Premium Member Lift Somebody's Dawn

Learn from the eagle how to soar with winds
Spanning your wings to conquer tall peaks
Float hopes high reaching sapphire blue skies
Triumph with your smile as the world goes by

When beset in clutches of troublesome plight
Know that a new dawn always follows night
My child, when it’s your turn, do what’s right
Even a bright sunny day must cede to twilight

If you want things easy, they won't be worth it
Learn to swing ably if you wish to score a hit
When the climb gets hard you must never quit
Things that you regret, you may never repeat

Glint someone’s clouds, be the rainbow on arc
Be the emissary of light for the adrift in dark
Edify your doldrums, be always on your mark
Lift somebody’s dawn, be the sweet song of lark

Walk along humility when tempted by pride
Learn from those saintly, living lives dignified
Hold your balance or you’ll tumble and fall
Let the mountains teach you how to stand tall

When something goes wrong, do not justify
What’s spurious and superficial, do not glorify
How well you do, rests on how hard you try
When you hear the call of duty, never ask why

Let happy thoughts reign your state of mind
When emotions overwhelm, always choose kind
Spread the wealth of love to help mankind
Be the precious gemstone that is hard to find

Glint someone’s clouds, be the rainbow on arc
Be the emissary of light for the adrift in dark
Edify your doldrums, be always on your mark
Lift somebody’s dawn, be the sweet song of lark

Premium Member If I Were a Flower

A blossom I’ll be on the wreaths for peace
An offering to deity to feed world’s hungry
I’ll be the garden on every troubled street
Preening as gleefully as exuberant tulips
Swaying with spring in rhythms of daffodils

I’ll be the laudable bouquet of friendship
An emissary of cupid when love is elusive
A gift I’ll be, from souls of dreams romantic
I’ll be the cure when dear-heart is aching
A sensuous rose I’ll be, alluring bride to be

I’ll be sweet smile of expressions in violet
Pleasing smitten hearts on lilac landscapes
Presenting bell-shaped English bluebells
Tenderly in aura of angel’s blessed grace
I’ll be the enlightenment in lotus of solace

Lovingly I’ll answer every call of your will
In colors of hyacinth upon your window sills
And fragrance of white Lily evoking revelry
Composing gaily dulcet themed melodies
Strumming floral kisses on your sateen lips

Premium Member My Wish

I wish I was a mountain
With a bold gray granite face
My only tears a waterfall
That magnifies my grace
Each passing cloud, a misty shroud
Which adds to my mystique
Majestically, I'd wear a crown
Of jagged snow-capped peaks

Adorned with trees of all species
A wildlife sanctuary
My slopes I'd share with deer and bear
The bald eagle our emissary
With the wisdom of a billion years
I'd gained through flood and drought
We'd live in peace and harmony
That humans live without

Premium Member This Old Oak-Tree Smiling Through My Balcony

This old oak-tree smiling through my balcony
Sways and swings cheerily, a happy emissary,
Budding new vigor upon tiny greenish leaves
Adorning exuberance of idyllic new morning,
Quivering golden-beams on dawning of spring.

When the sun rises, blushing mauve feelings,
Its gentle oscillations fetch tender sensibilities
Inviting sparrows to grace the stage of robins
In spontaneous outburst of ceremonial music--
Chirping, twittering, singing for the hatchlings.

As summer of my mind churns wistful stories,
Its white blossoms waltz tender warm breeze
And leaves flutter merrily, twirling to comfort me
When thoughts bygone nudge parched vagaries
Engrossed in realm of burned-out memories.

When autumn turns green into fiery-red leaves
As ruby sundown glitters on amethyst evening
And gusty winds rustle-in endlessly, ferociously,
Whirling flying colors, floating crimson revelries;
A few remnants cling-on, loath to forsake me.

Yet, brazenly I gaze away, ignoring its appeal
When harsh winter shudders essence of its being,
Quivering, shivering bare-skinned branches;
Staying beguiled instead on top of frozen hills
Where sunset articulates ochre-tinged themes.

