Flo J Thomas A Walking Angel Gone

For the rose without season is you Light between stars shine through your soul Ocean of kindness whispers your name Joy resides in those beautiful eyes Treasure trove,a friend to keep Humbleness and Honesty your virtues Open-hearted to all, expecting nothing in return Mother and Wife who lives life for her beloveds Admirable for verse, and much more for gentle deeds Special is the best word which sincierely describes you.
Dedicated to Flo.J Thomas- a friend who supported so many soupers here on ps ,by reading our poetry, and encouraged so many by giving free memberships ,She even sent so many surprise gifts across the ocean, one of which has even reached my own land, and made me so happy. Today Flo. is gone. Her account is closed, and Her beautiful words are now replaced by an empty page, on this site. This saddens me deeply. It saddens me anytime any souper gets hurt enough to leave. It hurts because poetry 's purpose is not to hurt people but to unite them.Us soupers here should be more careful how to use our words .Lets not let our tongues work faster than our hearts, nor our pretentious minds play the game better than our kindred souls.Someone have hurt Flo badly by stating mean remarks about Her,so I was told.I don't know who that someone is,because Flo was woman enough not to reveal names, but She was hurt, hurt enough to leave here, and close Her account.I can't watch more soupers leave due this nonesense.Pls lets all be more careful how to use our words.I am not pointing fingers at anyone in particular,I am saying this to myself as well.We all need to be more gentle and respectful .Situations like these are making friends considering leaving here for good, and each time one of us is gone, its a huge loss for our soup familyLet us all remember that once we utter a word we cannot take it back.It is ok for us to be different, have our distinct ideas, it is great to share them, but lets do everything with love. To our dear Flo I say -'Please do return to poetrysoup and open a new account.I am sure you are greatly missed by many, sweet lady with an uplifting spirit. Thanks for being You.Pls Come Back '.

So Soft is the Sonnet of Willows

This is a very long poem and I will understand if you choose not to spend the time reading it.
It is something I wrote a long time ago and I thought I’d just put it out here in case anyone cared to read it.
Thank you, Chris

So Soft is the Sonnet of Willows Such is the heart of a dreamer Sought after deep in the mist Seeking the quest of a thirsting desire Falling to moments like this Peering the distant endeavor Calling the places I’ve known Sending out visions so endless in wonder Standing this ledge all alone Come to my heart always steady Shape it as how it should be Teach me the ways of your unending song Lyrics of comfort to me Lift me with phrases now spoken Take from my words on the page Collections of feelings I wear on my sleeve Shine me the light of your ways I am of clay so unmolded Bend me and shape me to form Open my heart with the keys of your love While dying I wish to be born Caverns so wide as I forage The depth of their history deep Shadows that follow the pathways I walk Stairways my soul it does keep Yours is my desperate reason Clinging to every fold Challenges lie in wake of the storm Northerly winds flowing cold I shan’t recoil destinations My mind it is set on the prize Temptingly so it does fan every flame Come I shall soon realize Time for the moment a danger Season’s of past now I fear As I declare my unending longing Wishing you ever so near Trapped as I traverse the mountain Chains of my pain garner tight Reaching for avenues lost in the fog Blinded by darkness of night Soon I will relive the mornings Joined by a perfect content Welcoming sunrise as everywhere glows Finding the hours we’ve spent Trusting that no one is watching Holding your hand on the street Wrapping my arms ‘round your waist for a while Kissing your lips soft and sweet Words that will require actions Motions in spite of the sky Threatening these clouds overhead as I walk Waving the past a good bye Now as my life is beginning Fortunate flags sure to wave Sending a secret embedded in stone Caution for this I do crave Asking this long winded journey Steps in the grass for to find Destiny praises my unfettered wishes Spent as the heart does unwind Yours is the hand that I reach for Save me in spite of my tears Love me for many more wars shall invade Filling the future with years Run with me out to the fields Keep me in sight at all turns Paint me with colors so vibrant and true Teach me for I want to learn I will not be so untrusting Pressures no longer to hide Truth is my shield as it shines ever gold Honesty I shall confide Come to my heart it is waiting Here in this darkened abyss Shining so bright for your eyes now to see Reaching for you that I miss I promise you shall not be sorry Taking this chance is the key Found in the corners of thoughts so inspired True as my covenant be I whisper my truth through the mountains Breathless I run to the shore Hopeful I patiently wait your reaction Searching for you evermore Soft is the sonnet of willows Wavering winds form the streams Blowing so that you may welcome my peace Singing the songs of your dreams Mine is a tiresome journey Treasures all cast to the bay Every dollar I’ve owned as a man Spent in a fortunate way For this is my precious possession A heart that does beat from above Carefully showing the face of the plan Showering you with my love Rain on the valley of passion Rose petal scent brings the breeze Take from this night the joys of affection Lingered in fresh memories This I do pledge, my heart crossing No longer wishing to die Rivers of hope that do wash on your feet Sent forth attempting to try Cherishing love I am finding Wanting forever to be Everything that you do see in your soul All that’s expected of me I am but only one person Doing just what I will do Being myself in the face of the storm Sending my love up to you There is no mask I am wearing The smile you see is for real I can not be something that I am not All of my life I reveal Hoping that you understand this Praying my words written of Things that my heart wants to tell you my dear Penned now with only my love Such is the heart of a dreamer Seeking not silver and gold My only goalis that you love me true Just as my dreams have foretold So soft is the sonnet of willows Wind through their branches blows free Whispering dreams evermore shall come true When you are standing with me

