String of Three Tanka Poetry

fire, flying, imagery, life, love, moon, sun,

Not I said she to me
Would I said she of me be
A moth drawn to light
No heat of fool’s gold necklaces
Would make a warming breath singe!

My strong wings will soar
Covering proper distances to sleep
Where true bright light points
Real life’s fortunes will fulfill
My day and night time longings!

I have love to share
And will make that gift hold true
When coupled to take flight
Down inroads and out rides far
Wedded wing to wing bred on tour!

Villanelle: The Dilemma of the Non-Violent – 61

Evil-doers at heart are the worst cowards
Since the war-path pullulates in their numbers
They conceal their greed in faces turned backwards

The Yi Jing’s strategy compels turning inwards
Do big power foreign policies discount dollars
Aren’t evil-doers at heart the worst cowards

To seek peace in one’s well-being needs no words
Must countries sans big wing span claim to be powers
They conceal their greed in faces turned backwards

Turn not inwards for fear of others making inroads
Can what applies to countries fall on wax-clogged ears
Evil-doers at heart are the worst cowards

Yin left to itself cannot but collapse inwards
Retreat into the safety of the self indoors
They conceal their greed in faces turned backwards

The cavernous mouth sucks on its own innards
Shun the cannibal who feeds on his own neighbours
Evil-doers at heart are the worst cowards
They conceal their greed in faces turned backwards

Creating Chimeras

If a book has footnotes, though it is fiction,

How do you classify it?

Historical fiction has made some inroads

To this chimera crossroads

But science fiction

Ironically, is behind the times

I’ve kept writing vigils like Virgil.

I muse ‘neath the stellar stars at night, I sure hope you do, too.

Perhaps a mix, writing while wundering under stars is next on my list To Do

I don’t mean to be egotistical

but I hope to revolutionize literature fictional

A melding of deep research and deep imagination is my objective.

Thank you for being part of this voluntary experiment. Collective.

To cross bloodlines of logic and creative

Though she personally likes them, this avocational teacher thinks

For students, textbooks and research papers can be dry

Entertainment is currently a current vapid like air

But rippling vibrant characters could add life and water

I’ve heard people say ‘no man is an island’

and ‘standing on the shoulders of giants.’

Reading and citing

giants’ thoughts are excellent.

You’ll tower among the peaks

And enjoy their “views.”

But you can create even

small things

with your equals, also.

Long distances of space and time are fine.

Someone who is dead- a slight seance

or someone on the other side of a screen.

But you can turn to the person next to you, also.

The “joyful burden” of creating does not solely fall on your shoulders.

If each “man is a universe unto himself,” two universes combining- how much larger are the infinities?

Yet, most celebrities’ songs are sing-ular singing.

Yet, most books have but a single author. I mourn for all the lost possibilities.

And as they yammer on with their plastic faces and artificial voice sounds

I can assure you, someone in your own classroom or neighborhood has written something more profound.

And, if you look, another person in reach could sing the pants off them, hands down.

Spawn beautiful ideas and solutions and skills and combinations of knowledge and rhyme.

Ideas spawn other ideas, ad infinitum down the line.

Chimeral caleidoscopic chords.

The Underdog
The most disgusting thing of all the hair unkempt can be over looked the smell
can be ignored but the alcoholic impairment the fumble with the fingers the look
of concentration the attempts to open a plastix trash bag went beyond the norm
for me not because eye am better than or some wonderful person than or down
the nose than but just because it was irksome to watch a man work for fifteen
minutes on a sack that a sober man could open in one second he was trying to
untie the knots when any thinking person could just tear the side of bag and then
be done with bag and have the goods and that the other thing that irks me is just
what was in the bag it looked like sagging food not nothing worth the time of a
hungry homeless bag but then the eye has standards for eye am expert
scrounger. SO do not make the mistake that eye was laughing at the poor man
try no aue contrails eye was feeling awful sorry for the him making inroads last
and having a waking dream imagining just what it was in bag when he finally
gets it untied only to find its garbage after all its trash the food is sagging in the
bottom of the bag and hungry thow eye am there is still standards to be set. The
food that eye get is usually more visible than that and eye have some clear idea
of just what it is that eye am getting into there. see part two 64

For Me Is'T Easier This Way: a Collect of About Two Or Three Poems Yestereve Dashed Off