Kiss Me In the Shadows

Keep well away from dark, forbidding dreams --
Instead, stay near the hearth and play your lyre;
Sleep even so will wait on wooden beams,
Seducing you beside your cozy fire.
Meticulous and careful you may be,
Evicting darting shadows with the blaze --
Inside your quiet cottage, patiently,
Night's emissary holds you in her gaze.
The cuckoo calls as midnight church-bells chime;
His warning message echoes from the walls --
Enchanted ears have lost all track of time,
So far from whispered fears as silence falls.
Her chilling hands then rip away your voice,
And images assail your inner eyes --
Denying you the act of conscious choice,
On captive lips she mixes truth and lies.
When sunlight climbs the sky and breaks her spell,
She blows a darkened kiss, and bids farewell.

Premium Member Flower of Life and Rebirth

Oh, beatific lotus flower, blossom of my pious soul
How brilliantly you ascend, sparkling in sunrise gold
Being the emissary of divinity ancient tenets behold
Invigorating spiritual vibes unwavering beliefs extol

Oh, tender touch of angels, purity of enlightened life
How mystically your petals divulge esoteric delight
Kneeling for mortal beings, submerging into the night
Yearning renewal upon cleansing unwelcome strife

Oh, sage of wisdom, imperial emblem of knowledge
How you rise again and again, edifying life and death
Heavenly spirits you elate awakening human intellect
Illuminating senses in revelations of Buddhist texts

Oh, symbol of rebirth, essence of pure revered faith
How prayers of sacred words in your epiphany toll
Where rhythms of my heart in tenor of nirvana echo
As you grant eternal peace to mortals lost on earth
Oh, beatific lotus flower, blossom of my pious soul

Premium Member Simple Pleasures

The sun lifts an edge
and peeks a feeble light
beneath a blanket
of morning fog, its dull glow
hugging the horizon,
silhouetting a stand of trees
and the cross-hatched
pattern of a factory fence.
Another day has begun
with its shuffle of trite
miscellanea.

I muster an interest, sending
out my first emissary of thought
to greet the return
of this ancient god, follow the rituals
set to guide my way, bring favor
and bless the little plot
of earth that surrounds my life.
I pray a poem to reap
a continued harvest.

Not much happens now except
down in the cellars of my mind
where I keep the past bottled
like vintage wine. Now and then
I give each a turn to dislodge
the sediment and taste
a sample or two,
clean the labels and try
and remember the details
from those that have fallen off.

Occasionally I bring
a bottle up to share with a friend,
set it upon a table, open
and drink. An insipid autumn sun
is enough to dance reflections
around the rim of my glass,
ease out a tear or a smile,
helping me up to go and get
another. My days now
have matured into simple pleasures
and writing a few lines
to label the bottles cellared
in the quiet reaches of my mind.

Dear Love

Love, you fickle, flick'ring flame,
You emissary of insanity!
You wondrous, senseless heaven,
Oh, you sweet oblivion.
I lose myself inside your storm
And raging storm of chaos.
In swollen waves of ecstasy,
I let you carry me.
Don't question your decision,
Nor master your direction.
I follow blindly:
Take me where your reckless plan desires!

You cruel and glorious thing,
You gloat your vict'ry by my heart.
Which wept an laughed at once
When you did rear your pretty head.
And carelessly rejoiced,
For love, your poison is so sweet..

And even if I shall depart,
My mouth will not forget the taste.
I'll savor every lovely kiss,
As well as every tear.
Hold fast to ev'ry memory
Of bitter breaking loss.
And ev'ry passionate muse
That met me on new golden shores.

Love, I am all yours to keep,
But I am yours to suffer.
I lower my defenses
But, do be gentle just this once

Premium Member Paradise In Your Eyes

Paradise in your eyes

I was love's emissary...
on a mission from God,
love letters were written ...
but, in the desert were lost,

A broken compass to guide me...
but, hidden in the sand,
Thirsty desire compels me...
as, hope slipped through my hands

Bridge
The burning sun...blazed down upon me,
my perceptions ... faded so quickly,
but, just then I see...

Chorus
I see paradise...not a mere mirage...
you are a perfect reflection, my love
you put my heart on pause...and,
I see paradise...I see paradise...
I see paradise...
in your eyes.

I had a vagabond heart...
a gypsy soul too,
Chasing tails in circles...
in a room with no view,

Living life without reason...
without any rhyme,
You came along in due season...
in the nick of time.

Bridge
The burning sun...blazed down upon me,
my perceptions...faded so quickly,
but, just then I see...