Darling, you dragged me in too deep

Darling, you dragged me in too deep
And abandoned me like an anchor in a lonely sea.
You shouldn't make promises that you can't keep.

I was doomed once suspicion began to creep
As it swam in your words that lacked in honesty.
Darling, you dragged me in too deep.

Please tell me, did you lose an inch of sleep
Making empty promises and cheating on me?
You shouldn't make promises that you can't keep.

I should've listened to doubt upon taking a leap,
Love should carry no doubt; certainty is key.
Darling, you dragged me in too deep,

This torturously lonely sea does weep
That you could ever reach such a cold degree.
You shouldn't make promises that you can't keep,

But apparently I'm a promise not worth keeping;
If you want to call this love, I'll say it can't be.
Darling, you dragged me in too deep,
You shouldn't make promises that you can't keep.

Christmas on the Pacific islands

Christmas on the pacific islands where it's summer everyday
is all about families, friends, joy, love and foods
Though we are many islands and ocean divided
We are forever united with one God
Some small islands may not have
the Christmas colorful lights but in all honesty
they have the best blinking sparkling
twinkling dazzling star lights
they're beautiful in their dramatic and
eye catching lights like no others
We celebrate the birthday of Jesus
in our unique and organic island ways
We always say Merry Christmas
It's never about the material gifts
It's all about the warm joy of Christmas
Singing in tunes or out of tunes
we are clapping our hands
side stepping moving along to the rhythm
We sing joyfully loud in His name
Born is the King our savior
Praising Him highly
Thanking Him humbly
Lifting up our hearts to Him fully
Everyone is glee on life
Everyone is glowing with joy
Everyone shake hands to forgive those
with guilts, dislikes or with differences
Everyone shares a hug or two to embrace
love from one to all
Every woman is wearing flowers in their hair
Every man is wearing leis around their necks
as it is an island style and proudly so
Everyone is wearing bright new cloths and
shoes but mostly sandals for the ladies or
flip flops preferably for the sandy areas
It's a day of joyful to spend with loved ones
Kids playing freely and cheerfully
Sharing fresh organic local foods and
coconut juices
Naturally alcohol free but drunk on Merry
Partying till the stars are twigging out
Collapsing with satisfying hearts
And this is how we celebrate Christmas
on the Pacific islands... Smile!

To Speak Of Women

Men ...
Giving advice to OTHER men, on women
That's funny ... ironic "funny", I mean, (though I did chuckle)
As if ANY man ever had a clue what women are about ...
But, I suppose, I have learned a few things

Very painfully learned ...
But NOTHING is absolute with women ... nothing is empirical
So, I won't call my tidbits "advice", but rather "observations" ...
That's as close as I can come, (or ANY man that I know, for that matter)
OK, here goes - Firstly, LISTEN ... REALLY listen to her

That is, for me, the key to any relationship
But if you really listen and respond with care to what a woman is saying
Then you're off to a good start
      HONESTY ...
We all tell little lies at times, for the sake of kindness

But strive to be forthright and true, always
Or it will shatter the bridge before it's barely built.
    MAKE HER LAUGH ...
A sense of humor will take you a very long way with most females
And it doesn't hurt your OWN well-being, either

To be positive, up-beat, happy, and funny.
  ROMANCE ...
    Yes, the old-fashioned, hold-the-door-and-lay-down-the-coat romantic
(Unless she doesn't LIKE that sort of behavior, of course).
Attention to little romantic details like your anniversaries ...

