Best Effervescing Poems

Kingfisher

I sat down by the river bank

And watched the water flow,

The rapids effervescing

Meanders running slow,

Then past the corner of my eye

A flash of colour sped,

The kingfisher in his splendour

Hunts the river bed.

Premium Member The Orchid Moon and I

The orchid moon and I look in kind
at the dimpled ocean's
aubergine plain, meandering thought's
violet caves. I've lost my way
in the lavender vortex
of a tuberous begonia.

A July storm has passed.
Brackish petrichor lilts with the purr
of surf, now jade in lilac light,
unfolding on mulberry sand,
effervescing at my ankles,
gentle as cat fur.

This full moon buoys
out past merlot bluffs,
reposing on a mauve ribbon
between sea and plum sky;
periwinkle stars beg to spark
beside the aura of a steadfast satellite
that casts the grape of night
in fixed solitude.

Great Escape

Gorgeous gracious gardens gaping
Riveting running rivers racing
Echoing effervescing enamoring endless
Adoring Angels accepting attendance
Towering tranquilising trees tremendous

Eloquent equilibrium euphoric exile
Surrendering silence sustaining smile
Comfortably calming content consciousness
Attracting acoustical ambiance autonomous
Pleasurable pensive pondering paradise
Exuberant ethereal eyes entice

Premium Member Whereas

Savvy scientists scoff at the soul:
Can't poke it, prod it, pinch it, probe it
~ and clearly can't claim to contemplate...

an empirical, egg-headed, experimental
all-enveloping ecstasy of erudite exactitude
elegantly and eloquently embossed, embedded
~ in its entropy of effervescing exegesis.

Whereas

I know of no one -- nowhere -- nasty or normal
knock-kneed, neck-naped, nose-gnarled
neuron-nitpicked or nucleic-acid-nested

Who

denies indubitably or dubiously, definitely
or deafeningly--deranged, demented,
debauched or denatured -- the sacred
sanctuary unsullied, where sits, serene and
silent, the small, still sound of said soul

swilling, swelling, seeking, sailing, soaring---
sensitively, sensorily, yea sentimentally---

til he sees, then sighs, then seizes
so surreptitiously the serum of sentience

Within!

Confessions of Inanimate Objects- Part 2

Confessions of a Swirly Straw

The Swirly Straw said to the Clear Cola
“I don’t mean to pry
but I’m tired of getting double teamed
Like some harlot in a trashy movie
If I wanted so many ménage a trios’
I would have wished to be a **** star
Or possibly a prostitute
And even if I were born Jenna Jameson, Francesca Le, or Kobe Tai
I would have chosen a different occupation
Yes, it’s true I was Cleopatra in a past life
And perhaps I was the infamous Jezebel also
And perhaps I enjoy the physical act of sex
A little too much
But there is something very unsettling
about my top being tongued and sucked on
while a river of sticky sweet liquid
Is shot up my bottom
twisting and turning
through my body like a shivering ******
And besides your effervescing bubbles
are tickling me in all the wrong spots
So the next time
this anonymous person puts his lips to me
make yourself scarce and get out of my way
or mark my words
you’ll pay
energy has a funny way
of coming back to you
and reimbursing the guilty
for all the things they do.”

Confessions of Clear Cola

The Clear Cola said to the Swirly Straw
“My love I know you don’t recognize me
We sometimes don’t identify everything we see
But we keep on meeting again and again
Why just last year, I was the ink and you the pen
I flow through your veins like a fish in the sea
Do you remember my love? It is I Antony
In each life we meet, and I swim inside you
Sometimes I am blood, once I was the drink Yoo-hoo
And another thing
I’m pretty sure of is
That anonymous person putting his lips to you
is Caesar from Rome
In most lifetimes he comes to devour me
Like a rabid dog with his mouth filled with foam
He is my nemesis,
My demise,
The reason I die
But one of these lives
He is going to get, an Eye for an Eye
I’ve waited thousands of years,
And if I have to,
I’ll wait more
For just one chance
To settle the score
Et tu Caesar?
Well I can’t rightly say
But I promise you Caesar
You’ll rue the day.”

I Rise and Fall

I rise and fall like spring tides
And soothing autumn winds
Like effervescing chemical solutions
And gliding butterfly wings
I rise and fall

Like aeroplanes departures and landing
And emblems on flagpoles standing
I rise and fall like ocean waves
And the landscape across the land
I rise and fall like someone’s hand

I rise and fall like the sun and moon
Like equinoxes and solstices
I rise and fall like speed on speedometers
I rise and fall like summer breezes
 And the temperature on thermometers

Confetti Confessions

Proceeding further voids the non-existent warranty on your sanity remaining intact afterwards.

I feel like a shred of confetti
Anchored by cotton knotted
To a strong, steel chain
Fused with a great grain of pain
Cast in a vast castles grave
Of felled shells, long dead
Whose bones become my bed.

I really, really must confess
I use better bones for my bread
I really must confess
That bread is not the best.

I really feel like screaming
As my clenched cheeks cling
To a complicated thing
Effervescing
From my minds twisted guts
Into incontinent pants
I imagine I’m wearing.

I really, really must confess
My mind's become one mucked-up mess!
I really must confess
This mess does not smell the best.

I don’t sleep in sand beds
Or soil shorts made of thoughts
But my baking is to die for
So sign here before you taste
These sweet and sour soul cakes
Whose recipe of joy and dread
Imparts more bang than bone bread!

I really, really must confess
I love my minds mad caress
I really must confess
Its caress feels senseless.

