An Incomplete Love Story

This is a fictional poem as part of my novel, " A thousand cursed lives". Uploading it as an example for the contest I am sponsoring.

I can write the saddest of all poems tonight
Just like everyday it was quite an ordinay night
The moon was shining and the stars were bright
There I met her for the last time in our lives

There were tears in her eyes and I exactly knew why
Our story was going to end incomplete
no matter how hard we tried
We both knew that such a love will never happen again
And there I promised that even till the last day of my life
I will only love her and if not her
then I shall never have another wife
I can write the saddest of all poems tonight

People say that to complete our unfinished love
We are born again and again,
maybe we can't have each other in this life
But if we found ourselves in different lives, will you be mine?
I can write the saddest of all poems tonight

Then we had our last kiss
A kiss of love that was true
A kiss that I didn't want to be through
A kiss so unsure
A kiss so gentle to endure
It was a kiss of couple who lost their love's fight
I can write the saddest of all poems tonight

Then her time for departure came
How could I let her go
There were so many dreams
And each one filled with her

Today people asked me if we loved
each other then why we didn't marry
The fault was not hers neither I was the one to blame
Our parents couldn't do this, for them it was a shame
For their children marry to a person with a different religious claim

The problem was of religion and fate
One was an atheist where as the other practiced Islam

An Incomplete Love Story

Lullabies give birth to a new sunrise,
and the wind lies still in the valleys low…
Sapphire skies sunken in static eyes,
the birch trees bark a belting blow…

Where echoes dance in sweet romance,
and love is whispered before the rainbow…
Transfixed in trance a gadded glance,
where hungry hearts begin to borrow…

For my love stands still near the daffodil,
where the meritable meadows grow…
Your love has lost its will a splatted spill,
and now my heart is full of sorrow…

My shallow screams in singing streams,
as time washes away the wounds of woe…
I’ve lost my dreams where beauty beams,
where the wind lies still in the valleys low.

Redolent, posh lyrics have hidden flaws.
Surrounded by a rusty sapphire sanctuary
That dampened the beauteous bronze glow.
Gold-sparkly afterglows can be sumptuary.

Surrounded by a rusty sapphire sanctuary
with acidic pollens and nervous neon wisps
Gold-sparkly afterglows can be sumptuary.
built an array of dark and wicked tale tips.

With acidic pollens and nervous neon wisps
Where platinum wings are tightly encased,
built by an array of dark and wicked tale tips.
With ash, in the dawn of solace, unlaced.

Where platinum wings are tightly encased,
I wake anxious, wailing rain, loving the flute.
With ash, in the dawn of solace, unlaced.
Melding dark poem of doom into wool toot.

I wake anxious, wailing rain, loving the flute.
That dampened the beauteous bronze glow.
Melding dark poem of doom into wool toot.

Incomplete Song

Remember the walk we had at a dawn?
You mocked the fog and sang me a song

I cursed the cascade for being so rackety
You cursed the wind for being so wheezy

Arms in arms, walking and dancing
The sun too rose giggling

We passed through a garden, some buds, and birds
We passed some playing kids, nurses and mosques

The steepest mountain we climbed and laughed
The deepest dive we dived, and survived

Whale, sea horse, and shark stood shocked
As with lively skills, we had them tricked

Now the sun is sitting, the moon is waning
Our song is still not finished, and it has started snowing

Note: this one is about love, and our short lifespan. Offcourse, it is easy to pass through different stages of life when you have a lovely companion, but no matter how much time you get, it will never ever be enough. Death never stops chasing us, even if the companions stay loyal forever ). (I am hell sleepy right now, but wanted to write this one lol.)

An Incomplete Search

I went searching for-
that little child who cuddled in her mother's arms,
those tender feet that jumped in rain,
that little heart which melted for a kiss,
those twinkling eyes that gleamed in the moonlight.

I enquired the oak tree about-
one little nose that smelt the early morning jasmines,
an enthusiastic voice that sang the stories of the sky,
those tender fingers that brilliantly belted out the piano,
that curly hair which locked the light of life securely in it.

I kept on searching for those red ribbons, that blue tunic and those black shoes which accompanied the girl to her school
I walked all the way right from her study table to her office desk following her footprints to get some detail of her
I ran amidst the woods where she breathed the pure early morning air
I checked the cabins of the city metro that seated her comfortably when she choked for breath.