I mean anniversaries for EVERYTHING
The day you met, the day you first said "I love you"
The day you kissed, held hands, met her best friend, went to a concert
Every little special moment you can remember ...
The moments that put that "Awwww!!" look on her face

Flowers, chocolates, a four-leaf clover ... be creative.
  WORDS ...
Be careful with your words ... they hear EVERYthing
And they remember every little promise and special comment
Even though YOU may not think of it the same way.

Find her likes and dislikes, and write them down, if you have to.
  PDA's - just DO it!
Hold her hand in public, don't walk in front of her but beside her
Brush the hair from her eyes, give her quick, romantic kisses
Little through-the-day massages of her back or shoulders.

Avoid looking at other women at all costs!
Be valiant and chivalrous, and cook her dinner sometimes
Ask her how her day was ...
Tell her how beautiful she is and compliment her
NOTICE the little changes she makes in her clothes and jewelry

Discover her dreams and make them yours
Leave your arm around her, even if it falls asleep
Know the details of her childhood ...
Don't kiss her ONLY when you want to be intimate
        * MAKE LOVE to her, don't just "have sex" *

Don't be satisfied until SHE is, (and learn how to nibble)
Learn how to have mutual climax, (you'll thank me)
Learn the special places on her body that make her crazy
(Nape of her neck, behind her knee, her ear, under her arm, palm of her
Hand, dimples on her back, inside her thigh ... there are MORE!)

Find those places and make love to them with your hands and mouth ...
Tenderly ... write naughty words there in cursive with your fingertips
Make pleasing her in bed your most important job!
LEARN what she likes and doesn't like, and be attentive to it ALL
Learn how she likes to kiss, and do it for hours

Kiss her everywhere ... and savor every inch
Kiss her with some of her hair between your mouths
Kiss her upside-down, (trust me ... it's amazing!)
Taste her like she's the most delectable, expensive candy you've ever had
And then share it with her ... in a kiss

NEVER let her go to bed or say goodnight ANGRY or unsatisfied
Find out what makes up her "Knight in Shining Armor", and BE it
    DO. NOT. CHEAT. EVER ...
If you can't be faithful, you should not be with her ... period.
Jeremy Piven once said, "The Fidelity Bank and Trust is a tough creditor,

"If you make a deposit somewhere else, they close your account ... FOREVER!"
Learn it. Remember it. LIVE by it.
Make her smile ... make it be your smile.
Love her fearlessly, proudly, honestly, loyally, and DEEPLY.
Dance with her at unusual times ... even if there's no music or dance floor

BE CLEAN, take care of yourself, wear what she likes to see on you
Be polite and caring, and make sure others RESPECT her
Always, always make her the most important thing in your life
And make sure she FEELS that way
Don't be possessive, but be protective

Don't be forceful, but be assertive
Don't be angry, but be passionate
Don't be weak, but be tender
Don't be crass, but be sensual
Don't act stupid, but make her feel intelligent

Don't act like a loser, but let her win
Don't act indecisive, but let her choose
Don't act foolish, but let her guide you
      And most of all ...
Treat her like the princess or queen that she DESERVES to be!

I know this isn't everything, but it's a good start
  Besides, I'm still learning ...
And NO ONE will ever learn it all ...
Such is the sublime and wondrous enigma called WOMAN ...
And we wouldn't have it any other way.

* I just wrote this entire poem for the "Men Your Advice To Another Man On Females" Poetry Contest, and then remembered it was for RHYME only! Such are the wages of growing old, lol. Ugh! *

