You Are Not Invited

--Latching onto my soul without an invitation--
Elements around my shore expose more than air
--Playing with fire is not a game you will win--

----
Silently she swarms in like a leech,
Feeding and sucking from the wounds my pain left behind.
She came inside: "Uninvited!"
Here have a drink, and die!
Taste the water drips that sail across my lips
Plodding vigorously in the open air of her unwanted hostility
Forbidden as one, I noticed her aura a sickening light
Imprisonment that haunted smoke around her own imperfections
The hate and envy, she lives in resides airborne
The sound that she have summoned up hunger
Brought me near the edge of everything
Feel my pain, a touch of impurities
Tainted, infected, poisoned passion, her face disguised
Surrender toward serenity, the lighthearted woman I am inside
She will never take, my full eternal grace
It’s time to reveal that blazing fire I hide
Drown her from the false flown sorrows of gust
Hold her hideous head under water--- burn her false fire out

Never will I turn my back and watch her muster them broken lids
Lungful of lies poisons the wind that flows from her snake like voice
Maneuvering the skies, scheming that snatch in
Like a viper twisting its unmatched curves,
I strike, like a pyromaniac --A burning match
Allowing her to taste a part of the air I breathe
A waste in the breeze her insecurities
Trying to destroy what she can't be, what she can't see
At the end, blustery weather will remind her of the sea inside me,

YOU! The Angel, who crawls around like a shadow
Gorging its way into the heart with a charm of greed
Twisting reality hoping nobody sees its true sick identity
Slandering my name as the master of evil and manipulative
Marking my territory, warning others of a cold draft
Grasping the beauty that glows from my soul
There it stood on the ledge UNINVITED
The devil walked and took my shoes

Premium Member Rebirth Me

Wicked memories haunt my dreams at night and stalk me during the daylight, denying me any measure of peace and tranquility. Please, take me to the river Lethe and rebirth me, so that I may forget the pain of my past and the humiliation of my childhood.

Ferry me not down the river Styx, for the lost and stolen dreams of my youth have been irretrievably drowned there. Spare me Acheron, for I have seen enough misery to last two lifetimes. Let her waterways be for the perpetrators of what is bad and hurtful.

Allow me to swim in the sacred waters of Alph, so that I may regain power to soar like an eagle, unfettered by the images that torment my mind and heart. Or permit me one sip from the great Ganga Ma, and may her waters cleanse me of my iniquities and guide me to salvation.

Baptize me in the Jordan and I will be born again, a new creature with no recollection of the past. All of my sins and impurities will then be washed away, never again to plague me. Lead me to the mighty Euphrates, that I may rediscover Eden and bathe in her crystal streams, untainted by imperfection and unholiness.

Hear my prayer for rest and peace, lest this poor soul should wither away and die. Shower me with fresh waters of truth, humility and righteousness, so that I may live and thrive, forever. Help me to escape this torturous past and present and regain joy in the hope of a better tomorrow.

*Note: I do not believe in mythologies. The images used here are metaphorical only.

**For all those who suffer the torment of mental or emotional illness, hold on to hope. Live another day, for the promise of paradise is for the meek and the broken-hearted. It will not delay, it will not be late - Revelation 21:3-5

Premium Member The Door of Uncertainty

there were moments, times in my life
when I couldn’t pray – all I felt was strife

there were fears, tears, leftovers from grief
so dark and lonely, I couldn’t get any relief

there were sorrows beyond my understanding
night’s shadows, desperations expanding

there were wars within my spirit, fights
forcing me to feel lost, without any rights

there were storms that made me feel lost
when I look back, I still see what it cost

there were so many feelings I couldn’t express
times when my heart’s hope was only a guess

there were thoughts that fed my insecurities
desperation that left me with life’s impurities

there were relationships, oh, I’ve loved so much
wouldn’t it be beautiful to feel a gentle touch?

there were sensitivities that taught me to doubt
when it comes to feelings I often just want out

there were rains, tempests who were so garish
despite it all though – this love would never perish

amid the battles, amongst the cries – the salty tears
there came a voice stilling my worries and fears

it was love that reminded me - He’s always near
whatever I might face, His love is completely sincere

when I don’t know what to do and the pain is deep
I look to my Savior, knowing that my soul He will keep

Premium Member Oh Death

Oh death once had us
Yoked to you in slavery
From our wickedness
And rejecting the only true God
We built idols of stone and wood
But there was no response
When calling out
Oh death you once had us
That we would put trust in the stargazers
To tell us of the future
And believe those
Who are considered
To be the most wise of man
But these foolish thoughts
Are from this world below
And doesn't comprehend
The beauty of your love
And your plan from above
Oh death you once had us
To believe
That all sinners are all going to Hades
That there is no hope for the bad
With the mindset
That we are good
And the bad will be cast
Into the lake of fire
Well oh death
You have lost your sting
Jesus has placed
You under his feet
It is finished
Death could not hold him to earth
The yoke has been broken
Jesus with his breath
Has sent the spirit of fire
Across this earth
To burn away the oldman
That was born to this world
For Jesus I ask you
To keep my old man here
In the lake of fire
And mold and purify me
Of all my impurities
That by your will
I might be made acceptable
And receive the seal of life
That one needs
To enter your Kingdom
That I shall become less each day
And more of you

Premium Member Cleaning up the Soup Kitchen

It's been 9 days since I've posted in PS because of being needed by my sister. She's progressing, but very slowly. Thank you to those who've expressed your concern and offered prayers for her recovery. My granddaughter is over her crisis.

