Gossamer Wings

On gossamer wings
she floats through thoughts
of timeless dreams and
pages unturned.
Words written but left unread
for years as centuries
turn to new.
Her course was set
before her time,
now deep within
she feels her fragile heart
even as it breaks again.
New words to write of courage
or loss, or words perhaps of
gossamer wings that carry her
home.

Gossamer Labyrinths' Agone Opulence

Once agone moments in time
        she was poetry in motion,
   'til she pirouetted herself
         onto dusty versed shelves
     midst old clouded rhymes
          & recollected love notes
yet, there lingered echoes
  glistening 'tween strands
   of web's interlacing design,
meshing her finessed
     past within gossamer's
      complexed entanglements
        beyond labyrinths of
             anciently grand symphonies
she dances, still ~
  silently in her head
flirting with destiny
              albeit, not quite as opulently

Gossamer wings are dancing on spicy wind,
In maddening swirls of color and sunshine!
Red mists scattered, gone around the bend,
And mauve wisteria cascades from its vine.

Hummingbird premieres in dance hall days,
Along with butterflies stunningly varicolored.
Colors travel with winds in the sunny blaze,
Over the tall emerald grasses, lately stirred.

Gossamer Way

Broken hearts are open wide
Easier to slip inside
Poke the embers
Blow remembers
Clasping gently
Whisper magic
Ease the pain
Feel the warmth
Of fire again
Reflected thoughts
Directed dancing
Purple gossam
Flicker reign
In the wonder
World of oneness
Washed by loving
Tears of rain

(worknotes)
gossam live and laugh in Faerie
Sharing tales of mortal maids
pickscab knees and inkwell braids
time is gently slower there

Gossamer Bead

Enchants woods in valley of mist,
Glides from heaven's womb to exist,

                                         Life pours from sky.

Shimmers in eyes my dreams and tears,
Hums at nights fading my dark fears,

                                           Drop of goodbye.

                    Celestial bead in tiny palms,
Glimpses of divine loop of realms,

                                             Reborn to fly.

Premium Member Gossamer Threads

Your soul survives the kiss of death
continuing when life’s passed on.
And charisma and persona
morph into photos when you’re gone.

And though time writes your epithet
fate decides if it’ll be read.
For your legacy, good or bad
can carry-on after you’re dead.

Whether you will be remembered
rest on how your life was perceived.
For if you were loved and you loved
life’s highest hurdles were achieved.

Selflessness and dedication
spin gossamer threads into rope.
And after your bones turn to dust
your soul can still inspire hope.

Love can make all the difference
though history knows not your name.
For although you’re anonymous
your footprint matters, all the same.

On gossamer wings I send my love
Straight to your fragile heart
Like delicate ribbons of fine spun gold
This devotion I do impart

To bind us closer with ties so strong
So honest so special so pure
A love the world has yet to imagine
A passion with no known cure

Feelings rich with such deep intensity
Enveloping your very soul
A heavenly passion ne'er felt before
Completes and makes it whole

On gossamer wings I send my love
With deep and heart felt emotion
Embracing every facets of your being
With total and utter devotion

Gossamer Shroud

Gossamer Shroud

  Finery most precious.
Whimsical silk and all it's tales.
More than deep mythology.
So that woman may go naked,
while clothed.
Wearing nought,
but bright colored clouds.
Almost religious,
sericulture of it's knowledge.
Volunteering, I live to do so,
'Standing' guard over this secret.
Even today, being windy it is so.
And it is,
ever so much cooler because of it.

