A Vast And Exploding Night Sky
I dreamt of a vast and exploding night sky
lights by the billions soaring on by
Silence was fast dancing,I know not why
waiting for message as night did fly!
Each breeze flickered the big glowing sight
and thoughts matched the echoes of glee
Love touches waltzed with the beaming light
each caressing the yearning heart in me.
I dreamt of an angel, winging right on down
whispering she sought true deep love
As she fluttered there in her brilliant gown
winged beauty from the Heavens above.
I dreamt of a vast and exploding night sky
lights by the billions soaring on by
Silence was fast dancing,I know not why
waiting for message as night did fly!
No sound, the utter silence danced its tune
So strangely missing, was the smiling moon!

poem written back in the mid 70's. I cut

Exploding Airbags
There you have it, another car user death reported in an accident..
Somewhere in Houston , Detroit a 17 Year old is the latest statistic...
As in any day, while being on the road, we risk getting into an accident..
As luck would have it, most of us survive to live and tell, to relive the incident....
With the latest technological advances in vehicular safety incorporated in cars..
We all spare nary a second thought on the issue of exploding airbags in cars...
But this latest accident, what a scary piece of news for the unwary driver...
The car being driven, it could have been fitted with faulty air inflators...
There has been a massive recall on affected cars the world all over....
Is that nice family car you are driving one of these affected car models...
In this latest accident, this unlucky Richmond girl rear ended another car...
Nothing to it, it was just a minor accident, another mishap involving cars...
In the words of the investigating police officer, most people safely walk away..
But in this unfortunate case, the sudden jolt triggered the airbag inflators...
Safe to imagine, the exploding force blasted to smithereens metal canisters...
Imagine the split second moment of flying metal shards and shrapnels all over..
What an unimaginable deathtrap in the fine cosy interior of a nice family car...
If one is unlucky, one will not live to tell the tale of walking away unscathed..
So here it is, a little info on this unintentional death that endangers all drivers...
Each time we get into our nice family cars, are they safe enough, do you wonder?

Acrostic - Brenda Lee Kime
Brightens - your day, seeing her smile.
Rendering - her day with a bit of style
Everything - was to make you think
Never - would she let you wink
Dear - hearted woman, she'd love to drink
Aha - then she would cause a big stink.
Loving - Warm, Gentle, and Kind.
Everything - she'd say made you think awhile
Educated - woman trying to make you smile.
Killing - you softly with her song.
In - her beautiful balloon, she rides
Money - Monday goes through her mind
Exploding - with a great big smile!
Once A Wild Child Of The Exploding Sixties
We were young, waiting universe lay ahead
too foolish to see danger or feel dread.
What of Love? It was hungry and all around
no need to ask life questions too profound!
Coming from famine, love's gold was our greed
we were starved stragglers in desperate need.
When we gambled and lost, love turned sour
we found dark little taverns in which to cower!
Such was life, in past days of our hippie youth
we just wanted to live fast, to hell with the truth.
Consequences, another word we furiously cursed
sadly they came, their bitter milk we nursed!
Life was glorious that summer of sixty-nine
days gifts, turned to night's wonders so fine.
No worries, Piper need not ever be paid
we kings of this world, thought we had it made!
Future promised, tons and tons of the same
we were ignorant of Fate's cruelest game.
Time was abundant gift that we gladly wasted
life was meant to be lived, loved and tasted!
Then Father Time, stepped up to ring our bell
life went from bliss into a living hell.
Bills sent, we were forced to pay heavy dues
walk over red-hot coals without any shoes!
Nights soon found morns coming with such aches
found we were not steel but glass that now breaks!
Yet through it all, some sweet memories are gold
although quite foolish we were also brave and bold!
What can one say that has not truly danced
felt fantastic bliss of being deeply romanced?
Truth may show bad yet in our youthful pride
WE THAT LIVED HARD AND FAST, WANT ANOTHER RIDE!