I've had little time or desire to peek into PS, but from what I've seen and been told, not only is AI rampant but plagiarism has returned. I ask you, poets... which do you consider to be the bigger offender?

A poet's voice will not be drowned out in obscurity
when from our conscience thoughts it is displayed.
But when the soup is riddled with AI cheating
and plagiarism, it's rancidly sour with impurities.

No surge of waves will stop a poet's ink from flowing
nor will gusting tempest winds cast their pens away.
It's the deep desire to write that all of us are owing
to the need of words seeking escape from the mind.

Those of us who write from heart and soul...
yes, that sounds like an overused cliche,' but AI
poetry is just a click away, written by machines
and plagiarists steal it from another source...
posting it as their own. It's demeaning to the Soup,
or as Jan would say, "It's nothing more than poop!"

I would like to think the community is worth saving
but I've seen no signs of that taking place.
Indifference is not the attitude anyone should take.
If the site matters, clean it up... for goodness sake.
Leave your thoughts in comments if you're craving
a say and I'll respond when I can from a hospital room.

None of us should take for granted a single day of life
or our family and friendships for we are not immune
to life threatening issues that always take precedence
over everything else beneath the glowing haloed moon.

Refiners Fire

I am a bar of gold as shiny as can be
At least that is what I see
But inwardly other alloys lie
Seen only by the refiners eye

So intent is he to make me pure
Fiery trials sent, gold will endure
The impure thing to the surface rises
Impatience, pride, and other uprisals

It's not my fault I boldly say
I was shiny 'till that fire came my way
It's the fires fault that I uproar
That ugly was not there before

If you don't send the fire my way
Then shiny I will surely stay
NO! The outward man you look upon
But the pure in heart to Me belong

Patiently He says, confess and then
Forgiven, I will wash away your sin
Mixed in your gold, impurities lie
And they will surface by and by

Do not point, accuse and blame
The ones I use to surface them
Love the ones I chose to use
To polish, sharpen and purify you.

Be thankful for my trials? You should!
All things work for your own good
The purpose? No, not to condemn
But that I might wash away your sin

You see I have come to set you free
From all of the impurities found in thee
The fruits of love will take their place
Lay down your life, I'll give the grace

I'm the pot Lord, You're the potter
Heat the fire all the hotter
On your altar I am a living stone
Mold me, make me, your holy home

Premium Member Chained

Winged, winking devils dance
on onyx tinted wings entice
burnt appendages so broken inside rib cage

Unable to fly out of this hell hole
a shadow lifted nevermore
a touch as cold as night lures steel cuts
knees buckle, locked down
nowhere to run from

Rusted chains tighten
each new link pierces,
digs deep the heart's flesh
not enough mercy to shred apart
desire kept it beating just
....this must be what love is
bound in arms
blinded souls cannot escape

Tormented visions
a dark cloud silhouette
spinning around the sun
ravished by chaos
an ancient evil curse arises
within shadows suffering
darkness inside embers burning
with hot pain buried inside ashes

Deeply rooted demonic forces spawn
an evil eye turns
evolving in bad deeds
capturing the innocence of the human
sacrifice
one beast of an unclean spirit
possessing love charms of a snake
coils with lust
putting a heart in chains
attacking with wickedness

Fallen angel filled up inside
hate and pride
cunningly from out of the ashes
remains a demonic lapdog
violating innocence

Soul of impurities
a shadow grows darker
in every love that is taken
unpure vessel when the eyes open
to the dawning light

Centrifuge

Searching for love is like a centrifuge ...
you gotta separate the chaff from the wheat,
you have to separate the sour from the sweet
Searching has you spinning around,
spinning like an I'm-looking-for-you top
And when you find the right one,
all the worries in your mind suddenly stop
Love has your back hugging the wall,
has you feeling upside down,
yet catching you every time you start to fall
Centrifugal force has you suspended off the ground
No more tears of a clown,
no more smiley face frown
Centrifugal force ain't gonna let you come down
So put your heart in the test tube,
flip the switch, start the centrifuge
Separate away all the hate,
away from your soul impurities must gravitate
Solid love is all that remain,
beautiful alchemy is how love made your heart change
The centrifuge is the tool that you use
to attract those whom your heart can't ever refuse

Premium Member Unfinished

On the Potter's wheel
I am clay -
sticky, messy red clay,
being kneaded like bread,
'till pliable.
In firm but gentle hands
the Potter molds and shapes me into
a vessel of honor,
a vessel worthy of a King.
God is not finished with me yet.

A diamond in the rough am I,
A chunk of rock.
But, as the Master Jeweler
chip, chip, chips away my impurities,
bit by bit,
I begin to sparkle, I begin to shine,
'till that final day when I'll be transformed
into a pure exquisite diamond.
A diamond fit for a King.
God is not finished with me yet.