Is It Poetry

On Gossamer Wings

From the flat
Of my back
I watched
Love
Fly away on gossamer wings
Just as it was given, so quickly it was taken away
Breathless,
Curled in the fetal position
I was helpless

From the flat of my back
I watched
Love fly away
On gossamer wings
I watched
Life bring
Me Curious things

From the flat of my back
I watched
Love
Fly away
Then
The
Winds of change came
And the summer night air
Dried the windswept tears
And
The
Tranquility of
The glowing
Stars
Soothed the empty hole in my heart
That was aching

On
gossamer wings
My strength has come back
Gossamer wings
Don’t always bring painful things.
From the flat of my back
I watched love fly away
Gone for now, but not for always
On gossamer wings
But it will come back
And
The bird will sing

A Night On Gossamer Wings

You've drawn the feelings from within
And charged my mortal soul
The energy of your sweet love
Has filled me to the whole

I'm basking in the afterglow
I hear the angels sing
I feel as though I'm flying through
The night on gossamer wings

Tenderness cannot describe
The way you've made me feel
I now believe that your sweet love
Is my achilles heel

I cling to what we had tonight
I'll never let it go
I hope that it was just a seed
That time will beg to grow

I hold you close and feel the warmth
Of your precious love
My only thought is this must be
A gift from God above

Sashaying Gossamer Wings

Bright-coloured butterflies flutter in the morning sky,
Their filmy fragile wings throbbing in dawn's tranquility,
Like little heartbeats dancing in tandem with the tawny sun...
They flit from flower to flower, sipping sweet ambrosia,
Like waltzing wraithlike wisps of aurora's wonderland...
Exquisite winged creatures of delicate beauty,
They frolic freely, sashaying with gossamer gentleness...
Elegantly ornate, they are beautiful to watch,
With the orange orb completing the serene picture...
Such ethereal enchantresses remind us to praise their Creator.

Secure On My Gossamer Wings

Bring me your whimsy and dreams
For your future I have seen

You walk along paths with dread
And leave all your wishes unsaid

But I’ve found them here in your heart
Guarded, protected yet dark

Don’t dwell among lack and regret
So much beauty I’ve found in you yet

I’ll whisper your sadness away
You’ll remember once again how to play

Then my love, your hopes and your dreams
Will take flight on my gossamer wings

my words are gossamer, diaphanous
                 and wispy
         my lines cobwebs of chiffon
I pen in blood ink
     sublime are my thoughts
rapturous I write into the night
     turning words into poetry
from deep within I pull emotions
bleeding, bleeding from my pen . . .
is my brokenness and eternal
                      grief . . .
slowly, I remove the red soaked dagger
    from my heart
and the pain is dripping, dripping
and the pieces of my heart lay
beneath my pen . . . like shards of glass
but, I use every shattered fragment
all those pieces that are me
                    and in time
I have used each piece each one
for I have found a strength
         unfathomable . . . in writing

Light Wings and Gossamer Black

"Light Wings and Gossamer Black"

tears of all the lost years
ghosts' pearls falling softly gossamer black

caressing your sad heart’s crimson
its bleeding broken beautiful cracks

a small heaven winks back
some of your light wings

the other side reflects

some of your light wings
a small heaven winks back

light wings sent for unholy hosts

Inside me there is always you
wormwood wisdom

the killing of time gliding
praying for aphids on the tar plain view

some of your light wings
Blue Silver, Silver Blue

Light Wings
for pearls falling

into your shining pools
spinning softly gossamer black

walking forever towards you
through silver blue

"...Terror made me cruel" Wuthering Heights, Bronte

“The people you love become ghosts inside of you, and like this you keep them alive.”

"The ghosts of things that never happened are worse than the ghosts of things that did.”

"Ourself, behind ourself concealed,
Should startle most;
Assassin, hid in our apartment,
Be horror's least."
Emily Dickenson

Gossamer adj.
Gossamer is something super fine and delicate – like a spider web or the material of a wedding veil.
The original gossamer, from which these meanings come from, is the fine, filmy substance spiders excret to weave their webs. A dress can be gossamer-like, if its fabric is so sheer as to be see-through, or almost.

Blue Silver
"This is why Simon wrote the line "Sing Blue Silver" in lyrics for the song, "The Chauffer": as a child he read a book about time travel, and in it said that allegedly, people who are coming back from a trip in time see blue silver. It adds to the song's supernatural element."
