Discovering Purpose

Rapidly falling
Crashing against weathered stones
Water seeks purpose

*My first attempt at Haiku

Hi Nathan For your first attempt at haiku you did a outstanding job! So inquisitive, love the way the water's in search for it's purpose. Couldn't have written a better haiku myself! Thanks for your most welcome comments on my haidu Visions. It seems we're on the same wave length! I Look forward to reading more of your outstanding poetry in the future! Many blessings to you and yours. Take care. Love Light Truth Patricia

Neet concept. Actually fits the haiku's 'nature' oriented themes that I never followed in the forms page. I love your falling water analogy. Water knows how to get around obstacles, assuming it's basic purpose is to follow gravity, it can get around any barrier given enough time has passed.

The funny thing about your comment Carolyn is that I had the vision of a waterfall. :-) That's one of the beauties of Haiku. It can be interpreted is so many ways.

Is it really your first attempt? Awesome, Nathan. Water does "seek purpose," even when it is carried by a hurricane to some unwelcome shore. Best Wishes, Carolyn (And you have return mail.)