Chorus
I see paradise...not a mere mirage...
you are a perfect reflection, my love,
you put my heart on pause...
I see paradise...I see paradise...
I see paradise...
in your eyes.

Bridge
The burning sun...blazed down upon me,
my perceptions...faded so quickly,
but, just then I see...

Chorus
I see paradise...not a mere mirage...
you are a perfect reflection, my love,
you put my heart on pause...
I see paradise...I see paradise...
I see paradise...
in your eyes.

I see paradise...I see paradise...
I see paradise...
in your eyes.

Pappa For Father's Day

This day - a marvelous devotion to my Dad,
who is emissary to the bonds of familial love.
Man who bestowed life upon me, you stand above
any man God created, hero role- you always had.
Gallant and fair, even when you were mad.
When life got too hard you gave me a shove-
Now I am a fortuitous woman, ti's you- because of.
Immortally your daughter, for this I am glad.

Protector, mentor - a few ways to define you
What really counts, though, is from the heart,
Copiously you bestow this gift so true-
The whole of your being, faithful you impart
Family matters, and no other- is your world view
Beings intertwined together... Never shall we part.

The Ruba’iyat of Créteil Lake – Part Twenty-Six

Soon all the rooms at trysting hotel were for years booked through
By pilgrims from Mindanao and Minangkabau to Timbuktu
Saudi princes bought the hotels at Carrefour de Pompadour
Kings of Malaysia with retinues planned long séjours

Sea Anne-Anne’s “broken news” chartered all the sailing club’s boats
The Mayor sacked the Accounts Chief for failing to raise the rates
Sea Be-As put out feelers to buy the Pompiers de Paris
All-Cheese-Seas-Roar made a secret pact with the mosque’s prelates

All-Lions-Fun-Press opened offices at the Préfecture’s terrace
Bee-Bee-Sea late as usual wanted a Royal Palace
So they got the Queen to confer Lordship on the Président
Beings-Port set about organizing annual matches face to fa	ce

Between Robo-Cops and the Darling Dears clad in chadors
On one condition: they all fought it out in the lake outdoors
Just then His Holiness with his yea-sayers strode out for air
When boom-voiced Commandant pounced on them with Robo-Cop jaws:

“Pray! Esteemed Prophet’s Emissary! Lend me thy sovereign ear!
Habeas corpus ad subjiciendum this writ makes clear
Miscreant Tent Maker’s son Omar doth s’installe à demeure… »
« STOP ! » ordained the Imam, « I must forthwith lead the dohr prayer !”

Premium Member Geese Honk

geese honk surround sound
spring's emissary head north...
invisible ghost

For PD
On Saturday I could hear Canadian Geese
honking while inside the house..I walked
out to see them and it was like surround
sound on a stereo almost as if they were
in the trees but I could not see a goose
anywhere..Sign that spring is here though.

Fear In the 21st Century

We have made our God eternal,
World without end; Amen.
Whose emissary waits forever,
On the other side of the door.
Moses, Mohammad, Buddha, Christ Jesus,
Pull a Clinton and define eternal.
The most frightening eternal spectre known,
Heaven Bless the poor who attract his attention
The auditor of the IRS....He waits for you.
Forever.

Sensuous as a kiss, gift of romantic dreams,
Your essence I feel as you tiptoe stealthily
Alluring sensibilities, revealing amorously
Silken ruby lips sparkling on work of beauty
Embellishing tiny dimples upon rosy cheeks;
Oh! the mystical you, loving you is euphoric.

Unannounced you titillate my life’s revelry
Mellifluous alike spring’s giggling streams
Occupying me happily on perilous journey
Lending your hand when I am trekking hills,
Jubilant visage of my life’s pristine prairies~
An enchanting emissary of proffers amatory.

When I asked a favor from a lonesome night~
Despondent, starless gloom of moonless skies
Clamoring earnestly to speed-forward time
So, bearing Venus high, the dawn could arrive;
There you stood fondly, donning flirty smile
Mesmerizing amiably in hypnotic hazel eyes.

Ah! what a bliss it is, in your endearing glee
When moments of joy life’s upheavals steal,
My darling I so adore you~ real as imagined
For you never fail to answer my every plea,
Questing realm of ecstasy elated you spree
Amid riveting reveries thrilling my fantasies.
