Coffee Cup Calculations - Poet's Cut

Based on BBC news article "Maths zeroes in on perfect cup of coffee"
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-37989169

Two billion cups a day we drink
To stay awake so we can think
Tireless workers - every nation
Need a caffeine drink equation

Lattes, mochas, cappuccinos
Our calculator super heroes
Measured, reasoned, wrote a theorem
Clockwork system - mighty fearsome

Divide the beans and add hot water
Multiplies the bean aroma
Takes away the taste chaotic
Get this right - it's sums and logic

China cups the theory goes
Helps the smell go up you nose
Cardboard mug with plastic roof
Not as good, but where's the proof?

But their reason's most disjoint
Like whole numbers - has no point
You just need a rule of thumb

Tireless workers - every nation

Lattes, mochas, cappuccinos

Measured, reasoned, wrote a theorem
Clockwork system - mighty fearsome

No longer need barista instinct
Random variations extinct
Future bistros turn bizarre
Robots running coffee bars

Coffee can't be served alone
You don't need maths - it's just well known
Donut, muffin you could try
Bagel, biscuit, slice of pi

This Woman I Am

THIS WOMAN I AM
WRITTEN BY NJIDEKA
IKERIONWU

This woman I am
 Stops me at’imes
It crooks my cruises
And storms my sails
Cuts my journeys short
And cows my instincts
Shrinks my time at
library
It edits my vocabularies

Most times
It dumbs my mouth
And numbs my nerves
Subdues actions inside
me
Just to evade that
question
That shy’s and freezes
my actions
Don’t you know you are
woman?

Yet I want to come and
come back again
As the woman I am
Being under
Savouring the joys of
womanhood
Always happening
inside me
The sweetness of
receiving ends
Enjoying the sucks of
my babies
Cite me right in this
verse
A bit shy now
This woman I am

I'Ll Wait For Someday

I'm surrounded all,
by the negatives.
Sigh!,
all of them!

All, I met, got in contact...
Everyone is negative about me!?
Why!?

Why, they all have to be such negative?
About me?

Any time, when I'm happy,
those negatives..
They, make me feel sorry for myself...

I'm, surrounded by those negatives.
That even when I'm happy,
They make me sad.

Their talks penatrates my ears.
Their words, hurt me at the heart!
Don't they have something else to do!?

When, I'm on my own way,
Why do they have to block the way?
Why? Why, only to me?

They make me mad!
They destroy my hopes and, dreams...
Why, did I get them here?
Surrounded by me?
Or, why am I here with them?
Couldn't I get into another place?
Where, I could dream my own dream,
Where I would have hope to hope for something.

Uh!, that's only a dream...
They make me disturbed always,
Their useless words, their bitter
And harmful words?
Can't they stay silent
For me!?

Uh!, I hope, I'll get someday
When I can dream of, hope of,
My own.

I hope, I'll get it someday.
And, for now, I'll stay here
I'll wait to for it to come,
With those annoying, negative peoples!

I hate them!
I wanted my dreams to fulfill,
I just want my own day,
When I can find my own time,
Never giving away to those dumbs!

Well, uh! I'll wait.
Wait for the days,
Or the day?

To get a silent and the day of my own,
I'll wait for it to come.
I hope of it to come.

Out To Get Me How To Offend 6 of 11

Shush Sushobhan,
she’s pushing her hand to my rock hard in the back of reception
your girl wowing at my fat long perfection,
I guess she thinks of you as rejection
after you spent a fortune forging affection,
less valued than my shlong.

Meanwhile slow and little brains porky pig
my circuit short twig tool of a boss is on an investigation
overpowered by resentment she gets my attention,
such minute intelligence reveals her intentions so evident,
I could read signs and tell of pending events,
whilst she's happy to believe I was unaware and dense.

I've cotton on to your rotten pong wanting me gone
and plotting for so long, me out witting miss puppet for the job,
accusations she'd lob
ridiculously smitten with my downfall,
now for your downfool…..

Think you’ve done better cus you ass lick more,
you’re brainy like a fruit basket whore,
That Greek bloke dumped you and not one man showed interest
it's because you’re a character men detest,
ugly with clothes on, mental scars undressed,
personality like a side dresser past it’s best,
beast and the beast misses fungal yeast,
walking around in a black suit putting yourself on the radar
put a helmet on your ugly face you’d be like Darth Vader,
no I mean,
a daft failure,
you think you're important
cus you're mentally dormant,
job performance level of slumber
dumb and dumbers dumb dumbster,
means, you are the dumbs dumped dumb stuff,
moustache and bum fluff, dog bark rough.

Let’s meet up again and see if you play those games,
now you’ve no title, see who reigns falls, up yours.

Sacred and Profane Love By Titian - 1514

Sacred and profane love by Titian - 1514

Love divine

How it burns when it falls from the sky -
how it hurts when the water is done.
How it rains with the words half-denied,
When the world looks for fabulous suns.

How it aches when the feeling's away
from the roads that are fast and are clean.
How it roars when the lights are insane,
how they fatefully touch our skin.

How I pray for this love not to fade,
How I look for your eyes in the woods,
How we crave for emotional shade,
In each other we find our roots.

Profane love

When the touch dumbs us down -
when the shadows arise,
When in passion we drown,
when there's evil disguised.

When your kiss, black as night,
slowly turns on my key,
when your arms, full of might,
burn my fragility,

When we're fruitful and hot,
when we're lost in our dreams,
When we're tied with love's knots,
So profane we might seem.

The Art of Conversation and Titian

Hail to the thieves
that retrieve
lost trees.

Hey! Where do you disappear?

Hail to the piercing taste of a pear.

Hey! Why do you gaze at me so?