I THINK THEREFORE I AM

I THINK THEREFORE I AM "An ounce of hypocrisy is worth a pound of ambition" --Michael Korda Liberty... This everyone's want-- stretching an autonomy to unbuckle self-discovery I got mites and bugs living in my head-- infesting my mind. They... daring a chance to worm my guts and electrify my peace. They adulterate seeking ways to emerge from claws of doubts to grains of trust. My veil of grace they bite and bite devouring me 'til I set to pursue my act. Should I repulse... then spread my wings to fly? or should I be a little puppet-- controlled, slave to strings attached to me? or I'd rather choose a mask-- my gamble to earn sympathy or popularity; my weapon sheltering my luck; my fall or my win? Cogito ergo sum. I think, therefore I am. The mites and bugs in my skull blown from shocks infused by my firing drive. My cavalry of Modesty, brave to rise face the furnace of battlegrounds. Insincerity. Malingering. Pretension are artillaries luring hypocrisy but love, honesty and bravery: the bombs I defy to conquer the trades. If God is with me, who can be against me? Standing like a Molave rooted evergreen, ever strong. My face bulletproof to those who I believe wrong. A standing soldier ready to offer her life to fraud and tyranny. I refuse to be fed on standing lies. The harpoons of verity, I battling dart, raining towards the barbaric boxes as they... They are my lioness roar, my freedom and my soar piercing the pumping heart of those who eat innocence, I... dauntless! _________________________________________________ ** I think therefore I am is said by Rene Descartes Romans 8:31-- If God is with us, who can be against us? Characterization

Our two party system isn’t working
Plastic figures, disaster lurking
Conservative or liberal isn’t the call
It’s the ultra rich against us all
For the people is what it’s not
All candidates have already been bought
Platforms built on promises and lies
Hear the people, ignore their cries
Wave that flag as if you’re proud
Then bow and worship the corporate crowd
You no longer serve, you’re out of place
You are an elitist group, a public disgrace
You’ve subsidized the rich with your insanity
Then crippled the growth of humanity
You’ve killed our children in endless war
The media smiles and keeps the score
We sing of amber waves of grain
You’d sell it all for personal gain
You left our budget in disarray
You’ll tax our grandchildren for it someday
No water boarding terrorists you warn
Then murder a child who is still unborn
You have no ethics, you have no shame
You have no morals, you accept no blame
Washington is a place I’m told
Where politicians are bought and sold
Where dreams and ideals are destroyed
A city where honesty is null and void
A place where hope has been dethroned
You won’t get nominated unless you’re owned
A place where once” In God we trust”
Now we look in sheer disgust
Country burning from your sparks
You replaced Uncle Sam with Karl Marx
Our nominees we cannot select
The media decides who we elect.
Politicians with great orations
Puppets to the corporations.

- Angel Of Light -

Gazing faraway reaching to the stars twinkle silver
shooting distant light of life orbiting inside one fantasy

Blazing hot burning trails upon a flaming kiss
from out of this world flies to You a dream

You lift me from darkness, it lives a star in your heart
Come with me and see tomorrow, where happiness replaces sorrow

Smiling weightless floating on magic dust spells cast
the heart golden overflowing deeply sweeping sands

A small moment of a lifetime, unaware of what it really was
Creates art is demanding but ride the wind, catch a star

Love flows pure washed surf inside the ocean waves crash on shore
Tides turning emotions swell unfolding feelings wild horses at your feet

Of music golden notes feels the dream really, but it's just fantasy
Honesty precious way even with storms and lashing rain

Enlightening eyes in one vision of a mind circling angelic beauty beholding
love who openly smiles pure in amazing grace always and forever shines

- Valentines Kiss -

Forever dazzling golden memories treasure flashbacks
Floating always within deep waters mirror reflections

There's nothing in the universe that compares to you
Into our world of inspirational and beautiful dreams

Growing wings in loves light freedom flies
Inside dancing warm waves of feathered feelings

I believe that you're my destiny I see the shine in my life
These are the special things that make me love you

Soul touching beautiful blue rising sparkling diamond kiss
Salted from deepest ocean currents one dream sings

Exactly where the ocean begins and it decides to meet
Making me want to live in the moment forever

Sweet lips burst with flavor tides turn as the piper fish plays music
Flying over the sea sweet tunes dancing in ripples of light

With honesty and compassion a gift so great
I can only give you one thing my love is where you are

To My Guardian Poet II

There is not a poem that you fail to read
Or time that I’m away you don’t ask, “Why”?
There is not a time when you don’t plant a seed
Of joy into my heart when tears I cry

You’ve helped me to believe in what I give
Seen beauty in the silly lines I rhyme
You’ve helped me want a better life to live
And shown me Godly love time after time

You will not leave my writes without a thought
Oh what things need to change for smoother flow
A friendship true like yours cannot be bought
You’ve helped my heart to breathe, expand, and grow

A Guardian poet you have been to me
Accept my thanks and loyal constancy

Jade (Eileen to you, Richard Lamoureux)

This is my second poem by this title. Richard Lamoureux has been a constant friend, mentor, and guide. I so appreciate his integrity, honesty, and spirituality. He's encouraged me over the years I've been here.....to keep writing, to enter contests...and to believe in my self-worth, a precious gift. When I'm gone...he'll visit my older writes and leave a note. :) I've gained so much by reading his book- Dummy: Hurtful and Healing words which is so full of precious insights on the power of words to heal or destroy. Well I know this power. Well have I suffered because of it.