Her spectacles had no answer to any of my questions regarding her whereabouts
Her golden ring lied lifeless on the table having lost its royal glory
Her favorite shoes are still waiting for the mountain trekking event.
Her black bike had no answer when I asked why it's engine is never ignited.
Her friends still kept her number in their contact list pointlessly waiting for a text message from her.
Her boyfriend silently walked into his office cabin and seriously worked on his assignments - he'ld probably never smile again
Her mother sat on the dining table with two plates in front of her-she'ld probably never realise that the food remains untasted forever.

I know sadness
it comes each day without my consent
and holds me before its easel
where it paints tears streaming down my face
beneath fading moons and portraits of yesterdays
that hang in the dim lit gallery of my soul
where no one comes but the ghostly shadow of you

For love were you and I on the canvas of time
with warm breezes and light footsteps
we kissed among the fragrant flowers
that wrapped around our hearts with glorious scents
we danced in twilight during setting suns
and held hands in the rush of tide
where are feet submerged
we made love in soft splayed light in meadows
where streams rippled in the distance
and birds sang on the farthest hills

but, hate took you away
and left misty eyes and outstretched arms
and an unmeasurable space between

for I am a common man
unknown to the glittering culture
of glowing jewels and flowing dresses
that surrounds your life with its cupped hands

the words "your not worthy"
echo still in my head
when your father pulled you away without remorse
to leave me bleeding on the sword of my desire
that he thrust through our hearts
with his old cold merciless rigid statement of classes

one day, I will find you again
until then
I'll know sadness...

Incomplete

Don't ask me please,
because please I can't do.
My rubber backbone,
will only cheat you.

I'm a lonely disease,
I'm the cold in the breeze,
I'm on my knees,
my hands are tied,
and I've tried.
I've tried, I tried, I tried, I tried.
I've tired out,
I've died out,
incomplete.

Don't give me a headache,
it will last all week.
My bleeding feet,
need to hit the street.

The Dream of An Incomplete Heart

Did you even think of me while I missed you
Your words said long ago echo through my ears
The vision of you picture haunts me
Your beautiful eyes, warm and loving
Looking at me through the miles
My heart melts while I look at you
My body tingles at the thought of you
Feelings dead for too many years
Come to life when I hear your name
I dream of you
Desire you
Look forward to loving you
But time will tell
I will never give up
My heart tells me
It has been but half a heart
Needing you to be complete
I am yours
I have been yours through a thousand lifetimes
I will be yours for a million lifetimes to come

They met aboard a cruise one summer day;
their days and nights were filled with ecstasies.
Like 'two peas in a pod' they both gave way
to letting love fulfill their fantasies.

So much they held in common, it was true.
     They seemed like mirror images of each;
ideas, and likes, dislikes and points of view
were shared alike in mannerisms, speech.

She knew she was adopted, he was not.
As months went by, he later found he too
was raised by parents not his own; the plot
to solve his heritage would soon ensue.

Their wedding plans began, and all was well.
But, it arrived, that letter in the mail...
Ancestry tests matched DNA to tell
that they were siblings...heartbreak ends this tale...

about their marriage that could never be...
               exchanged for finding long-lost family.

An Incomplete Wish

I remember when you first
waved to me,
I remember when you first
asked me out on a date,
I remember when you first
called me beautiful,
I remember when you first said
"i love you" to me,
I remember how i trembled
when you first touched my lips,
I remember when you
promised me that you will
never leave me,
I remember when you said-
"you and me forever and ever".

Now i sit all alone, waiting for
you,
Thinking about all the promises
you made,
Where have you gone love?
I miss you more and more with
each passing breath,
Not a day passes without me
thinking about you,
I crave for you touch,your
smile,your kiss and your
intoxicating voice.
I wish for the old times again,
I wish you had never left my
side,
I wish i could grow old with you
I wish i could die lying in your
arms,

Alas! I fear my wish will only
remain a wish.

I wish......