The singularity of my voice,
Wailing out in this dark, wild, and philistine-infested wilderness
Today; Its uniqueness alone amongst several million babbling,
Balbutient tongues, and inked pens and platitude-riddled pages on blinking
Computer monitory screens,
The intelligible and the inane,
The incomprehensible and the uncomprehending:
The pretenders to literature's throne and the
Imposters of the immortals of poetry, drama, essay and fictive literature, as well as history and verse,
None of whose utter sublimity can these modern dolts and interlopers ever hope to assay.
He who writes these words with a swiftly flagging, already dying ember of hope,
Has cried aloud in the midst of all the untamed, inky wilderness
Almost all of his life and particularly has he done so over
The course of the past lustrum, and never once was
He heeded, this involuntary
Modern Jeremiah-
Yet, if I recall my scripture aright, initially as did Jonah,
He did not wish the task, either:
That task with which the Lord charged and tasked him.

3. Though the age of the razor has for much more than an epoch,
And more like a century, been upon us, yet its mastery in
These times seems to have departed, like chaff upon the blowing wind.
Where is the clean and well-shaven face?
Where is the clearing, the meadow in all this wilderness of unkempt, untamed facial fur?
What ancient Jewishness has enthralled man so that now he
Daily practices the dubious art of the bearded?
Of all the multitudinous arts, precepts, practices,
Tenets, manners, and accouterments of the archaic Judean:
Many moral, upright, righteous and uniquely salutary:
Why has only the one betokening only the densely furred face
Has modern man sought to assay?
Even the author of this poetic, parodic
Jeremiad, even he, who is in fact I;
I say even he has felt the furry, follicular,
Hirsute hordes encroach full upon and in beleaguering it,
Make invasive inroads upon his Grecian deific countenance.
And aye, even that of his father's too....
ANd virtually every other man he knows,
About whom is this screed against shearing indolence, grooming sloth being written.

Sense of Freedom

Like tremolos and glissandos in music,
those crescendos and decrescendos in volume;
there’s observance of discipline and yet,
at the same time, there’s sense of freedom.
similar to life how it’s gonna be lived, so far.

Inroads within the wake of comfort zone
a melange of options shown for actions;
it gives an engaging answer to learn
in pursuit of love and openness to wounds.
Signs and wonders in today’s world,
reveal the message that God still cares;
though some people don’t look at this way
given that gift of faith in countless situations.

Now that modernity becomes superior,
in every way of living or communication;
with computers and electronics technology,
iconic symbols of the so-called Information.

But with higher gas and consumer prices,
along with recession fears and job layoffs;
there’s a call to be productive in every measure
to make ends meet and be really held accountable.

It slips to the periphery of life’s business and tests,
like a race in the battlefield where one competes;
wrestles with woes and sticks to what life holds,
with sense of freedom and God’s meaning to all.

Premium Member Tough Though True

War reprehensible war, with such connotations as I abhor'
Also the agents of its inception; on them be complete rejection'
Those that sow unrest, within the people's breast; bones of contention'
Sedition, false invention. Subversion seeping ; lost leaders no connection.'
The running sore of bribery; the massaging of anxiety division in society
Renewed other buzzwords, mind you.' Or perhaps you've given up?
Feel it's all just too much? As a weight bearing heavy that holds you as such
At night it awakes you, tries to mentally break you; in small inroads too
Each day requesting more dues' asked to live inside out? Helps to help'
Leading to who would Know where? Perhaps it's worth to still care?
Ignore the smiling doomsayers the convinnial conniving ritual makers
The encourages of pot banging, and various noise also hooting clanging
A paganistic bent, driving evil spirits away? In this enlightened age?
I see the dark of night; in this mess; this depressive plight'
It's been a psyops move in muted light, a relentless sicko driven fight
Yet hold the line, defend and rightly, speak out on the fear insighfully.'

Catastrophe

Catastrophe

Kedarnath-
The protector and the destroyer
still stands erect in his foyer
amidst the stunning mountain scape
where Mandakini flows by His nape
like a running pilgrim’s horde
where Nandi keeps his guard.

Oh! the cloud-burst and the deluge
Swept away the crowd- so noisy, so huge
Out of the shrine where Shiva’s grace
Was felt by the mob by his swiveling mace.

Oh! how could he save so savage the men
Who had incurred Shiva’s bane?
Greedy men with saggy morals in league
With corrupt power and earthy hunger so big
Luring them to make inroads in the heart of Nature
The nature who is Shiva’s Better Half
In forms and feature!!