I don't need reality unless it's mine.

Talk to me.
Talk to me.
Take your time and sigh.
See the world redesigned.
Then let it go.

Sell sunbeams in a crisis.
Talk to the stones that turn.

Touch the rhythm and burn with it.
Celebrate both victory and defeat.
See what's featured in the cosmic menu.
Among all the amenities I obtain you.

The art of grabbing without touching.
The art of dreaming without falling asleep.
The art of loathing without telling.
The art that picks the hip from the heaps
of all their winnings.

The art of elusive light.
The art of being close tonight
and disappearing tomorrow.
The art of 'have-a-nice-day'
with a finger on a trigger.
The art of getting miniscule
and then growing bigger.
The art that unites all nations -
the everlasting
misconception
of communication.

We pledged a portion of our lives training ruling,
When is it thriving to mandate and perform?
What do words feign in the theater of living?
Unlike dance, which is an achievement charm.

I've barely suffered to forbear a lasting mark,
By betraying these futile sensations on paper,
I realize the purity of the most significant task,
My way of life would radically grip to remember.

The business idea made Disney on the up,
The reality of a dream versus advert view,
Undeniably we don't soar but rise each step,
For the view and attain our genuine shaw.

My performance overtakes that of the wise,
I meander from one to the closest, awestruck,
How are you presently, they enquire? A gaze,
"Oh me?" I say gently. I'm doing fine, not stuck.

A mistaken view of such a rare performance,
My rarest bestowal in a decade of struggle,
Oh, how I awed, dumbs that its discordance,
An act of the stage never held a snuggle.

After exerting my skills, I left the spot right,
My faint dwell bears me with joy and calm,
When the sun sets, I gain peace in the night,
Hastily, the veil will fall off, so I won't harm.

Stain not letting, be diverted by anything,
Whatever deeds to hail you, elect varying,
Essay not inciting to be swung by any turmoil,
Any lifestyle drive love, trust, and verity,
Recall that life is too short not to dwell fully.

Premium Member Danger Island Dumb-Dumbs

We knaves had orders both explicit and dumb:
Scare the blazes out of a management bum.
Thunderstorm weather rocked wide Prince William Sound,
Feisty gales pouring rain all around.

My partner and I took our overseer
In a tiny smoker craft quite rough to steer.
Motoring south, mighty gusts drove us to shore
We staved off sandstone rocks with long wooden oars.

Back to the channel against gusts we did plow.
Our passenger sat white-knuckled in the bow.
We rounded the curve of our wind whipped north shore
To enter Danger Island Strait's tidal bore.

Roller coaster billows rose twenty feet high
Then dropped into wallows roofed only by sky
At bottom our boat swirled among kelp and rocks
Our passenger appeared as a stunned ox.

Through the passage stood our island’s south cliff face
Pacific waves raged, clawing cliffs to deface.
Our passenger’s eyes set to leap into space,
My partner asked about a smooth landing place.

Sad faced I said, “High tide is still hours away
No place for our boat above the surf today.”
Our passengers’ face seemed as if borax bleached
Praying our tiny craft was soon to be beached.

We rocked and rolled daring Danger Island’s sway
Then motored up our channel, heading camp’s way
We fought the frenzied wind and staved off the rocks
Our management friend quietly clutched his socks.

Nodding, we grinned sideways as if to gloat
As we bailed our boat simply to stay afloat.
But when ornery orcas bumped our frail boat
One gave us the eye; we croaked cries from tight throats.

Our urban client raced to the cook tent door.
While we pulled our craft above the tidal bore.
When we got to the tent for our rum and tea
Our client had downed high proof rums one, two, three.

More Silliness

I am at it, again, but I don't know why the devil in me
should take such points as spelling and grammar as correctly being
so NOTICEABLY HIDDEN from my view.

After all, it's but a SMALL matter of GREAT importance to me
when I have to RECONSTITUTE the REMAINING REGULATIONS
REGALED by the WRITTEN word.

But the CRUEL CRUX is the CONTEMPTIBLE COAGULATION of
CREATIVITY that COINCIDES with the CONCENTRATION, CARE,
and CONCERN at their COMING.

WHILE WORDS WHISPER to me WITHOUT WARNING, their
INDIFFERENT IMPORTANCE IMPLIES that I am INTO INESCAPABLE
ISSUES with them.

EMPTY MOUTHFUL of words, I know...Yet I am OFTEN OVERWHELMED
WHEN WORDS WILLINGLY WROUGHT in thought are WOVEN into
a PAPER FABRIC.

How, silly of me to think that I should quit . I am just a dumbs _ _ t !!

It Rained For the Son Not Saint

The hot summer,
Failed rain for months,
The land cracked,
Trees like bolded heads after falling leaves,
Birds fallen broken wings,
Waiting animals to die,
Today or tomorrow,
Children drank their cry,
Looking at the disappointed sky,mothers,
The village was not in the usual noise but like a land of dumbs,
A saint took all village men to an open ground,
To pray God seeking rain,
Some birds and animals to follow,
The son of the saint too walked along,
All marched like soldiers to the battle field,
"I had forgotten to bring my umbrella",
The son said to his father, saint,
The saint shocked but walked fast ignoring son,
All prayed God seeking rain,
It rained,rained and rained soon,
"It rained not because of the saint but his son who trusted God",
Someone came in someone's dream and told!

On the Sidewalk, My Eyes Wander

On the sidewalk, my eyes wander
till arrested by Noel.
So they have passed as tall phantoms.
So the rainbow blinds, burns, and dumbs.
So it will always be surrender.
I who have dwelt
in lone drives praying for God's thumb
must be patient with the devil.
Our ogles meet, at the bevel.