"Incomplete"

I drown in your love
there is another world
underneath

in the depths of your kiss
our minds meet
caressing along curves

silky blue
the satine currents
azure sky and storms

I see me
open and
reflected in you

tasting the rolling
rapture reaching
your crystalline bed

diving for pearls
you are
a coded parable

worth exploring
a fathomless ocean
with tides calling me

incomplete
unfathomable
your movements

inconsistent
consistently
immovable

I can continue to drift
To and fro
Pretend that all I am;
All I ever was;
Was you

But this is not it
We all have some hidden purpose
That is not even ours to know

You just continue –

Pretend that all you are;
That all you were;
Was me

We can do this
We can stop the questions we always have
Take those little guidelines
Grow from that

Move forward –

Not remain on the spot
Listen to the beat of your heart
That is your compass
Your motivator
As long as it skips a beat
Your purpose is not complete

Even if all I am
Ends up not being you
Even if all you are
End up not being me

Our hearts are still beating
Our purpose still incomplete

You awaken and he is gone.
It’s the weekend and he has no work to be done.
He leaves at the break of sunshine.
You don’t know why.
So now you are down with your face in a frown.
What’s up with him you say out loud.
Why does he treat me this way now?

Yet, you still love him you state.
He is the best thing yet you think.
Accordingly, you beautify yourself.
You relax and begin to wait on him.
He usually returns at noon.
You make sure you are in his comfort zone.
This will enable you to know where he is going.

Now it is eleven o’clock and he has not call.
Your thoughts are trouble because he always calls.
Your vibes become strong.
You feel tears form.
You think about all the ups and downs you have had in this relationship.
You know it is time to leave it.
That’s when you said to yourself be patient he will be home soon.
If not, I will be here until he comes.

You hear the door open.
He comes in smoking.
He seems to be stressed.
You don’t dare to address him as he is.
He speaks to you first.
He asked you do you want to make love.
You thought he was trying to make you laugh.
So you laughed and a new chapter begins…

You are looking for a more fulfilling relationship.
You are tired of the negative.
Man want to be abusive – a violator and user.
He does not respect your feelings.
He is a killer of your inner being.
So you find a new way of seeing why woman would turn to a woman.
Same sex you see forthcoming.

As a result,

I want to marry a woman.
But, I am not a lesbian.
I am sexual responsive to beauty in which I want a real sexual experience.
I want out this confusion.

You not aware that you are speaking to him -
Until…

An Incomplete Love Story

Only heaven knows what I'm going through tonight,
there is nothing to say that would make this feel alright.
Aches inside where I hide the secrets, where I keep this,
seeping into my conscious, powerful thoughts of his kiss.
We fumbled through the first times, young lovers blind,
studies falling while we were on each others minds.
Handwritten notes promised we'll be together forever,
but separation lost the after to our happily ever.

I can still feel his arms around me that afternoon,
moving trucks came and they were leaving too soon.
We ached for each other as promises filled the empty,
"I'll be back for you baby, and I swear you'll marry me"
Teenage hopes, high school sweetheart dreams die,
left to face the loss of my best friend, all I did was cry.

Postage stamped proclamations eased the pain,
couldn't ease the drought with meager rain.
Too far the distance and distractions slowly came,
we found other companions but it was never the same.

Hours of agony turning in the years of silence,
with others we bonded family alliance.
I was there when you married her, wished it was me,
you confessed the same, we weren't meant to be.
One last kiss, a simple touch of lips, heart breaking
deprived of my destiny, I spend forever aching.

Only heaven knows what I am going through tonight,
Twenty years have passed, I'm still holding tight
to the pictures of the past when love was purity,
him and me, there is more to our destiny.

Just another chance, another touch, that feeling again,
I want to wear the ring on my finger from my best friend.

You've been left behind, a missing piece to a puzzle you will never find. That missing piece longing for the right location, Applying so much effort to gain the wrong association, the wrong affiliation. Placing yourself in the wrong situation can come from a simple miscommunication, misinterpretation or even being presented with misinformation. Not realizing we're not all in this together , but we're all in this alone. You are a missing piece , why add too another when you could start your own.

You had to start burning old bridges to make progress. You were young and dumb not realizing that it was part of the process. Once you began to realize some of the processes of progress, you acknowledged more wins over losses.

You gotta take a loss to be a boss. First become the boss of yourself. Build more than personal belongings, more than somethings you can brag about owning. Build something potentially limitless that can't be confined by some type zoning.

First become the boss of yourself. Something you must do for yourself. Build character, be bold gain control of mind , heart and soul. Yes build wealth .............. of knowledge, of spirit, knowledge heaven & hell and anything near it. Most important of all know self and know it well, listen, listen listen........ and hear it.

Some will forever feel incomplete. Because they will always seek something physical, Something solid, something concrete. Not saying this makes them ............
