remain.
Grieving wanderlust
waltzes in my
metallic burgundy veins,
as butterfly oracles flip
and seraph's saga
swirls in a torrential topaz turmoil,
inscribing truths midst
ignited bohemian serenades.
Winding moonlight
around fingertips,
ivory threads of harp
dance in fluid palms
as liquid sun, floating in dew,
melts upon titanium tentacles
of wisteria archangels.
When water hymns
hibernate in silence
and marine prayers
s u r f in surging eagle blades,
I pirouette as
an amethyst-opal whisper of wound
in white-washed warrior skin,
for, every crimson corpse
is a thumping cyclone,
burning within sienna sand.
Ancient memoirs
cascade like
tea-lime a s h drops,
upon shipwrecked lotus leaves
where the third eye slumbers
in talisman petals,
and heartbeats bubble up
as breaths of a
windswept vagabond.
So, in fears of ruby-fire r a i n,
I'm forlorn and found,
my soul chakra is sewn
with stelliferous canopies,
and within dolphin lullabies,
jeweled life gently sways.
Homing perfumed stars
in tulip temple,
I'm Athena's spirit~
a wildflower d a w n,
fading beneath
samurai cloak of
caramel flakes,
unfurled from pistachio sepals,
my honey pink aura
cradles tiger-lily sunbeams
upon eyelashes,
as f a t e flutters...
in timeless,
watercolor wisps.
Red moon rising, a globe ruby, an opulent theme,
A scarlet smile, a sight tranquil, a heavenly dream,
Weaves fabric of passions deep, as desires gleam,
Notions-romantic, undulating joy on stellar stream.
Hues iridescent paint a canvas of chromatic skies
Luring gazes, inflaming fervor of enamored eyes,
Glued to vision, intimate pleas of hearts surmise,
Inscribing crimson, where motifs moonstruck rise.
Embracing red moon, heartbeats rhapsodic tiptoe,
Caressing adoration of emotive eventide aglow,
Where, breezing affection, zephyrs amatory blow,
Whispering sweet-nothings, secrets fervent bestow.
As rhythms of our heart, lyrics of our soul rhyme,
Avowing pledges revered, through the song of time,
Reciting words divine, replaying promises sublime,
Under the red moon, we laud, bliss of love in prime.
Across celestial beauty, as impulses-angelic scroll,
Hypnotizing minds, captivating essence of soul,
A red moon tantalizing, O, sensuously we extol,
Weaving fabric of passions fantasies moonlit cajole.
The light is coming and I wish you well...
Behind the running, running man the land
Lies silent, fallow, haunted by the cry
Of one lone mourning rook who flies alone
Inscribing solemn circles in the sky
There is no time to take a backward look
Just running, running, running, running blind
He leaves the flowered garlands that she wove
With ribbons bright, with summer’s love, behind
He runs with only hope in empty hands
All faint of heart, with life blood running cold
The chill of winter earth beneath his feet
All water turned to ice in frozen fold
All out of breath with minutes yet to live
He runs, through elder grove and stand of yew
Runs, seeking for the ancient Solstice door
Described in tales the bards and ancients knew
‘Till suddenly he stumbles on a glade
All silent where no wild bird wheels or calls
And in the glade there stands a single stone
And on the ground a moon dark shadow falls
And there, within the shadow’s light he sees
That which before him other men have found
A stairway leading down in to the earth
A dark descending path in to the ground
No way but down now, this the only way
He gathers one last breath, and full of fear
Goes down the old and foot worn ancient steps
That lead towards the portal of the year
How dark the endless steps of winter’s stair
That shadow down, down to the Solstice door
To where, beneath the door a chink of light
Hints soft and bright across the cold stone floor
He sits upon the bottom step to rest
Reflect, and contemplate the year behind
And lo, she comes, bedecked in leaves and fruit
And dancing, dancing, through his weary mind
Forget me not, she sings; I am still here
I wait for you, for life to shift and stir
And through the keyhole and the chink there blows
A fragrant waft of birch and silver fir
Reviving, blessing, soft upon his face
The promise of new life upon her breath
Touched by her grace he weeps upon the step
For she has saved him with her love from death
Another year dies, another lives
He sits and waits; she watches from afar
And as he waits the light in darkness shifts
And creaks the ancient Solstice Door ajar…

When missives of love amber winds reveal
Strumming ardent music of romantic themes
As bashful moon delights blushing eventide,
And doting hearts aspire to call of desires;
Meet me then, darling, as memories revive
Sparkling sweet smile of twinkle in your eyes.
By the river’s edge, where passions spree,
Hand in hand we stroll in fervor of ecstasy
Beneath glimmers scintillating stellar glee
As we amble in reveries for miles and miles
Where, pulses passionate, longingly chime
Of two souls in embrace, content in paradise.
Sitting on shores, adulating river burbling,
Listening to love crooning innermost feelings,
We wish this moment will hum till eternity,
Lost in night’s glory as it cedes to dawning
When golden beams glisten mauve breeze
Inscribing on horizon our periwinkle dream.

