Discovering Purpose

Rapidly falling
Crashing against weathered stones
Water seeks purpose

Premium Member Discovering Forever

When you gave me your news
The sides of my mouth rose in a maniacal grin
Was this some kind of cruel joke
Blood rushed away from my brain
Leaving me feeling faint
I could not comprehend
The possibility
The reality
Of your mortality
It was like it was happening to me
"How could this be happening to me!"
You have always been here
I know you are not going anywhere soon
But this forces me to see
None of us is here forever
So I will not take you for granted
I will celebrate each moment of our laughter
I will fill up the storehouse of my memories
I will be the giver and receiver of hugs
Smiles will adorn my lips
Still, I will not be afraid of my tears
Today
Yes today
This very day
I will scream
Scream out my anguish
Scream until I release my inner sadness
Until I am endowed with your strength
For you do not allow yourself to wither in pity
You dance
You celebrate what is
Not what is lost
You do what needs to be done
You prepare for battle with a warrior's heart
The blood you have given me
Pumps from my heart
Back to my brain
To my eyes that see you
To my ears that love hearing you
To my hands that enjoy your familiar touch
To my tongue that never tires of talking to you
All the parts of me that fully enjoy
Our time
One day there will be a time beyond us
Yet that time is not now
So for now I will love you
I will appreciate the gift of you
When your time arrives
There is a part of you that will stay with me
The part that I will carry with me
To guide me along my own finite path
Until the time I bring it back to you
into the next world
The place that we will discover
Once and for always
That there is
indeed
Forever!

Discovering Love

What is this? This way I feel?
I've never felt before
A desire for a love to heal
A heart so cold and sore

Out with the old
And in with the new
To my past love, I never told
But I'm happy at the chance to meet you

Discovering Love is pretty overwhelming
In my heart, so many feelings assembling
So much beauty in so many faces
Spread across the world, in a million different places

I want someone to hold dear by my side
Each and every night
To be there when I want to hide
And tell me everything's alright

Meet someone with their heart so open, their eyes so wide
Who reminds me of the one I lost
To pick up the pieces, while to my life revive
And breathe love's warm fires on a heart of frost

She's out there somewhere, thinking of me
As I am of her
Just a blank face in our minds
For which our hearts slowly burn

Discovering Love is pretty overwhelming
In my heart, so many feelings assembling
So much beauty in so many faces
Spread across the world, in a million different places

And my past love will do the same
Meet someone kind, and new
Know he'll grow to love her name
Just as I did, and still do

What will come of them, I'll wonder
Pray she finds happiness beyond compare
Under the sun, rain, and thunder
But to share these feelings with my new love, I wouldn't dare

Discovering Love is pretty overwhelming
In my heart, so many feelings assembling
So much beauty in so many faces
Spread across the world, in a million different places

Premium Member Discovering the Realm of Poetry

When we speak today we tend to look at words as a necessary constant with limitations of their own rather than a completely different cosmos in which we have the ability to traverse and discover.

Take a single resident of that realm for example; one individual word. Rather than looking at it as a compilation of letters, view it as a beautiful form in which you have the privilege of dressing. Turning it into a separate creation adorned by the complements of your choosing; a poem.

In the realm of poetry there are unending borders of emotion, philosophy, and beliefs that make it a place of residence like no other. However, you as the individual are the surveyor of your own boundaries; meaning that you run the risk of personally limiting your space within the universe of word.

Explore this new land and map its different landscapes. Become that which you are writing and attain the ability, the gift, to reach directly into the mind, heart, and soul of another person.

Premium Member Discovering a Little Dog In the Painting of S Dali

A little dog was sleeping
At the bottom of the sea
In the painting of Dali
He was there all the time
But we didn’t see it
Till a touch of divination
Wakens up imagination
And a hand of inspiration
Brushes paint on the surface
Of the canvas and we see
Gentle hand of a little girl
Lifting the edge of the veil
Of the deep dreamy ocean
Slowly revealing the motion
Of cozy sandy landscape
Of the bottom of the sea
And in awe suddenly we see
A spotted dog cozy resting
In the canvas of Dali
He was there all the time
But we saw only plain
Reflection of the sky
On the surface of the water
And the ripples swinging by
We did not see below the screen
Of the mass of bluish green
Body of the ocean

Discovering the Deep

A vast ocean
our churning seas
sit within Earth's bowl
containing historical treasures
within murky depths
Secrets settled
still to be unveiled
Precious cargo's price untold
not known if would offset
the cost of any rescue or revelation
Untold scenes priceless
hold enormous quantities of life
scarred by the touch
and interference of our modern world

Discovering You

What is your favorite color dear?
No, don't tell me, not just yet.
Let me discover you, while I can.
Until the sun has set.
Let me learn you, let me learn.
Let me find you every day.
Allow me this I ask of you
Do not show me the way...

