Deserved Rewards - Inspired By the Life and Poetry of Sylvia Plath

In ode to all who succumb
through wayward passages
lined of scribble notes
dripping ink’s savagery,
staining cursive patterns
in Sylvia-like depressions

Jarred bells ring
down lost tunnels
around each dark corner…clang
from steeples we chase
and beds we lie
draped in sadness
and shapes of
poetic happenstance

Tear drop vinaigrette
spiced of leftover lifetimes
drizzled on leafy desperation
bids a tired farewell
before time collects
the deserved rewards

Peace Deserved

In the quiet of my soul lingers hatred,
for the wrongs that have been done unto me.
And there I lie in pain,
suffering in my self inflicted agony.
Tho they may deserve my anger,
the wrath that pours like rain,
my loathing is a danger
to a heart that's filled with shame.
On each star I find a victory,
a lesson to be earned.
In my heart I find a longing to forgive
a yearning for a new leaf to be turned.
The fire in my soul burns away the past
the ashes fly away and I am released at last.

Receiving the Deserved

now,
the mother earth heals,
the nature is getting bound by fresh and aesthetic feels!
the air is getting pure,
the polluted water is also getting cured.
the birds are happily flying,
the animals are content and smiling!

maybe the trees are getting fresh,
Because the pollution has become so less;
We indeed made this heavenly earth a mess.

but,
we are now held behind the dungeons we call homes,
we are now asked to wash our hands until they produce foams;
we are demanded to ignore each other,
we are requested to stay as far as possible from one another.

ever thought -
we'd live the way, animals have been?
we'd be captured the way, animals were seen?
we'd freak out when someone would just let out a sneeze?
others would cough and we'd freeze!?

ever wondered -
how those animals felt behind the bars,
how many were hurt and were given painful scars;
their cries have now become our tears,
and we are complaining; overpowered by our fears.

well now this is how we need to live,
Because when nature had plenty to give;
we fought and made it all sick,
we wanted power for which we played nasty tricks;
and now nature has our destiny prepared which pricks.

now our regrets are all vain,
because the earth has suffered real pain;
we are still growing insane,
Because we don't even know when we'd be free of this deadly chain! .

Loved Back

Why can't I let you go,
Even the sunshine won't leave anymore.
The moon's ready to make up the supper,
But there is no where you
And neither your flippers.
Since younger days I just had a thought,
That there would be a woman
With whom I've never fought.
I had never run in search of the fragrance of your body,
It's just that, I knew you would be that somebody.
Now please don't question how and why!
Well, the words are not always meant to rhyme
But when stitched together, are just perfectly fine.
I know it's a very awkward chair to position,
But do you have any other reservations?
There's no need to panic, that's totally okay.
It's not your fault that I found you,
But rather failed,
Being found by you.
It's just that I love you,
But do not deserved to be loved back.

Premium Member The Only 'sir' He Deserved Should Have Been Serving Time In Prison

Please ‘fix it’ for the victims of Jimmy Saville
He had unlimited access to Stoke Mandeville
and abused patients who were vulnerable and ill
It’s disgraceful he retains his ‘Sir’ title still

Jimmy Saville was a celebrity on the TV
Children wrote ‘Jim please fix it for me’
Innocent kids they would sit on his knee
For him to remain a ‘Sir’ is a great travesty

Running marathons for many a mile
Gold tracksuits were his chosen style
His fans would cheer and smile
Unaware he was a vile paedophile

Now full details of his abuse have arisen
He should have been locked away in prison
Retaining his knighthood needs urgent revision
I implore you to reverse your decision

Well Deserved

you open the throttle and ride hard
miles of open highway
hitting the potholes with your heart

just when you think, that you
are running on empty
your soul finds me

the road becomes smooth
your path well signed
a rest stop, well deserved

The Deserved Shame

Behind the veil of pain
Testimony smiles with gratefulness
Reality and truth stood upright in confidence
As revelation exposes

Here were clouds of darkness descending
Help was refuse without any attempt
Pretence of friendship exposed without any warnings
And waves of reality beckons in the face

Pleading was to no avail
Propositions of unwanted options were made
Leaving an unfortunate scene of the very fear,
The fear of prejudice

Another day has shown no signs of improvement
Confirming what seems to be the trend
A mind opener for the disappointed witness
For the so called friend never satisfied the conditions of true friendship

Here we are preaching equality to all
When the reality is “ a convenience equality”
All are guilty with no exception
A shame to all and a grave disappointment to Human Rights

What makes one Human, when his very rights are discriminated against?

