Best Forget Me Not Poems

Forget Me Not and the Silver Prince

Forget Me Not and the Silver Prince
They loved to run and play
In the cold of winter time
This chilly snowy day

With mittens in a shade of red
And boots to match the same
They followed footprints in the snow
This was their favorite game

Running to the forest edge
They looked so deep inside
When footprints that they found instead
Had seemed to run and hide

For hours they still played this game
No heed they paid the cold
Forget Me Not began to cry
The Silver Prince so bold

Said, “Why now cry my little friend
In tears that come to freeze
A’ shimmering your bright red cheeks
As we gaze on the trees”

Forget Me Not then answered him
While shivering where she stood
“The trees,” she said. “They are all dead
No leaves do hold their wood”

The Silver Prince began to laugh
As snowflakes sat his eyes
To chuckle at the words she said
As snow fell from the skies

“My tiny friend, oh precious one
These trees are but asleep
If you would listen closely now
Their snores shall quell your weep”

Forget Me Not then listened
For in the forest roared
A gust of wind so chilling cold
Alas the trees had snored

“For it is every winter”
The Silver Prince did speak
“The trees they fall to slumbering
As through the cold they sleep”

She smiled like the sunrise
Beneath her golden hair
For this one fact that he had told
She sure was not aware

Returning to the castle
He took her by the hand
And whispered something in her ear
That she did understand

He told her that he loved her
And if she followed true
He’d teach her all she needs to know
Of everything he knew

From that day forth they wandered
She learned from all he said
But one thing true he whispered
Kept flowing through her head

Her heart was filled with laughter
Her eyes they shone so bright
Each day that they would run and play
Within the warm sunlight

When spring it now descended
New leaves upon the trees
Fresh flowers in the garden grew
A soft inviting breeze

For at this time she noticed
His words were not a lark
For every tree turned green again
Within their favorite park

And on this day she whispered
To him these words so true
The Silver Prince he smiled
She said, I love you too

If you suddenly forget me
Wherever you are
Close your eyes listen to your heart
Like the wind, you can hear my voice

If you suddenly forget me
Nothing hurts more, but I do not want to cry
Time passes and you feel me in a dream
Always remember the smell of my perfume and my soft lips

If you suddenly forget me
I will never regret loving you
When night comes, and you feel so alone
In peaceful harmony a soft heart sings with angel wings

Forget me not when day is done
as darkness falls with setting sun
and April moon is on the rise
reflecting midnight’s soft reprise.
And when you crawl into your bed
and ‘pon your pillow lay your head,
please think of me as sleep arrives
for in my dreams a longing thrives.

My distant whispers call your name;
my love for you my words proclaim
as stardust rains from up above,
and beckons you to share this love.
I wonder if you think of me
as peaceful slumber sets you free
when darkness falls with setting sun,
forget me not when day is done.

Blue petals of a forget-me-not
juxtaposed against a white headstone
weighing heavily upon my heart;
I play my violin all alone.

Looking out of place against marble,
a blue as vivid as crimson blood
rebuffs the paling pallor of death;
conveyed in the promise of its bud.

The icy hand of fear grips my heart
shrouded in a cerulean hue;
callused fingers caressing the strings,
that lament the love I felt for you.

Grief resonates within every note,
sending sad tears trickling down my cheeks;
evoking intimate memories,
granting my soul the comfort it seeks.

Forget Me Not

Through-out the night music in motion was my poetry,

so many beauties captured like still photos in the movement of skin,

like peace billowing in the wind,

the white flag finally thrown up,

and one world seperated from all the rest,

Dampered only by the fact that one-sided regret,

is wallowing in the waters of the ocean, in which we now drowned,

though the fires of our passion burned through the vigil night,

now rooted in the core of my earth,

Beauty touched my lips. . .my eyes. . .my soul,

finding freedom from haunting ghosts of the past,

in a blanket of comfort, his taste living on my lips,

toe curling stillness,

liquid nitrogen burning through our bodies,

He breathed art into my skin, through eyes of beauty,

disturbed not by the thought of the outside world,

If only time had frozen in our wake,

and this love we made had never come to an end. . .

For who can love you like i can?

who can breath the life of art into your lips?

The silence settles as the waves crash onto the gray, rocky, morning shore,

i drop the flower i hold into the depths of the darkness,

watching it float down from the cliff,

and whisper its name, hoping the wind will carry my tender voice to you,

 -Forget me not. . . .

Riss Rumphius lived by the sea
the Lupine Lady, free as can be
tossing seeds for many hours
pleasing kids-- with her flowers

I think she lived a fulfilling life
even without ever being a wife
look how the children love her
like a flower-fairy god-mother

I do not have to wait till later
to grow lupines above the equator
I grow forget-me-nots already --
they're multiplying -- & spreading!

New project: pressed & dried
flowers between the pages hide
till they create some dainty gift
when the pressing works (well, IF)

Your Forget-Me-Not Smile

building a nest now
with your forget-me-not smile
dream bird of my mind
flying too close to you now
to capture those rainbow smiles

Forget-Me-Not Words

When our loved ones depart, they fly away like birds
but we remember them by writing forget-me-not words.
Once, we stood on the banks of the same flowing river,
but life courses changed, now we stand alone and shiver.

How difficult it is knowing we will never see them again.
A cause for tears to fall in our hearts like cold winter rain.
With poetic forget-me-not words we continue to express
the sorrowfully surreal emotions that we cannot suppress.

Although our tomorrows may bring sunshine into our lives,
mention of your name is a flame that lingers and survives.
You'd be glad to know our town is now called Milton Creek
and stories of you are treasured in every word we speak.

Forget-Me-Not

Our innermost thoughts,
So precious
We capture them
Inside books,
Writings from our ancestors,
Keepsakes as treasures,
Sentiments of heart,
Expressions,
Planting seeds,
Creativeness growing,
Flowering inspirations,
Poems bloom with nature,
Composing a legacy of love,
Remembrance forever,
Passing on an heritage,
Something of ourselves,
In sadness and joy,
We leave,
Our words say goodbye,
Forget-me-not.
With each petal we pray.

Forget Me Not

Forget me not,
forget not me.
Forget day hot,
keep night with thee.

I will touch you
in thought, in dream.
My love soft dew,
Summer's ice-cream.

Forget me not,
I won't too you.
You my sweet thought
calm, green, soft, new.

Forget-Me-Not

Good many people are remembered
For many good things they have done
Good many people are forgotten
For one wrong thing they have done
When I default, forget me not

When I erred in my speech
Forget not the right words I have spoken
When I angered you
Forget not my humuor and jokes
When I hurt you
Forget not the love I showed you

Remember when we were friends
Now that we are rivals
Remember my fame
Now that I am useless
Remember my kindness to you
Now that you are wicked to me
Remember the good times
Now that we are in bad times

I am present
Forget me not in my absence
I am young
Forget me not in my senescence
Keep me in your mind
Keep me in your heart
I will forget you not
Forget me not.