Listening to New
Age music
and relaxing late at night
Mellow sounds
remind me
that the time has
come to
put
away
thoughts
on paper
Realizing that
once
you
are
published
You've blown your cover
After inscribing
this ode
I will focus on the
pretty sounds
issuing
forth
from my TV
Let my mental state
become one
of peace
and
soon I will go
to that temporary death
called sleep
Oh, my darling, how passionately you whisper to me
Secrets of forbidden love, titillating magical feelings
Mesmerizing romantic night in blossoms of dreams
Beckoning to heavens above to fulfill sweet fantasy
Alluring sensuous desires twinkling in glistening skies
As I feel your vibes, sparkling in your glamorous eyes.
Ah! river’s serene zeal rejoices your sensuous appeal
Rippling exhilaration emanating from tranquil stream
Sensing my arrival in tenor of soft midnight breeze
Rustling shamrock leaves echoing hearts’ tender music
As melodies of doting souls warble from smitten trees
Jubilant in aspirations, mythical fascinations reveal.
Chasing earthly passions in rhythms of ecstatic ballad
Oh, how I, quixotic star, inflame in your cuddling arms
Crooning breaths on sensual lips, answering you call
Satiating night you vied for, till I part at stroke of dawn
Leaving behind part me to forever cheer your heart
Inscribing upon eternal memories, fable of romance.

Oh! how gems sparkle from glinted morning dew
Wooing your view, amber rays peeking through,
Enamoring jubilation as missives of love I renew
On halo of golden sun inscribing ovations anew
Blushing purple hues, scintillating skyline blue,
Venerating day precious~ my stellar gift for you.
Arrayed in crystal vase are red-roses you adore
Where silken petals gleam, evoking springs of yore,
In bouquet of our memories exulting evermore,
For you are the love-blossoms my passions implore
Titillating heart today, tomorrow, and forever;
Answering my prayer, you’re life’s holy endeavor.
Birds gently awakened you strumming your song
As cadence of my soul, extolling you sings along,
For endearing is the appeal buoyant on your zeal
Soothing me in your bliss, forlorn tears you heal,
My cheerful theme you are, deity of eternal glee,
You are my voice of poetry, exhilarating as can be.
Fabulously shines your smile on splendor of today
As dreams satiated replay waltzing rhythms of ballet
When lyrical praises of lifelong allegiances convey:
You are the guitar my heartbeats ceaselessly play,
You are the harmonics, tunes of symphonies sway
In chorus of heart’s music celebrating your birthday.

Sitting next to me, you turn pages of our album
Unfolding sweet memories, treasured longingly,
Revealing verses of love in ballad of setting sun
Glittering autumn’s twilight on golden foothills
As blazing meadows inflame yearnings of visions
Beckoning us to horizon’s gamboge ebullience.
You remind me how we snuggled in its essence
When evening enchanted moonlit mountains
Stealing zealous glance of seductive passions
As tenor of desires rustled in crimson vistas
And smitten eyes gleamed in ruby winds of fall
Beneath millions of stars glinting heavens above.
Slowly you uncover amour of lingering dreams
Recalling fondly when we planted our seedlings
Watching them grow into vibrant blossoming trees
As spring of our lives bloomed scented flowers
And burgeoning seasons tallied passage of time
Reminiscing nostalgically in allure of bygone era.
Faded are the photos we peruse through now,
Amid falling leaves drifting on wings of eventide;
Each floating leaf evokes moment from the past
Inscribing its imprints upon autumnal canvas
As resplendent panorama revels our happy hearts
Swaying rhythms of night in your romantic aura.

The love child
of inspiration and imagination,
The poet is the spirit of a shaman
walking among us
but dwelling in the realms
of speculation and spiritualism…
a wandering spirit from the astral plane.
Nourished by the melancholy light
of the waning gibbous moon,
He rides the pale tide’s low ebb
thriving on the sandy shores of life
inscribing abiding thoughts on
the sands, stones and winds,
on the hearts, souls and minds.
He's woebegone who disregards
the ever pining spirit of the poet.