People come and go...It's good to know some are there for the long haul. Some are there simply because they care...nothing more...nothing less. Thanks, Richard.

No Not Me - penned by Maurice Yvonne and Seren

No Not Me

Did you think when I left
I'd never answer my phone,
ignore your messages,
never speak to you again?

Did you think I was that guy?
I thought you knew me
but it wasn't about me was it?
How often have others disappeared?
You were judging me as if I was them.
I guess I can't blame you,
life is not always kind.
But not me, no not me.
I'm not him,
It's my actions represent me,
define the man I am.

Words lie and eyes aren't always
an insight to every man.
You can't always trust their smile.
I bet the devil is an attractive male
with an inert charm and not a horn in sight.
You can't beat the sky in your own skin.
If your a demon you groom flawlessly,
dress like a king, with a look that's soft.
The wolf doesn't tell the sheep "I'm here!"
It's the guy with nothing to hide who is often
misconstrued. Honesty has it's price.

I don't blow dry my hair in the mirror.
practice my reactions.
I don't kiss up,
my nose is clean.
I don't always talk in a quiet melodic voice
or hide my tears. When I say it's alright
It just is.

I didn't walk away, I had to leave
but you can find me.
For you I am always here!
Did you think when I left I would disappear?
Never!
I hold you dear.
I'm always here.

No not you

You would never just walk away
Away from people or things you love
You don't always say what you feel in spoken
words,
yet you shout out your feelings in written words,
no lies are here, you write from the heart.

Your love holds no bounds, you love for life,
You say that your eyes are not an insight to your soul,
Yet when the light goes out, I know your dying inside
To walk away, no not you, to hide for a time,
Maybe,
.

Justice in the Quest For Love

I saw how martyrs longed for love, and so began the play of my flitting heart
A strange girl had I become, with airs of fickle dream,
My heart an embodiment of wonder to all that dared to behold it
Closing my eyes, I would find myself knowing something new would shine my way
Had I known what was coming, the dawn would seem far less appealing...

As all journeys begin, a darkness began to veer its head
The plot of reality melted in dissonant chords...
Dark blue fogs of doubt caked my mind and heart
Though the longing for love never left...
And had it left, no dawn would await me

I saw there were rules setting a foundation for my intensely embarked mark
I knew if I were to feel any twinge of fire,
I must first be rid of the fog...or at the very least find my way through it
How it stung as it hit my virgin skin, not like gentle clouds talking me through it,
Caressing, surrounding and seducing. . .
No, like a poison, the bleak thickness of the doubt choking me
Reducing me to child's tears...I toiled through its torments,
I rested upon rough rocks of rhetorics
Admiring their vitality and honesty...
At one point in time I had convinced myself that I was one of them
A rock- cold, rough... hardened and overlooked...destined to crumble
Though more demands surfaced on this quest for love's Justice

Weakened by the blue fogs blackening,
I cried out in the pit of my heart, surrendering before me
Words...kept so long inside...
I freed them from the strongholds of my darkest nights
And soon there was a deep, hypnotizing reply...

Justice, tall and proud, said from above the sinking pit,
"True, I have seen you before,
A token of adoration you have become,
Crying night after night in melodious black,
With little to take, and everything to give...
My demands are simple, as your longing is profound,
You, yes, you! Take my hand so I may hold you tightly..."

My mouth agape, I stretched out my hand to meet the vines of his fingers
Clutching in sparks, he breathed into me life... and promise of love

"Surrender your heart to the hope of love
When you find you are not alone, as none of you are,
When you praise with your singsong words that passion has altered,
Giving all to a soul you have yet to see,
You shall feel my hand lift you as I do now...
Soon once more, you shall learn- the dawn will always be dawn
And the night will always be your velvet pathway to Beyond."

