Best Fever Poems
Love is like a million stars
in an ocean of celestial beings
Shining brighter than all others
I am the moon whose evening pull
reaches out to you beckoning to
you in a seductive frequency no
other can hear as it was
meant for only you
Your brilliance begs me to pull you
into me, cradling you
It's with that aching aura that
leaves me astounded
The attraction is beyond any
reasoning.....
As if it's the perfect aria
that every opera craves and dreams
of being more beautiful
than any other performed
That is the love we two share....

Gold Fever
History will not record the bloated weight
Of this pious and bigoted race
Or count the fat and flaccid wealth
Of religions idolatry
Those pages have been scrubbed clean
By prosperous forgivingness
And the cruelty of established political dominion
Will not tally the bodies of the oppressed
To them, faith and belief are merely a weapon
A system of abusive control
And a means of power continuation
A dictatorial right to rule the population
History will not record the inheritance of opinion
But lay blind at the doors of massacre
The Aztec, The Aborigine, The North American Indian, The African *****,
Pray in silence to The Church
Centuries written in blood and torture
For a message of verbiage and usage
Extracted and leeched from the poor and uneducated
Created the western dream
The long night of the witch hunt is not over
The Inquisition has saved us
With fake blood and wooden crosses
This elite of moral perspective shall save us all
We have paid the price in conscience
Superiority managed by white skinned indifference
Holy mother church has welcomed all
All into its iron embrace of slack jawed wonder
And what more despicable rule can there be
Than to dictate ones own spiritual journey
Spouted by the rote of political expediency
And the promise of heaven
Ingrained now this so called Christian ethic
And so much of the truth left distorted
Forgotten now are the ancient mystical secrets
Which united mankind to understanding
Idol of gold and crucifixion
Of cathedral and stained glass objectification
Gilt and holy water of sumptuous ritual
Of silken pope and luxurious self righteous invention
An aberration of human faith and belief
An unrepentant destroyer of “ Loves ” dream
The curse of The Christ as you continue to translate
The Word
And where the paupers fist crunches the dirt
Where dried and parched lips pray for rain
Where the desperate cry for a reason echoes
Where blood flows in feted anger
Where children scream in fear
Where hunger and despair debase and demean
Where there is no light
And in the dark only pain
If you wish to care for the souls of mankind
Preacher
It is there with them
There
Is where you should be
It was to meet; my eyes with his.
Why, he’s no stranger; do I know him?
Why is he staring? Something’s wrong with me?
Our eyes lock and my heart somersaults.
Now my loin constricts and my heart’s racing.
At the exit, I’ve no business to turn back.
But something’s burning my back;
Laser rays or his eyes…yes, he’s looking straight at me!
My hand shakes as I unlock my car;
I did miss the red light!
Thanks God, I’m safe home.
Some curses under breath bring back my senses.
But this night I’m not to sleep.
His eyes are not leaving me.
Gosh! I’m smiling and laughing foolishly.
My temperature’s rising!
I take a shower and refresh the wrinkled bedsheet.
First dawn, I sit staring at the fan.
Oh! I’m in love.
Heart longing, I’m there again
and again in the days to follow,
eyes thirsty, searching but for his eyes!

Its here the thing we all fear,
The apocalypse is near,
The devils spurn has risen,
Trapping us in our homes like prisons,
To plague our planet already broken,
Is it retaliating, squeezing our lungs chocking,
Like the black death the plague upon our people,
Swooping, stealing the lives of the weak and feeble.
The most innocent are victims of the virus,
A sickening twist to this sickness sent to us,
From an unholy ghastly maker,
This is not the handy work of any saviour.
Is it a clense of the human race,
A government conspiracy for goodness sakes,
Bats are where it supposedly derives,
A rodent of the night skies,
Despite everyone's efforts its spreading like flies,
No loo roll paracetamol or thermoeter will scare it away,
It looks like it plans to stay,Just like an unwanted guest, Who's warn out its stay, so I'll guess I'll be the first to say
Welcome Corona virus to the UK.
He came into my room carrying a gentle shade of light upon his face
and as I grew accustomed to his presence, I felt his spirit free
Its as if the angels carved him out of alabaster bone and marm
with and anciency and rapture made of silver thread and gold
Spellbound by his magic, I inhaled his presence dear,
then watched my heart begin to beat for him and him alone
He was the scent of orchid in a mingled denim shirt
and as he blew me kisses, I hitched a breath so rare
between his arms, beneath his skin, inside his heart
I was here, there, everywhere,
and as he roomed me with his auric fire
I heard the beckon of my soul,
" Go ahead release your heart, he's yours"

