Best Ice Cold Poems
Do you remember old aunt Julie
In a hurry she opened all the windows
Even in the middle of the winter,
rain or storm
She suddenly needed to have fresh air
Breathed like a whale
The face changed color
Her cheek, ear and throat became deep red
Talked louder than normal
She was a comic figure
We were just young children
did not understand
The years go by ...
we are there ourselves
Hormonal hot flashes
I'm smiling by the old memories
Aunt Julie's advice was;
No estrogen supplements or pills ... but ...
...... Ice cold champagne ......

Wild Roses in Ice
At the
very edge
of a
frozen pond
during
the
ice-cold
Winter
deep
in an
old
country
forest—
unbelievably
I gaze upon
three
wild roses
frozen
in a
block
of ice
as part
of the
larger
ice flow.
These
roses
at the
pond’s
very edge
are
rosy-red
radiant
beautiful
and even
redolent
although
encased
they are
in the
frozen
ice.
These
rosy-red
roses
appear
to be
perfectly
set
in a
straight
order—
horizontally
just like . . .
1-2-3.
A
wondrously
enchanting
sight from
Mother Nature
for sure—
bringing
a big
smile
to my
face
whilst
capturing
my thoughts
and
stirring
my emotions
and
touching
the
very core
of
my being
and
my heart
and
my soul
forever!

With a silence that cut through the laughter
She entered the room, bitterness
Edged around her features, portraying
Cruelty with an unfeeling sword of darkest
Gloom, dread so dismal it feels, almost,
Like grief sinking into the bones
Sullenness coughing up phlegm that rots
In the heart, the soul, the mind
Where there is a penetrating hostility
Her eyes glared at the laughing children
Echoed cynicism through the air
Like a poison dart piercing the heart
Her hatred tasted of a sourness
Only the very truthful could attest to
She was hard and her icy stares forced lovers
To pull away from one another, chastised
By the coldness that left chills on the mind
Resentment fell from her pores, sweating acidity
Imploring hope to be cast aside for disaster
Calamity so dreadful it was as fatal as a stab wound
A trepidation so repulsive with its awfulness
It feels like being in a nightmare,
Terrifying
When she looked at me, though…
I saw through the cool, calculating gaze
Into the heart where there had once lived
A child of five, all giggles and smiles
Alive with the joy of silliness, …
I saw, beneath the ice in the veins
The warmth of a heart who was living
… with excruciating pain

Touching any metal un-gloved,
Turns skin to tin, fingers on fire,
Breathing inside what’s above,
Kindles lungs to a stinging pyre.
Exhaled steam is white as a dove.
Some find refuge wearing eider attire,
But hours exposure ends the tropical cove.
After a while the icy novelty tires,
As keeping calm means the need to move.
Snowmen dread mercury higher,
For melting’s their fateful groove.
Winter’s funeral march has its criers,
But in shivering’s end there is no lost love.

Light Verse
Frost smoke over the mountain, a frozen lake
In the eye an effect of beauty,
with sculptures in shiny and polished ice
The trees are moaning and the animals
are filled with fear and empty stomachs
An existence beyond existence
While hunger burns in naked trees
The hard ground covered with a half meter of snow
No human footsteps, silence fears
It is expected storm to the night
and the temperature falls

Frozen ice crystals
The moon are meant to glisten
Dressed from tip to toe
The darkness and pain followed
What a madness in this world

She had a smile that captured
The very essence of you
Sweet and soft words
A Latina who descended from the heavens
Her sweet voice would melt you
Till you become the water around her
Then it dawned on you
She was as cold as ice
Her white dress became black
Her beauty became her sword
She swiftly cut open your heart
Your blood flowed onto her
Crimson red Queen
She who devoured you
Your soul now empty
Her heart still Cold as ICE
Her smile forever frozen upon the tomb of your heart

so desperate to meet you here
however you do not show
i come back to the same place
grey hairs display my stress
a certain part of me tingles until i come close to climax
my knees beg to buckle, but i remain firm with what little strength i have left
deep within my mind i need you so badly
i am so enamored with my lust for you that my brain cannot connect
i am totally ignorant of the fact that the feeling is not even close to mutual on her end
yet and still i wait in the same place in all seasons
the circle has become a maze craze concave quadrilateral in total darkness
so anxious to see you here....to heavily tight to be freely loose

I see you there
While your swarms of light surround you
A typhoon could hit,
And you'd still stand just as still
Your expression unfaltering through it all
It is spring now
Your name smells like flowers
But the rose
Of your cheeks is gone
Winter frost clings to your hardened face
Your eyes were rich
Like sunset on planting soil
Warm earth to sleep on
Now I sleep in the trees
I always get frostbite from the cold ground
A touch of your skin
Would make my heart melt
Last time we met
Gliding your arm underneath my robes,
I shivered
You were ice cold

Elegy
Some say my heart is cold and dark,
While others say I’m beautiful.
Some say my appearance, without remark,
Brings about chaos and confusion –
As shoppers hurry to the store, a spark
Of urgency in their step, buying up essentials,
For the moment when I fall down in the park.
Some say my soul is beyond desolate,
While others say I’m jubilant,
Leaving ponds perfect for those who wish to skate,
Inspiring jolly snowmen and women,
Who might be named Mr. Harry and Ms. Kate.

Ice Cold
Leave summer behind before it starts
Take to the molten core of Earth
Too much heat and fire is not enough
Make it hotter, burn, dissolve the calm
Winding roads turn straight under high pressure
Temperature rises, blazes passages
Folds them inside out with endless furor
Ashes build on lava flows
Harsh and slow, down where low roads go
Start a furnace wild, hard to handle
Melt. Feel fever. Sweat. Take in infernos breathe
Touch the sun before it sets
There is nothing left but heat
So be content.
Fire is your friend

Didactic
Is it cold in here or is it just you? Though I know we're on the inside I swear the wind just blew. It's I feel a lot now but not something I'm used to. And I can feel the temperature drop down whenever I'm close to you. I swear the weather says August but your eyes say December. And it's the warmth that you used to show that I can no longer remember. So it's not the wind that blows, it's just that look in your eye. And I swear a ghost walks passed me everytime that you go by. So even though you're cold as ice, all I can do is pray. And hope that maybe one day, the ice will melt away.
