I can write the saddest of all poems tonight Just like everyday it was quite an ordinay night The moon was shining and the stars were bright There I met her for the last time in our lives There were tears in her eyes and I exactly knew why Our story was going to end incomplete no matter how hard we tried We both knew that such a love will never happen again And there I promised that even till the last day of my life I will only love her and if not her then I shall never have another wife I can write the saddest of all poems tonight People say that to complete our unfinished love We are born again and again, maybe we can't have each other in this life But if we found ourselves in different lives, will you be mine? I can write the saddest of all poems tonight Then we had our last kiss A kiss of love that was true A kiss that I didn't want to be through A kiss so unsure A kiss so gentle to endure It was a kiss of couple who lost their love's fight I can write the saddest of all poems tonight Then her time for departure came How could I let her go There were so many dreams And each one filled with her Today people asked me if we loved each other then why we didn't marry The fault was not hers neither I was the one to blame Our parents couldn't do this, for them it was a shame For their children marry to a person with a different religious claim The problem was of religion and fate One was an atheist where as the other practiced Islam