FEVER PITCH
Demons of faith,
God speed,
Ageless tears,
A dweller lost in the perfect Odyssey.
Bricks of memories, barricade my way out.
Growing gray within the ageless centuries.
Steady rivers, at the pitch of one response.
Times out, by the heat, and beauty.
Tragedy is never a fear to announce.
The drug that takes to cure, the world,
~ lost in a torn humanity.
Harmless, results and tears
~ struck in every way, in the same day.
Sneaky thoughts up my sleeve.
I will leave, the envious of me, this you best believe,
There is no way in...
YET!!
I found the perfect way out...
Destroying demons,
That get in my way..
Waking up in a dusty road.
Unleashing every load.
Today's a different day, still I wake up the same way.
But, today life is reversed.
I find myself with an endless thirst.
Tossing me into a 700 degree level,
I shine away from the path of the dust devil.
Swirling all around, forbidden to enter my bound.
Your pitch at me,
a fever I want no more.
Now I can see, the emptiness of the things inside of me.
Now I can feel, my soul reaching out to heal.
Breaking every cold sweat,
Shivers, pneumonia a life of regrets.
Withdrawals left behind.
Symptoms, showing the fever is gone.

Alas, and alack, there is a lady for whom I have formed an attraction. She has an aura about her that leaves me aching to have her in my arms. I am astounded that I have become so enamored with someone I have never met but she holds me spellbound and singing an aria of admiration yet reluctant to announce my avid desire to her. Should I let her know my feelings and be rejected it would fill me with anguish and apprehension that would not be easily abated. She has no idea of the absolute feeling of helplessness my avarice thoughts create within me knowing she can never be mine. It is absolutely astonishing that we talk with each other about activities in our life and she is unaware that she is, in actuality, the answer to all of my aspiration to make her an appealing part of my life. She is so alluring, and attractive that I lie awake at night with thoughts of her on my mind and go to sleep hoping those thoughts will cause my dreams to be awash with the authenticity of reality. Amen!
Attraction

Wooden floor's relief
Cooling fevered feet
Pace, bare, in blackness
As tranquil raindrops
Softens prickly nerves
Cloud covered stars
Still shine, behind
Glowing without
Doubt's permission
To find them
Just look up
Hope sees through
The dark
Like the
Moon.

