P-hysical fitness is important,
E-ssential to male and female;
R-equirement for better health,
L-etting not the body
A-il.
C-omplete physical fitness
A-ims to make human happy;
B-ecause of the good effect,
R-esult, fruit, and corollary.
E-arly nineteenth of January,
R-ight exercise carries wellness;
A-lmighty God has ordered to have a physical fitness.
Jumping the jam,
I am peter pan,
doing a man,
don't know his name at this dam.
Down-stream is a clam,
up is a nap-
I creak when I walk,
never stop for talk,
just smoke a lot,
and hope for a magical robot,
to intercept the hotness right outta the golf.
Reading a lot,
speeding at the shop,
rotating at the main evacuation,
suffocating during masterb#***$!
Stoning without stoners to bank it,
waiting for sin to just spank it!
I read the riddles,
and rape the shingles-
right off red roofs,
of old men sitting in bagels.
I retort the regime,
I run from the scene,
I do all the same drugs,
I hate all the same thugs.
O help me! I've fallen
And I can't get it up!
I'm stuck here acrawlin'
Up a Double-D cup
Now don't let us dicker
I am over the hill
Just be a mite quicker
Slipping me that blue pill!
Using gadgets for all your work
From physical activity you shirk
Using vehicles to move around
Walking you are never found
About fitness you don't care
No time for exercise you spare
Just observe your physique
Physically stiff, you feel weak
Some exercise, yoga every day
Why not go out, walk and play
How about cycling and skipping
Let today be a new beginning
Don't think I am too old for it
It requires steadfastness, grit
In few days you'll feel less pain
Flexibility and fitness you'll gain
Walk in nature gives much joy
Shut down mobile, just enjoy
Eat timely healthy, low fat food
To your health it'll do much good
Think positive, be happy ever
Your health will surely prosper
Your fitness is in your hand
You are responsible, understand
Make health your priority in life
It will keep away lot of strife
Of no use is all your wealth
If you don't have good health
Change the way you live, start today
Live happy, healthy life every day
A funny thing happened on the way to the fitness center
six months after my New Year's resolution to get thinner
It seemed a good idea then to start a program of exercise
Now I'm thinking this is thinking I need to psychoanalyze
The Take-It-Off notice says my time will soon expire
I assume they are aware I don't plan to perspire
Nevertheless I put together my best workout outfit
I'm on my way but I have to say I'm just not feeling it
My, oh my, there's a Starbuck's a few blocks away
A shot of caffeine should help start this exhausting day
I'll just go in... Could that be? Yes, it is! My good friend
I haven't seen her since I don't even remember when
Yes, thank you! I will join you... with a donut and a latte
Oh no, you're not keeping me... I can workout any ol' day
An hour later I'm driving home sipping on an ice mocha
I start thinking that tomorrow I really should try yoga

A Funny Thing Happened on the Way Contest by Robert Haigh
Sixth Place
I want fitness and what do I get
A field of blue-bonnets, I just bet
I don’t smell like that
It’s just an attack
Of the nose senses as I sure sweat