Premium Member The Fairy Ring Part One

Once at dawn upon a wandered mind when day had dwelled within a dream,
I stood afore a forest's edge and gazed upon its refulgent grassy gleams.

Home alone on a house's deck perched before the acreage of the backyard's lawn,
I watched what grew on the ground drizzled in dew from the early drip of dawn.

A ring hath rounded about the lawn betwixt the kudzu-choked sycamore,
Wherethrough which viridian visions float in the verdure's effervescing floor.

Rising steam of the sunlit green trapped in the photons' saffron streams,
Hung in the stick of the humid thick, bubbling before the blazing beams.

I beheld lo brilliant ethereal bubbles, who're broken, buoyant, and brickle,
And sweat from trees whose sipping leaves suck from the sun's spilled trickle.

Suddenly, terror took me in its icicle shackles and caught me in its freeze,
As I saw something staring back at me from within the limbs of a willow tree.

The creature stirred beside the backyard's circle and wore which sinister stare,
Of the maniacal resplendence in ricocheted screams echoing inside a waking nightmare.

It was whispering hushed words in the wind that lilted the tree's whipped cirrus twists,
Of languid hung branches whose white flowers hid that which spoke behind their wisps.

I could not tell if it was hidden in the dark of a shadow or in the shine of the light,
As I stood there unmoving watching it watch me as my body filled with heavy fright.

Fear of the dark is but a worry of what the mind can make,
Out of a lack of light where what perchance from nothing can awake.

Yet fear of the light is but a fear of what outside the mind can find,
Outside two eyes whose sight doth sought that which is beyond the mind.

As I listened to the susurrous voice slithering in tendrils across the air,
I heard what it said with listening ears tucked 'neath my raising tuffs of hair.

Premium Member Blighted Statues

I can only live in a garden
where warped talons
of tiger tulip petals mar
unbroken lines of pastel shimmer,
not where silent cerulean lakes
float as though aloft
in frames of polished stone
to tell the cloudless sky,
I'm your offspring.
I smile for blighted statues
mocked by companies of peonies
effervescing in ballet
and the coarse tusk of St Augustine
thronged by emerald dichondra.
I have no business among wisteria's cornucopias
of lilac bounty nor the glee
of summer marigolds.
I tend thorny stalks
of a wild rose that never blooms
and climbing ferns whispering
in shaded corners of spring's
explosive allemande.
I feel only weight of gray misted mornings
when the dank of coming rain permeates
in pale foliage's stag line
where vines creep in distant communion,
ignored by harsh jonquil rays.

Premium Member Midnight Romance

The molten stars in midnight sky proclaim
my rapture in obsidian set free
as raven foil in effervescing claim,
of smoky cirrus in moonlit decree,

that flowers beg upon my crimson thoughts
when saffron whispers in a charcoal pit
bring ash of roses in the remnants caught
by pasts of once cerulean remit.

I stir absinthe on onyx table top,
in porcelain the patio does glow,
my inhibitions in the sable drop
while shadows in the chartreuse gardens grow.

My ivory facade is now in flames;
this naked love for you the midnight claims.*

Tablet

Fierce little whirlwind
Swirling and folding, effervescing
Substance collision, a nucleus
Tiny fireworks rising then bursting
A globe in a bucket of acid
Being consumed, absorbed fully, watching
This miniature landscape burning up
Under the weight of its own sun
Dispersing completely, another world
In a glass of milky way

Premium Member Porcelain Peacocks

Porcelain peacocks strut in starlit shower,
drifting as clouds on an emerald lawn.
Black Narcissus spindles in oxblood flower
in teeming beds before the coming dawn
of floating white as night would then be gone,

its smoky quills of porcupines receding
to a memory as effervescing
rays of morning glow would begin, preceding
butter sun with cumulus as dressing
in an azure sky and daylight's blessing.

(Intro)
From her I get …

From her I get …

(Vs 1)
She validates my existence
Leaves me always wanting more
I just love her sweet persistence
Yes, she’s the one that I adore

From her I get …

(Chorus)
Action
Main attraction
Chain reaction
Satisfaction

From her I get …
Rainbows
Anything goes
All tomorrows
Only she knows

From her I get …
Laughter
Morning after
To the rafters
Ever after

From her I get …
Kindness
Color blindness
Love that binds us
To remind us

From her I get …

(Vs 2)
Days overwhelmed by stress and strife
My heart was hard my blood ran cold
You shared your warmth and love of life
That day we met when I struck gold

From her I get...

(Chorus)
Sunshine
Beautiful rhyme
Says she’ll be mine
All of the time

From her I get …
Romance
Rhythmic slow dance
Love at first glance
Taking a chance

From her I get …
Blessings
Effervescing
Love confessing
No distressing

From her I get …
True love
Say I do love
From up above
Fits like a glove

From her I get …

(Bridge)
If selfishness precipitates, love will evaporate
Throw caution to the wind then your life will upend
If selfishness precipitates, love will evaporate
How much better at day's end to be found kind

(Vs 3)
Knowing I’d be lost without her
Communication is the key
May God bless our love forever
Our three-fold cord eternally

From her I get …

(Chorus)
Action
Main attraction
Chain reaction
Satisfaction

From her I get …
Rainbows
Anything goes
All tomorrows
Only she knows

From her I get …
Laughter
Morning after

Ever after

From her I get …
Kindness
Color blindness
Love that binds us
To remind us

(Outro)
From her I get …

From her I get …
