O glorious Autumn of melancholic
Gold -
All abouts the brightly lit
Woodlands
Your wonderful artistry behold!
Tinted bronzes,
Darting between awkward firs
Of sobering Evergreen,
Loiter inside mauve havens
Splashed with palest yellows -
And dappled with many differing
Limes
Throughout this variegated Theme;
A myriad of rustling contentment,
Sweetest contrasting charms,
Complimentary...
Softly whispering leafy hues...
Hushed...most elegantly serene.

Bursting into the swelling copses
And invading between the
Dwindling fields:
Auburn, primrose and lilac views -
Abundant with seasons
Celebrations
That so magnificently infuse!
Glowering in simmering sunset,
And spluttering in misty dawn:
Afire with all the orbs oozing
Revelry,
That upon barkened furniture,
To thus gild - and resplendently
Adorn!

Now is the time
That dry tinkling leaves
Give musical resonance
To a breath exhaled from
A breeze...
Fanning the boughs roaring flames
That each out-stretched branch
does eagerly seize,
Fired from the eternal torch
That immortal Ceridwen tirelessly
Sought;
Whilst I hang upon evocative
Memories
That this arresting moment briefly
Caught.

Blazing with a consummate passion
Ignited from a poets grappling
Thoughts:
The Muses to this joyous splendour
Were summarily summoned
And brought;
But as elusive as the enchanting
Notes
From the intoxicating pipes of
Evasive Pan...
So as elusive the words of the
Unwritten verse
That so evade this singular man.

So burn! You gaily painted colours,
Within abandoned restrain,
Your dizzying carousel
A whirling kaleidoscope
Upon an artists ever changing frame.
Soft ochres and dappled browns
Mixed with vivid orange and crimson
Red...
Applied lavishly from the palette
Of Artemis
Over which the vibrant pastes
Are thinly spread.

A riot of pastel shades
All exploding forth -
With the raging power of a
Supernova
Of an immense, dazzling force!
All hail to the almighty:
From the devout to the Divine...
And all hail to the Grandeur
And Majesty -
Of his awe-inspiring design!

*
Spring
Has come
Earth's reborn,
Lambs play in fields
Bright daffodils bloom
Blossom adorns the trees,
Winters darkness behind us
As the equinox brings long days,
So venture out to the great outdoors
And see for yourself the beauty of spring.

Premium Member Another Glorious Autumn Is On the Way

When I look up at the pristine Colorado sky,
And see flocks of Canadian geese on the fly,
And watch squirrels hide their winter's fare in a secret cache,
Then I know that once again a glorious autumn is on the way!

When the harvest moon graces the sky with its lustrous glow,
And at dawn I see Pikes Peak gleamin' with a dustin' of snow,
And view the golden leaves of aspen trees upon the distant brae,
Then I know that once again a glorious autumn is on the way!

When the old ash tree on my lawn assumes its robe of amber,
Anon, strewin' the lawn with fallin' leaves t'wards late September,
And see golden punkins with a tad of frost at dawnin' of the day,
Then I know that once again a glorious autumn is on the way!

When the nights are cool and I need an extra blanket on the bed,
And note that the robins and all their friends to the south have fled,
And when I see anxious farmers harvestin' taters, corn and hay,
Then I know that once again a glorious autumn is on the way!

When apples are ripe for pickin' (after the worms have had their share),
And I've stored the lawn mower and at last can enjoy my rockin' chair,
And I sense that Old Sol is risin' later and settin' earlier every day,
Then I know that once again a glorious autumn is on the way!

Another Glorious Attack

i write slam better than anyone around
i leave you screaming without the sound
no-one can handle my lyrical style
i outstrip you all by a country mile
spitting these words without restraint
with your blood the walls i'll paint
your head falls off when you read my words
more taboo than the bees and the birds

if only this site would let me swear
you'd be picking chunks of vomit right out your hair
because i'm sicker than a dirty joke
make no mistake i'm not an ordinary bloke
got a mind that can think in several dimensions
i knock you down if you have pretentions

don't even try and take me on you can't win
i'll send your poems to the bargain bin
my intellect and wit outshines all
i can build you up and i can make you fall
black and blue from verbal attacks
look theres a rock quick get back....
under it
if not i'll sunder it
i'll kick you to the curb
with a noun and a heavy adverb

i could go on and on and on
but i really feel like i am done
i embarass all who assail me
if you dont like it. tough. you cant jail me
my sparkling put downs will never fail me
so if you feel brave try and comeback at me
i'll make you get down on both knees
a slap in your face
you are a complete disgrace

A Glorious Field - Visual 2

Yields of green fields basked in HIS glory are being challenged

Twilight reveals long dreary paths, destination ambiguous

Only the righteous reap great bounty at the terminus.