This, Justice proclaimed in the voice of a thousand cries of birth
The overtones spilling out in rainbows of rapture

It was soon after his visit, I knew I must perform...
Surrender, faith, and action Three keys to the same door...
And they, golden and alight, were in my hands to use

The time came when my heart grew roses, thorns and all
And hearts smashed their way through, though I cherished the burn...
Fogs still lingered in the alleyway of fear
And now I knew not to inch my way near

For the punishment he had whispered like darts in my ear,
"If you, now seeing the truth, dismember your heart,
I will crush your petals into black abyss,
I will reduce you to dust, leaving the thorns,
I am animal in the face of failure,
My tolerance for hate is shorter than an ant beholding a mountain
And if you so much as reject my call,
Hate is exactly what I will allow,
And it will destroy you, oh singing heart..."

This I ask of Justice, on the day of my calling, and yet still today... -
"Tell me, oh spirit,
Phantom of Epiphany,
When the love I so long for locks tightly upon me,
Becoming me,
Shall it be as I dreamed,
Or shall I be wholly disappointed,
Left in the agony of reality,
Where roses grow, thorns and all...
Only to wither...and die...
?"

He was so gentle...that he merely smiled and left me...

It was right away, soon after his departure,
That I felt he never would fully leave...
He allowed me to weave my own dreams,
Finding out for myself if reality was truly as magical as they write
And as for an answer, as dull as this may sound... it is...

I, like many tearful martyrs before me,
Continue to long for a love that will fulfill me
Often reality teases me, and I know not if she is demon or angel
Though one day, I will see reality is on my side, ugly or not
The play of my flitting heart still beating its rhythmic drums
The rainbows of overtones lulling me into ecstasy,
As I see words of wisdom thriving in the hands that save

This, though little, I know-
Love is justice of reward beyond our wildest dreams
He sings to us every night, never making promises...
He just smiles and allows us to live it
He allows us to discover, and in turn give...
To enlighten others still trapped in the ruts of fog
Once we feel it, there is no turning back
Please do not let him crush those roses you have made...
Even their foundations were meant to reach the skies
Touching the brightest dawn...and Beyond..

Reflection

As the sun begins to set and it's final rays slowly dance across this golden pond I silently stare into her reflection staring back at me past the old and the weathered ripples down beneath the surface into the soul the deep and loving soul the memories bubble out memories of kindness and love honesty and humility and memories of you how I'd do anything for you for us I stand here in silence and dream

Dedication to two very Special Women Andrea and Anne Lise

DEDICATION TO TWO VERY SPECIAL WOMEN

I'm writing this poem with pure dedication
To two very special women upon this fine day,
Andrea Dietrich and Anne Lise Andresen your beauty
is like a quaint fascination of pure devotion.
If it weren't for people like you, I would have left long ago,
Andrea you showed me great strength comes internally
I know,
Anne Lise you have a graceful flair with an inner honesty so rare
You showed me and talked to me when I needed someone to
really care.
Weeks ago it seems, thought I was at a real time, time, low, low.
But in realities view, knew deep in my heart of this you do know
You're two very beautiful women who made me face up to my
inner demons.
Now I truly know, I'm still in love with my Grizzly Adams,
Andrea and Anne Lise, hope we'll always be friends
For I'm dedicating this poem to two very intelligent beautiful women.
I no longer have had no inner bad vibrations.
I'm writing this poem with pure happiness and true heartfelt dedication
To two of the very best and special women upon this glorious day,
Andrea and Anne Lise your beauty is like a flowering devotion
I'm really counting my blessings for I'm utterly thankful beyond my emotions.

Spring on the Wind

The evening is set out before me

   on the threshold of night,

   the hazy lights teeming

   and glazed, webby-cold ----

   bright with a white-haired curiosity;

What good honesty can bring,

   observing reckonings and episodes

of spring stretching into the sky,

and many a mile on they who walk by,

Of faces rosy-red with frosty wiles;

   wild eyes of winter,

   (who stop for awhile)

They are gone, these frozen months,

   the long cold sleep....

   the chilled sheets,

heat with rebirth, melted snow neath

   grins with spring;

   glazed pines, tinkling water drains....

the sun soothes nearer its smile

The forests are roaring with song on the wind,

   of spring,

And all things warm with renewal,

   spring,

stretching into the sheet of the sky....

Someone for ME

Will there be someone for me
Who loves me with insanity?
Who wants me, entirely?
Who touches with intensity?

Will there be someone for me?

Will there be someone to kiss?
Who when gone, my kiss will miss?
Someone full of honesty…
Whose love is no travesty...

Will there be someone for me?