Title: Cool Fever
He walked into the place of my employment.
I was the only one at work in that small convenience store.
His aura was that of an angel
with the hint of a devil in his grin.
My attraction to him was immediate and amazing.
Tall and dark, he was the Adonis of my dreams.
I saw him from the corner of my eye as he lingered close by.
My Adonis was also watching me!
Daily that week he appeared around evening,
flirting a bit and making small talk, his grin ever enchanting!
I can’t remember of what we spoke.
I was too lost in the beauty of his brown eyes.
Finally, he asked me out. Why did he wait four long days?
To his country he would return from his short vacation
the very next day after our one and only night out.
I was never to see my young man's dear angel face again.
As I awaited his entrance to the store that big night,
I was aching with longing to simply be near him.
Other dates on which I’d gone were the most ordinary of tunes
compared to the romantic aria that played out that precious night.
We had driven off in his uncle’s Riviera, the car he'd borrowed.
Like his caresses and kisses later that sweet night,
even the automobile’s name is seered into my brain.
By that one September night with him, I was left ASTOUNDED.
Jan. 17, 2020
Though I used all the words, Astounded is my chosen word which
best described that indelible night right before I turned 17.
In the battle of the poets
Closeted within their dens,
Words their only ammunition
Shooting from their ink filled pens,
Seeking phrase uniquely pretty
And an unused metaphor,
They have not the time to help me
Woo the one whom I adore.
Without muse or bard assistance
Am I equal to the game?
In trite words of deep devotion
Will the message be the same?
I can't say it grandiosely
As I beg you to be mine.
The old words will have to do then.
"Will you be my Valentine?"
The crescent moon and sunlight consumed by the moon’s fullness.
The violin violates the quiet and quaint acquaintance of an eyeful.
The cow, with its rudimentary cuds, could only curse the night.
The bull will not croon its lullaby; he & his Bessy will not take flight.
It’s a circus, peculiar, not meant for sleeping babes in arms.
Infants blink black and white; Chagall’s kaleidoscope alarms.
The angels halt their silent night chorus to weigh in on Bach.
The strum of strings stuck to the ooey-gooey moon ad hoc.
A strange night, indeed, with flying fish - I thrice had that dream.
Marc and Bella sail over the circus-clouds with weathered extreme.
I shall fix upon a romance, most of us stay grounded, perhaps
One leg lifts the skirt, and perhaps the armored chap in lapse
Of selfishness, shows his shining sword, promises to protect
His girlfriend, his bride forevermore with a diamond affect.
Marc and Bella don’t look down to see who’s looking up.
While couples fight for a win, they won’t give up their loving cup.
Exploration of intensity and quadrants, amused in edenic perennial.
Chagall’s, are the canvases I would inhabit. It’ll take a millennial.
the arc of this air rising like smoke
amidst the nival flora of hills
trails against gun-powder skies
with barrels drawn my mind pivots
in the anguish of yesteryear's pain
i cower like this sun beneath clouds
unwilling to lift the veil of eyes
and see the crimson splatter awaken
in the momentary flashes elapsing
through triggered little thoughts
that hold you in the corners of my mind
somewhat confined by my pacific soul
but still able to break free of these chains
sometimes i see you there
pointing more than fingers
and i choke on the weight of hands
pressing against my throat
as i try to swallow down these tears
sometimes i hear your uttered rage
in the shots of darkness that echo
along the halls of lonely walls
where bullets once shattered my heart
i still see the fear in my eyes as reflections stare back
in momentary lapses of this wretched love
that left me live yet die in its hands

(aching)
The aria of the sunburst slivers of the sky,
entwined with the cadence of your ivory feet,
winding on the pearl-rolled silver sea shore,
carves the rhythm of your footprint sculpture,
only for a beguiling while,
until scraped by the surge of time tide in spate,
stowed in the depth of the stratified memory,
they are all fossilized since.
I’ll make a sapphire sea of desire in my heart,
its golden beach, a shimmering crystalline face
will radiate the dissolved patina of yearning.
From the mystique mist of azure
the rise of an angel I’ll see astounded,
walking drenched in the crimson aura,
the twilight sky drizzling.
I’ll congeal my racing surf of heart beats,
the aching waves will return unbroken,
your footprints will remain engraved unwashed
on the silent sands of the stalled time,
until I reach you, enthralled,
following the mirage of the tantalizing trail,
the lure of your attraction.

He painted with emotions from a palette of words
Found himself in a forest of light green foliage
Threw his colours and ink pots high into the air
Waited for streams of consciousness to settle
Until sentiments found sentences on their own
The prism of clouds condensed into sun light
A bold font trickled from the pen’s fountain
Near a spring of love healing and innocence
Above an eagle circled above smudges of tears
Imagined that he was part of the poet’s plot
A flying aerial daredevil screeched his giggles
Undertone of freedom and ambience of spirit
Sound of the wilderness and narration of prey
A reminder and prayer of letting go of the past
Charisma found pages of unequivocal surrender
The scribe had been a hunter a few blue moon ago
Had once sharpened his quill with a razor of anger
Before twilight dawned on meaning and conscience
Planting seeds in an undergrowth of a restless mind
The bird’s wisdom dispersed the protagonist’s agony
Gently eased his kind claws and compassionate beak
Meanwhile the writer’s soul dispersed shadows of doubt
Fluorescent vibrations flirted around a layer of light
As the character witness unshackled anxiety’s trap
Relieved from permanence a new aura reflected his mood
The theme for the poem is ‘Aura’
