At Nightime

Listening to New
   Age music
and relaxing late at night
Mellow sounds
   remind me
that the time has
come to
        put
       away
       thoughts
 on paper
Realizing that
once
you
are
published
You've blown your cover
     After inscribing
this ode
I will focus on the
pretty sounds
issuing
forth
     from my TV
Let my mental state
    become one
of peace
and
soon I will go
to that temporary death
called sleep

A good one to stumble on in the middle of the night. Could be doing with a little temporary death myself. Love it.

Such a mellow steam of consciousness that I think all writers can relate to. Enjoyed this write very much.

Like this one..It takes a lot of that temporary death called sleep for me..Enjoyed reading your work..Thanks for stopping by my page..I can pick and peck a little on the piano and keyboard..I never had the chance to take lessons but I can read music a little and enjoy singing but I don't know if others enjoy hearing me sing..Thanks for the visit to my page..Sara