I want a love that’s wild and mad
The kind of love devoid of sad
The kind of love that’s, oh, so sweet
That “makes love” like a tasty treat
That eats up every part of me
And brings to life each fantasy…

Oh tell me, tell me what you see!
Will there be someone for me?

Mountain

                                             MOUNTAIN

                                                   I
                                                 used
                                            to be stable,
                                       dependable, granite;
                                    a mountain holds an echo
like a lover’s kiss. Once holy parts
of me are crumbling away, eroded by betrayal
~ that shifting precipice, integrity ~ that landslide, my honesty.
? How long does it take for a mountain to become a boulder? ?
Geologists know the answer but you don’t care, you have a pickaxe ?
and the desire for security. If a woman asks you to give up your mountain-ness,
no matter what she needs the rocks for, in exchange for her love, refuse indignantly;
it is not a fair trade.

Pray For Protection

Pray For Protection “2 The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my savior; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety.“ Psa 18:2 NLT Pray For Protection For yourself and your loved ones. You need daily protection From the evil that comes. Satan comes to pull you down, Demotivate and destroy. You need protection in this battle; God’s army to deploy. Pray For Protection; For your safety and your health; You require protection for your home; Your finances and your wealth. Pray For Protection From the devil’s many schemes. He’s created a million or more, Or so it actually seems. Pray For Protection For your loved ones’ welfare. Pray for their health; Their safety and daily care. Ask the Lord to show you, For what you need to pray; To preserve those you love, Each and every day. Pray For Protection For your nation and its leaders. Pray for their guidance and honesty, And freedom from slander. Pray for your church And the folk in your congregation. You can really make a difference, When you Pray For Protection! © Copyright 2012 Maureen LeFanue www.maureenlefanue.com

Art-Frida Kahlo

On The Suicide Of Dorothy Hale

Known for her self portraits and her politics
Her famous unibrow and her elaborate dress
And for twice marrying Mexico's most renown muralist
Her paintings which bore her pain were well received
And to this day are still growing in success
However my intrigue lies in her greatest fail
Not still life nor self portrait rather
Her commissioned portrait of late actress Dorothy Hale
Asked for by Hale's friend publisher of Vanity Fair
Intended as a gift for the grieving mother
No doubt a caring gesture to ease untold despair
But Frida Kahlo in her visceral style
Produced The Suicide Of Dorothy Hale
A piece which did more to trumpet her own guile
More accurate and macabre a portrayal than anyone would expect
The actress in her leap from her high-rise suite
A ghostly image draped in white falling to her death
And at the bottom her lifeless body replete with bloody mess
Corsage of yellow roses pinned to her favourite black dress
For me this painting speaks more of Frida Kahlo's honesty
Than any self depiction
Her character, personality, and her absolute conviction.

17.05.06

At the bottom of the painting in blood red lettering reads
"In New York City on the 21st of October 1938, at 6:00 in the morning,
Dorothy Hale committed suicide by throwing herself from a very high window
in the Hampshire House. In her memory [...] this retablo was executed
By Frida Kahlo."

MY SECRET TO HAPPINESS

The honeymoon is not over embracing love
by capturing the core of every fiber,
weaving tender hearts tighter and tighter.
We are touched with sweet melting honey
that echoes of our love through golden rings
in strife and funny rainy or sunny days.

I can't help those fluttery butterflies’ feelings
falling in love with you over and over again.

The honeymoon is not over embracing love
stealing each other's heart as we forged
honesty, hope, faith, courage, and forgiveness.
Tender dreamy, gentle kisses that flow
and bend of our boughs, as seasons come and go
with shadows of never ending days.
Two souls dance suspended in the night.

I can't help those fluttery butterflies’ feelings
falling in love with you over and over again.

The honeymoon is not over embracing love
as memories, moments to remember
time when life had been pleasant and strong
a time when loving bloomed our course to our future.
Woven on a web of everlasting dreams
in our golden days we give to each other our hearts.

I can't help those fluttery butterflies’ feelings
falling in love with you over and over again.

Distant Love

     Oh, love from a distance
     Such passion is mine
     I never thought possible
     An ocean's deep mystery line

     Soulmate's hearts beat as one
     From only the written word
Openness, honesty, is all it takes
     World history, such passion unheard

Her beauty astounding, angel in disguise
Jealous Kings of Europe would have fought war
Her kindness and humor melt coldest hearts
Brilliant and creative too, she makes my heart soar

My distant soulmate, who I may never meet
Shared love from a distance, a powerful, magical feat
