Midnight Romance

The molten stars in midnight sky proclaim my rapture in obsidian set free as raven foil in effervescing claim, of smoky cirrus in moonlit decree, that flowers beg upon my crimson thoughts when saffron whispers in a charcoal pit bring ash of roses in the remnants caught by pasts of once cerulean remit. I stir absinthe on onyx table top, in porcelain the patio does glow, my inhibitions in the sable drop while shadows in the chartreuse gardens grow. My ivory facade is now in flames; this naked love for you the midnight claims.* *This is a re-write of my free verse poem, Rapture in Obsidian, posted 6/4/17. I've been wanting to re-write it for some time but only just today stumbled on a way to do that.
