Premium Member Hold Your Head High

keep dwelling in the clouds, my mentor said
and shun those who would drag you through the mud
their heinous wish to keep you seeing red
is Satan's lure for drawing out first-blood

for in this world malevolence abounds
and evil lurks in every corner nook
to tit for tat in idle chat with clowns
is like a fish who can't resist the hook

but in the sky there's love and harmony
you'll find yourself immersed in dreams of peace
I'll help you in your quest to stay angst-free
together we'll find joy and sweet release

forever may this be my firm resolve
to rise above the fray and thus evolve

No One Is Perfect

Don't know why people boast and stand erect,
As I have heard no one is perfect.
Is it only money or power for this cause?
And for this, should I boo or applause!

Different people have different thinking,
But everyone wants to fly.
We've seen trees arguing with plants,
I don't know why!

Crows looking at Peacocks for their beauty,
Peacocks looking at Crows for their flight;
Stating that no one is perfect,
Isn't that right?

Besides perfection,
Think of attaining success.
Just be determined;
Have a strong will,
Otherwise it'll be a mess!

Self Determination:

The most courageous act is still to think for yourself.
I am no bird; and no net ensnares me: I am a free human being with an independent will power & self determination.
I am a crazy traveller.
I walk on the wind.
I am a friend for my all friends.
I meet everyone with a smile as Charity.
There are countless aims or target in my empty pockets .
There are big dreams in my small eyes.
Decorate my paths with self respect, dignity & pride. Open your arms
I am coming O Life, I am just coming.
Come,Be friend with me.
I have listened to my heart & soul.
I shall always listen to my heart & soul.
I have lived like crazy.
I shall always live like crazy.
I do not care for any kind of my victory or defeat.
I am in love with those people who donot hate & hurt true love feelings of real lover.
I Donot like to hate & hurt people.
Raise the skies
Raise them even higher
Let me open my wings
Let me enjoy the flight.
I am full of determination
Just Test me.
I am self determined pious maiden muslim girl
The only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be.

Her appearance
    I cannot express
  But sure I know her
    in the flesh

In myriad contexts can she speak
    though she's not multilingual
She may be married, maybe single
    in every crowd she mingles

She's made of iron and forged in fire
    a mountain-mover, soaring higher
And when the battle's over and done
she digs right in for the very next one

Do Not Stay Gentle Into That Shell

DO NOT STAY GENTLE INTO THAT SHELL
Do not stay gentle into that shell,
Old age and death sails to snatch your day;
Wake up against the quenching bell,

For many will think the dark is theirs to sell,
Because time has failed to open the heap of their bay,
Do not stay gentle into that shell.

Great men with great talent, now the wail in hell,
If they had had, the legacies would in silence pray,
Wake up against the quenching bell,

Wise men, who had their gifts in use and so well,
And now too late, they’ve chided with grief on way,
Do not stay gentle into that shell.

Grave men, rot with these gifts, I’m sorry to tell,
With great minds and ideas not heard, what I have to say,
Wake up against the quenching bell.

And you my comrades, with gifts and wisdom, I quell,
Pull out and do the unimaginable now and not to play,
Do not stay gentle into that shell,
Wake up against the quenching bell.

Premium Member Spring Is In the Air

Dullness slowly gives way and comes to life
As sunrays gently warm a sleepy earth
Blooming dreams in colors devoid of strife
Annual cycle silently gives birth

Air impregnated with vibrant yearning
Nurturing tender lover's kiss and nudge
A compulsion too strong to quell burning
The miracle of buds begin to budge

Spring's balmy droplets of gentle rainfall
Awake a frenzy of thirsty verdure
Provoking sudden surge and free-for-all
We’re moved by such miraculous allure