In a world of challenges, we rise with might,
Embracing health and fitness, our guiding light.
With every step we take, we conquer fear,
Through sweat and strength, our purpose clear.
Let's fuel our body with nourishing grace,
choosing wholesome foods to keep up the pace.
In every workout, we find our stride,
Breaking barriers, we can't be denied.
Pushing limits, we discover our true worth,
In the pursuit of wellness, a journey of rebirth.
Embracing balance, we find inner peace,
A stronger spirit, a sense of release.
With each sunrise, a chance to renew,
To strengthen our minds and bodies it's true.
Together we stand, a supportive crew,
In health and fitness, we"ll forever pursue.
It’s a contest in Fitness talent that one has
But it is a competition to see if the competitor has pizzazz
It’s a matter in showing your body shape off
Being determined and destined of course
As part of the fitness competition, one must dance
It’s a matter in putting the audience into a trance
But it’s the scoring in how you advance
The razzle and dazzle being in the spotlight
It’s about showmanship in becoming a champion
Perfection being great
How your diet and exercise come together in relate
But one must pay critical attention and watch carefully what you eat
This is competition of shape in how you will compete
Having the right routine being the regime
Nutrition being nice and clean
Not cheating, but having a theme
Exercise and tone all combined
But in the winning circle, you can’t drink any wine
It’s about becoming Mr. and Ms. Everything Fitness
The audience is there to take it all in and witness
One must have the right positive approach
There can be humor and jokes
But it’s a combination of exercise, shape, commitment, dedication and smile
This is the competition during while
One who is caught in the Fitness Sting
However, it is fitness being entertainment having the right swing.
deserve to be fit
keeping expectation out
fitness brings success
Enough of being lazy all these years,
Get up and just do it!
It’s time to move your soul,
Get up and just do it!
Take your clothes off,
And look yourself in the mirror,
Hate yourself for those fatty layers,
Get up and just do it!
It’s time to change your habits,
Instead of turning to your alarm clock,
It’s time to clear that mental block,
Get up and just do it!
Stop throwing around reasons,
Stop considering circle a shape,
Stop pampering yourself mate,
Get up and just do it!
Enough of those bull,
Life is beautiful and short,
It’s good to strike the iron when hot,
So, get up and just do it!
Nothing proud about being fat,
It’s ugly absolutely unhealthy,
Pump up some iron; its worthy,
Get up and ing just do it!
Doctor said I must lose weight
Sugar banned a thought I hate
No butter or cheese except low fat
My body will morph fancy that.
Off to gym in new sports gear
Going to sweat daily for a year
You think this is fun? your quite wrong
'Till I Collapse' my favourite song.
Each night exhausted I take a jog
Dear heaven above it's such a slog
Bedtime drink warm skimmed milk
No easy task to look like sylph.
Months rolled by still hitting gym
New way of life am now so thin
Resisting temptation I'm in to win
Aerobic trainer whose name is Slim.

Perspire for me
I need to feel sweat
Work yourself for me
Until your out of breath
Rise up and then go back down
Work your body
Until you feel yourself shaking
And feel your muscles trembling
Until you're weak at the knees
Do this over and again for me
There is no rush
There's time a plenty
I want you running on empty
Pleading for it to stop
Because you can't take anymore
But what's a fitness instructor for.
Last year I enrolled in trendy gym
Was enthusiastic about being slim
Have to say I was intimidated
When personal trainer demonstrated.
Spandex-clad my body held in
Mirror torments this fight will win
Parked on a bicycle going nowhere fast
Five minutes later completely downcast.
Rowing machine? yes I'll have a go
This only adds to my tale of woe
Tiny dumbells that small children could lift
Somehow managed to hurt my wrist.
A class where beginners exercise
Think of McDonalds~burger and fries
This torture was expensive I'm in the red
Cannot say I'm worried will soon be dead.
All of my dreams went up in smoke
Their no refund policy dashed any hope
That was an expense could've done without
Force to face facts I'm a total copout.

My wife thinks the birds need to balance their diet,
so when she puts food out, she mixes it well,
She puts apples and orange peel, nuts and raisins
with fat balls and breadcrumbs to clean their blood cells.
But the birds don't play ball, leaving what they don't like,
no apples or oranges or raisins they take,
That doesn't deter her, leaving things like fruitcake,
hoping one day they'll take it, for their health's sake.
I say, take it further, try to spice up their life,
try salads and tuna, maybe curry and rice,
give them roast beef and yorkshire, apple pie, double cream,
or a bottle of wine with strawberry supreme.
She laughs as she says, you can joke all you like,
but those birds will be fit and well, not pale and ghostlike,
I grin at her humour, her ways so dreamlike,
and think next thing she'll do, is get them an exercise bike.
Between the iron's echo, seven moons have shaped
this flesh to tempered steel - each rep a promised vow,
a calculus of sweat where discipline escapes
the ghost of who I was. The mirror shows me now:
a shadow split in two - one clawing from the past,
one carving forward, raw, through protein, rest, and grind.
The weights don’t judge the why, just measure what will last:
this body, not a shrine, but proof of mind aligned
with mornings yet to come. I lift what time can’t hold
not abs or arms, but will, the ache beneath the bone
that asks, "What’s worth the pain?" The answer’s still unrolled:
to outlift doubt, to build a self I’ve never known.