My life is an unfinished tapestry.
Day by day my Creator
carefully, deliberately
weaves a thread here,
snips a thread there.
When my life comes to an end,
the tapestry will be complete.
I will be perfected.
Until then,
God is not finished with me yet.

Night Rider

Slowly she climbs aboard
through darkness of shadows cast
her noble steed awaits
anticipating the joy of being ridden

through valleys and mountains
full moons glaring upon howling wolves
through waterfalls of sensual pureness
one can hear the breath of hoofbeats

always she rides at night
afraid of false impurities
never understanding
she glows in the dark.......

when you love somebody, nothing should ever be hidden, especially that which
you give unto each other....Peace

Premium Member Open Thine Own Heart

Immerse in the tranquility of truth
And believe in the opulence of your
Devine being, BEHOLD IT,
As the proof, You seek is THOU
As Heaven’s Breath of Spiritual eloquence
As an Infinite horizon
In the radiance of light of Heaven
As beyond Yourself
As LOVE with Conscious intent
In the waves of Tenderness
Ascending and Receding
To return to the Egoless light

Behold,
Open the gate of your Heart
To witness the fountain of LOVE
The redeeming endless flow
That reconciles LOVE to life

Dear wandering pilgrim,
The gatekeeper Of HEART,
BLEED THE WATER OF LOVE
EAGERLY and BLISSFULLY
TO CLEANSE
THE WORLD IMPURITIES
And give gratitude to let the Fountain
Of Purity, Kindness, and Tenderness
Trail the robe of Bliss and Glory
TO BESTOW LOVE,
HUMANITY And COMPASSION
Until YOU REMEMBER
that YOU are ‘’LOVE’’
THE ULTIMATE HEALER
THE ULTIMATE
MANIFESTATION OF TRUE LOVE
THE TRUE SUBLIME CREATION OF LOVE

Premium Member Love Is Like Porcelain

Love is like porcelain
So perfect and smooth
Two sides giving
With so much to lose

Love is like building blocks
Lived day by day
Words can say
But only true hearts display

Love is like porcelain
When cracked can go wrong
Impurities take over
We never sing the same song

Love is like building blocks
By day they reside
If they crumble and fall
Then grows the divide

Love is like porcelain
It has to be lived
Fifty, fifty
Each has to give

Reprobate

Reprobate silver
shall men call them,
because the LORD
have rejected them
Jer. 6:30

You never liked anything that was good
and wholesome
Clean conversation was something you never cared for
Filthy speaking was what you liked to hear;
the more nasty it was, the better it sounded to your ear
You rejected holy teaching when you was a boy,
killing small animals was your secret joy
Doing wicked things,
then having someone else get blamed
gave you a thrill
That rock hidden in your hand behind your back,
always got thrown when no one was looking
Shattering windows and lives
When it came to doing evil, you never compromised
You were just plain reprobate,
had much love for doling out the hate
Hated the holy things of God
Hated the reproof you received from the rod
of correction,
that your parents gave you when you were a boy
But now you’re a grown man
You love being incorrect:
lying and cheating is what you love best
You’re totally reprobate,
you love singing the praises of hate
Unclean is your hands,
your bloody prints mar the inside
of so many coffins
Silver tongue devil you are,
dross are the impurities of your soul
Reprobate silver rejected by God,
your unloving heart ... so stony and cold
Got lying lips and the evil eye,
you laugh at seeing others cry
King corruptor of souls,
the innocent you love to taint
Maker of grieving widows,
self-ordained killer of the saints
Silver tongue devil you are,
reprobate silver rejected by God,

Faithful

An expression of allegiance to the image in one's eye
A vow to never forsake thee even with a miniature lie
Or even a blemish to the bond that our souls share
Believers need not a dream nor a single prayer
The obstacle of faith is believing without seeing
And the beauty is the truth that one is being
Being this imaginary image my eyes have never seen
Making me trust that one's hands remain clean
Free of all impurities and trouble that seems to follow
Preventing this heart from a hole so deep and hollow
Or killing a dream filled with optimism for tomorrow
And consistent in every way and not just words you borrow
More than devotion, something like a promise from the heart
A commitment to thee that this joy shall never depart
And drain the evil thoughts so that they no longer flow
Only the King of the mountains in the celestial skies above can truly know
That the words which provide me with comfort are authentic
Not just false portraits of happiness pretending to be photogenic
Or fabrications misleading the naive and the blind
But giving contentment to this confused mind
Leading one away from the thought of destruction and disaster
Establish my faith the same way as my pastor
Make one feel like there is only I and no other
Build this trust so high that belief can go no further
Uncover your words and leave no mask
Because your faithfulness is all that I ask

Premium Member Paradox

LOVE IS:

- that which is sculpted by time
     yet defies time...

- that which energizes
     yet drains all energy...

- that which is focused by the lens of sacrifice
yet denies any sacrifice was made...

- made strong
     by sharing weaknesses...

- made pure
     by sharing impurities...

- made joyful
     by sharing burdens...

- made eternal
     by sharing time...
