Hush falls, like soft down, 
velveteen, 
the canopy of night,
when kisses rouse the tender 
nerves, 
the tips of your breasts;
sweet buds pressed hard 
against the sensing tongue.

down 
from stars and distant quadrants,
pooling violet shadows
dilated in your eyes.