Exploding Flowers
Spring is a mine field filled with exploding flowers
Blood reds and yellows shoot forth to score the land
Seeds have no brains to think of
Such things are beyond their grasp
Broadcasting themselves about on random wind
Sharing life with natures chirping birds
Roots hid in bunkers, their truth, their beauty
Underworld, motionless, in brown earth and gravel
Waiting for the sun or rain to call their name
Soon, along green grass, emergencies arise
Bright colors climbing from within
On veracious vines, hungry to find out
They take the ground by storm
March over barren lands, spreading brilliance
Conquer the new dawn day in light
Trees are above, on top of things in spring
Always there to cast a perfect shadow
On shady characters in disguise
Flowers rise, simply sit there pretending to be shy
Looking pretty, flushed with color
Exploding with an ****** of seeds
All the while smiling on the care free breeze
*(This poem is not for the Flower contest. It is simply for pleasure.)
The noise that explodes within my nearly dreaming head
Awoke, sweating and wheezing, rolling about the bed
Quickened heart palpitations, feeling like i'm dead
Wouldn't be surprised if my ear has bled
Is it cos of those pills my mind was fed?
Vibrations like a steel cable tensed, that goes twang
When it suddenly snaps, engulfed by the clang
Like sheet-metal that a crow-bar bangs
Piercing my dreams like a vampires fangs
Or the feral youths in their pus-sy gangs!
When i'm thinking and drinking from a psychedelic tap
I get attacked by a nasty brain zap
Like some mighty metallic thunderclap
It sounds even worse than a hiphop rap
As if my dimensional tether is about to snap
And i'm awoken with an unpleasant slap.
Seems to be when i'm tripping alone
Every time my mind is truly blown
When my soul is free, allowed to roam
I'm hit by the twang, that makes me groan
As i'm yanked back to reality by Exploding Head Syndrome!

Today I went to see our doctor
he's a quack, possibly an actor
he thought it was quite fun
examining my bum,
exploding nuclear reactor
He called for the community nurse
she said an exploding bums a curse,
doctor covered in it
was unable to sit
something he certainly didn't rehearse.
putrid smell was overpowering
my nostrils were beginning to sting,
doctor shouts gas mask on
all his senses had gone
all because my big exploding ring.
exploding colors
sounds enrapturing the crowd --
silence of their awe
Exploding and Unloading
Ergonomics and energy are exploding,
And are all situated for an unloading;
Will occur,
Can endure,
While iron will be eroding and corroding.

Last night we layed together
Sweat between our bodies
Hearts beating rapidly
Stars exploding above us.
Did the earth move for you?
Thoughts flowed between us
Words hung in the balance
Questions lingering.
What's next for us?
Another night of exploding stars
More floating words.
The earth has shifted.
On a moonlit night
Your kiss hypnotizes me
I’ve never felt this before
Other suitors bore me
But, you awaken my body
And our passion sizzles
Our love is like a burning flame
It’s hot and fiery
And everlasting
It’s sweet like sugar
Succulent like Crème Brulee
That you taste ever so slowly
So that you can truly savor it’s splendor
Exploding Windmills
So fragile in its equestrian gait
The tippy toe of stealth
Loves to tread so softly
Behind
In tennis shoes
With velvet claws
Dreamers are destroyed
By fact
These prison smiles
With tiles of teeth
Deride the childish fantasy
Bludgeon at un-illuminated reality
Just to dangle their mechanical
Bag of tricks
Dreamers are destroyed
By fact
Stuff of nonsense
Imagery of bright eyes
Of painted books
And scribbled brush strokes
Pillow fairy tales
And windmills
Dreamers are destroyed
By fact
Sweet girly dresses
And boyish supermen
Plastic sunglasses broken
In the enthusiasm
Of slapping back in
To
The bright day too hot
To consider enchanting
Too fastidiously busy
To stop marketing
Disconsolate in its attitude
To pay attention to a giggle
Dreamers are destroyed
By fact
rime winter revenge
invasion with consequence ~
quaking trees tremble
(December Full Moon – Cree)
The magic of the perpetual
and everlasting moment
Defining my existence,
—no beginning and no end
Exploding its epiphany
into this and every instant
The brightness of its light
shining on all that becomes
(Grand Canyon: 5:30 am, Page Arizona, Jan 12, 2013)
Blown beyond simple comprehension;
Finding hidden whirling tasks,
Reaction reeling to unwind.
Sucking wind from vacuum.
Bouncing ideas off rejection;
Landing in unmade puddles.
Impressions one would steal.
Cold hard metal facts.
Looking at nothing seen;
Flying past undaunted future.
Head above swirling tomorrows.
Bottom drowning between lines.
Hills in distant vision;
Between eyelids and horizon.
Scraping cloudy sky dreams,
Rain drops replacing sadness.
Changing times thoughtfully dead,
Seconds away from eternity.
Lost skeptically below forever,
Farming out excess imagination.
Stroking faces never touched;
Still kissed by infatuation,
More given less wanted.
Grasping at valued nothingness.
To dance beneath waves,
Crashing on rock-less desire.
Held in cruel suspension,
Blending into blue-less obscurity.