Years we've had now, my darling
And I wonder still, I do...
The twinkle in your eye I see
The magic, that is you.
What is your favorite color?
No, don't tell me, not just yet.
Let me discover you, while I can
Until the stars have met...

I'm old now my love, my sweet
my heart is fading fast.
Hold me here as I pass this veil
as my breath takes its last...

And as they held each other
As they always used to do.
She softly whispered in his ear..
Its blue... it's blue... its blue...

Discovering Hope

I cried a new galaxy of stars
wondering if all was lost,
and I braved a new world
thinking the old was diminished

but all was not lost
and nothing diminished,
as one light snuffs out
another ignites

rising over the breast
of a new world, rests Hope,
glimmering minutely but glittering
the stars of our universe

Discovering Women

In 1950 the boy's world
was mostly populated by women.
Men were there as well
but they were like forces of nature
dark, incomprehensible, moving around
making deep sounds.

Women had red painted nails,
they had permed hair,
they had bosoms
smelling of babies.
They spoke often, mostly pleasantly,
their words left a dryish lipstick taste
on the boy's lips.
When they kicked off their high heels
the damp odour
of their nylon stockinged feet
had a strange allure.

There were little girls,
small feral things
with glittering, gathering eyes
and they sometimes bit.

The boy wanted one of these
but did not know how to acquire her.
So he touched her hair
and she slapped him away.

That night he slept with the sting
of her eyes
cuddled in his arms.

.discovering Whats Already Been Uncoverd.

I stand for the underdog.
But standing alone is nothing
without a voice.
you can stand taller than Rockies,
or smaller than the insects that inhabit
them.
But you wont be heard without a voice.

Discovering Truth

Your words use to hold me tight at night
Your words use to make me feel good
Your touch use to make me feel like I was melting
These days you have become poison to me
I use to be smitten by you
Intoxicated by what I thought was love
Blinded and infatuated by your lust
Let me tell you honey what I learned
There are other men out there
That will love me, hold me, make me happy
I don't have to wait on you
So now I'm laying down
Next to my loving husband
Who you aren't
I feel so blessed
Thank you for letting me
Get to the man that loves me

Discovering Laconte

The innocence of a child, will grant sixth sense,
The way they peer through ones soul, appreciative of chance.

As close to Him as one can get unless entombed,
is to be the Indigo one, eavesdropping from the womb.

Fingertips suspended in animation, Find
The images of all surroundings like the newly blind.

Recognition of voices, knowing who you are
Sit and wait, lay dormant till, it is time for them to part.

Roads will be taken, paved or rough, their choice,
It's all part of the cycle for them to find their voice.

For Indigo's, along with Crystal children, know
That the gift of life is precious, baby steps, their own.

With each footstep taken, an imprint leaves its mark,
When life cycle repeats itself, the world they were apart.

Discovering How To Use the Potty

Tortoisaurus and his friend Noah T.
are discovering how to use the pott-y
It's something that all boyz n' girlz do
so get up on your feet n' you'll learn too
First we march in the bathroom stompin r' feet
just stompin our feet to the dino beat
Next we step up on stool come on it's cool
now we pull r' pants n' undies all the way down
Sit upon our potty n' wiggle around
now you have finished ,don't forget to wipe
We wipe with toilet paper mornin, noon and night
we pull r' pants n' undies all the way up
Saying Bye Bye to pott-y and give it a flush.

What Happen To the Word of Man

Have you ever stopped to ask yourself why
Some people can't look you in the eye
Seems like the more that time passes by
The more apt people are to lie
As hard as I try to analyze
I strongly advise staying away from these guys

The ones that won't look you in the eye
Without thinking they must lie
Believing people will always sympathize
With there dirty lies
It's enough to make you want to cry
Anything else seems to imply
That it's okay to lie

Brought up to rely on my word
Anything else seems absurd
The Bible teaches us that it's a sin
No matter how far I look I can't seem to win
Some people just don't know where to begin
Every direction I turn the more I learn
This is all part of the devels burn
It's time that we all need to be concerned

And realize anyone who lies to another
Has to live with the thought of us discovering
The truth about who they are inside
Not able to testify on their own behalf
In which man has always relied
I despise the ones who won't look you in the eyes
Not able to compromise
Always trying to pull the wool over your eyes

Realizing we must cut all ties
These people can't seem to decipher
The truth from their own lies
I can recognize the lack of light
That reflects from their eyes
So sad as it will only lead them to their demise
With nobody left to here their dirty lies