Spring is in the air with steely resolve
Evolving sure as earth and sun revolve

Premium Member Infrangible Resolve

I must travel to that space to where I know my own perfection
To turn my eyes to the most uplifted of exalted heavens
To feed the grace of challenge and objection
As the daring confrontation to my guide to never lessen
Bearing the thrust, lifting the weight of my verdict's devotion
So to never be a slave to any untruth given
This foundation of my soul's country - its home is willingly chosen
By the criterion and wealth of its knowledge and acceptance to live in
And abide in the sweet refrain of resolve and determination

Premium Member Patience and Perseverance

In the voyage of life when we set sail
Let patience allied with perseverance
Be the bacon light for us to avail
In the warm summer of exuberance
As in the wild, wobbling winter of gloom
When wilful wintry winds whirl us to doom;

When whooping waves waft the frame of our boat
Let's not give way to shadows of despair,
But hold on steadfast and keep on afloat;
When stormy gusts try our sails to lay bare
Let's brace ourselves with power of the will
And determination as a firm shield.

Let's not try to touch the sky at a stretch
As we may never meet the horizon,
Let's not try heaven to reach at a breath
As we may tumble in the ocean,
Let's move on step by step as the clock's chime,
Sail on steadily, a knot at a time.

Patience is a gift bestowed by the Lord
A balm that soothes the soreness of stress
A precious jewel seemly to afford,
And perseverance the key to success
The spirit that drives man to sail ahead,
The essence of efforts that are sacred.

When setting sail on an unknown voyage
It's fitting to have faith in the dIvine,
Who escorts our steps at every life's stage
Ever guides our path across space and time
With patience to earn the Lord's sublime grace
And with perseverance to win the race.

Marathon of Memories

2025 Poetry Marathon Mile 7 Poetry Contest// Sponsored by: Mark Toney
( 2nd Place )

Written: August 10 , 2025

The morning fog low over the empty streets,
soft as a whispered promise.
My shoes slapped the pavement in steady rhythm--
each step a heartbeat counting the miles.
I had yet to run—and those I’d left behind.

Streetlamps stretched shadows across brick walls.
Long, crooked shapes that seemed to shiver.
A dog barked somewhere—
sharp, sudden—
and I remembered even echoes can run far.

I passed the river, silver in the first light,
leaves drifting like tiny paper boats
carrying laughter from summers I can’t hold anymore.
Each puddle mirrored my worn determination,
the uneven steps of a life I’m still figuring out.

At Mile Seven, my legs shake like a leaf
but my brain knocked around a long way—
to faces I love, faces I’ve lost,
half-light I trailed too heavily,
mornings I never perceived.

My hair was windblown.
Mixed with the scent of rain and earth
and the faint hope that keeps moving me further.
I ran—not for medals, not for applause,
but because every stride stitched the fragments
of life into something that felt whole.

When the horizon caught the light--
it wasn’t a line at all.
It was the journey itself—
miles abaft me, ingrained memories,
and the quiet truth.
I ran just find myself
and somehow--I did!

A Journey in Motion

I lace my shoes
tight around trembling feet.
Morning fog drifts over the edges of the road
and I stepped into the chill.

Each pace is a heartbeat, each breathes a quiet prayer.
The way extends beyond sight, its outlines softening into mist, yet I move unwavering.

Memories press like weights, old doubts whisper at my back but the wind lifts my chest, and the horizon bends
toward a soft- stubborn hope.

Rocks bump my soles the sun sears at noon and shades cling to my sides.
Yet the rhythm is steady and true
drags me over pain.

Young laughter takes through the air.
I feel it deep within my bones
a gentle reminder: running is more than distance;
each step is patched together.

The final mile arrives
legs scream, lungs ablaze
the heart remembers why it started,
why it runs and pushes forward still.

I move across
not for glory and not for cheers
but for the life each thread
sewed from scattered pieces
into something complete.

The road behind me hums with traces of effort,
each heartbeat a peaceful success
and every sigh a victory.

Of My Determination For Success

Perfection is my
Prey- and I am its most ra-
                    Venous predator.