Premium Member The Strawberry Moon

The Strawberry Moon

This moon rises up ever slowly among the clouds,
As it begins its ritual journey of peeking slyly out,
Appearing for all to see in that far-distant horizon.

This wondrous eidetic image is a Strawberry Moon
That’s so softly-red with a magical touch of orange,
And so very rare to see—yet so special to gaze upon.

As this enchanted moon continues its skyward ascent,
It begins to kiss the Earth goodbye whilst following its
Heavenly path in the sky to be amongst the radiant stars.

This glorious moon now follows its celestial path into
The Dark Beyond as its strawberry tint passes away,
And its ancient, brilliant-bright-luminescence returns.

Oh, Strawberry Moon—our pride of the month of June,
Shall you tell us more when you come back to us, of what
We shall see in The Dark Beyond, in the Sky of Nowhere?

And perhaps we can expect in your next journey to us,
Another special kiss by you—a welcome kiss telling us
That a reunion awaits us all on the eternal path of light!

Premium Member Glorious Autumn

Autumn’s story is full of rustic shades
that echo deep from every vale and hill
of splendor and of forest colonnades,
as one by one leaves float and spin and spill
in frosted shadows and in evening’s chill

Dogwoods change,in carmine escapades,
to celebrate old summer’s standing still
Scarlet leaves and shades of marmalades
Shiraz, Claret and Burgundy distill
bright tones of nature for the soul to swill.

Amber, apricot and goldenrod brigades
capturing our gaze and hearts to thrill
Piles of forest treasures spillIng in cascades
with dappled browns and caramel’s goodwill,
All opulence of Autumn to fulfill

May America gather and agree
To be love-full and malice-free.
To unite as one, live one decree
From sea to shining sea:

To let brotherhood and unity
Propel new opportunity.
Arise, in new community
And crush our land’s disunity.

America come, give thanks
For the soldiers on foot; in tanks
Whose loyalty never broke ranks
From interior to outer banks.

Come young and old, altogether!
We share many a bond and tether.
As one nation, we’re strongest together
We’re one plumage but many a feather.

Moments

Be it a moment you witnessed a tiny creature
popping off a cocoon matured
Or that moment you drenched in rays moon
and cooked up the mystical tunes

Be it the moment that you sailed
For the very first time
Or the moment you received a mail
from your company dream

Be it the moment you embraced your first trophy
Or the moment you boarded your first flight
The moment you trapped inside a lift at midnight
Or the moment you encountered a good spirit

Glorious moments were these
Converted into precious memories
Which can never be forgotten

As they will be breathing with us forever
According like the generous river
To make our life worth living ever

Premium Member Morning In Glorious Emergence

I manage my planned early rise in hopes dawn will kindly provide me
time before others converge in the joy bounce of family noise.
With silent glee for this vacation cabin, well worth our money splurge,
I tiptoe out to the porch.

Fresh, early morning beauty twinkle-dance performs upon the lake’s
sleepy surface and the sight sigh-settles bliss among my accrued
anxiety bits. Nature’s most enchanting chords sound-lift my awe
with full force as truth re-surges within my soul.

Morning in glorious emergence nurses me with a wordless,
restoring sermon felt purge. I watch life at the nearby pond
where birds group-peek for worms while three unconcerned swans
mellow glide behind the fronds.

Glad am I for nature’s catharsis to all in me the city daily twists.
I am so porch and nature settled, I nearly miss the eager kettle hiss
warning that family is in my midst and hungry for their morning grits.

How crisp is the chill of Autumn's wind
that brings a blush of rouge to my cheeks.
It blows through branches dressed in leaves
of chromatic colors, crimson, orange and gold.
Hues that appear in the fall, vibrant and bold.

Beneath a forest of maples is a woodland carpet
and all that remains are empty nests from spring.
But nearby I hear the drumming of a woodpecker.
Clouds are swiftly drifting by as if in a hurry,
and squirrels are gathering acorns. How they scurry!

Faintly, I smell the sweet scent of oak boughs burning.
Smoke from a chimney wreathes its way to the sky.
I'm only able to catch a glimpse of the log cabin,
but I envy who lives there, enjoying nature's charm.
There are pumpkins to be harvested on their farm.

I smile at a pair of swans as they glide on the pond,
swimming together without a care in the world.
Mated for life... how I admire such avian fidelity.
Nature has lovely scenery in each season of the year,
but none as glorious as Autumn's colorful sphere.