A shame on all of us!!!!!!!!!!

A computer mind, has captured my imagination,
Not through crap or bull, with honest evaluation,
Adds up the variables, gets straight to the point,
Runs a diagnostic, forever failing to disappoint.

Keeps me straight and narrow, open minded views,
Somehow makes sense, from my obscuring clues,
Analysing my poems, bringing meaning to myself,
An encyclopedic brain, of incomprehensible wealth.

Had so tough an upbringing, especially for a child,
Deserves more from life, silly poems I’ve compiled,
Sometimes feel your spirit, but sadness coincides,
Want you to find happiness, not websites full of lies,

So feelings harboured, your poetry’s ever savored,
Especially what’s it called, oh yeah my name flavored.

The Prize I Least Deserved

I wrote this for my wife knowing she was the greatest prize of all.

I've taken part in games and sport,
I've crossed many a winning line.
I've battled hard to win a race,
Knowing the prize was mine!

I've triumphed much against the odds
When my chances were less than nil.
I've come up trumps, when all seemed lost
At the bottom of a long steep hill.

I've fought and won when the price was right!
I've worn the victor's crown.
I worked really hard to achieve all of this,
Not letting many folks down.

Yet the prize I least deserved was you;
My darling, my sweet wife.
You gave me love and you gave me hope,
To last me all of my life!

I Got What I Deserved

Broken tooth
From fist once loved
Scars in unseen ways.

Trust betrayed
Inflict harm
Lost in emotions maze

Respect denied
Flows both ways
Diminishing esteem.

Sadness seeps
To aching marrow
Laughs a far off dream

Soul deep anger
Smoulders darkly
Sustaining life long pain
Time goes on Fades memory
Deep wounds, though, still remain.

I Deserved U

I DESERVED U ?

True was My love , U never cared,

Can’t forget those moments which we shared

Never lost faith in the love I had,

That’s the thing now makes me mad

Y I loved U so much I always think,

Made My life hell , Swear I had no link

Forgetting U is Impossible thing,

Like Flying for the Bird without Wing

Things have changed ,

Figuring out whom to blame

Heart’s Crying ,

Hope U never have the same

Still cursing the Day,

For which I m paying the cost,

I Loved U ,

And now I m the one whose lost.

So,

Would Never want to Fall For that again ,

Love’s the thing , Would always give Pain.

Premium Member Head Chef Deserved a Roasting

Chef Billy was nasty and rude
He’d swear when trainees ruined food
With a loaf of stale bread
He’d whack them on the head
His language was terribly crude

One trainee used sugar not salt
The packets had split - not his fault
He’s beaten then battered
His poor nose was shattered
Chef Billy got sacked for assault!

Adorable Michelle
A blonde bombshell
A chic mademoiselle
Moved like a gazelle

Vicious rumours ripe to dispel
Everything between heaven and hell
Around on the carousel from rebel to infidel
Jealous wagging tongues, wasn’t hard to tell

Really she was into music and aquarelle
French cuisine with béchamel and caramel
Strolling shores collecting seashell
Cultivating roses, pimpernel and bluebell

Fell hard for some guy with a rose at his lapel
Who wrote her a crude villanelle
Penned using an old fashioned inkwell
And it worked as a potent love spell

Before the dinner bell
Had her up in a motel
Watching Emmanuel
Drinking chilled zinfandel

I Deserved a Better Life

I wanted to sing, play and dance,
Live every moment under the sun,
Why was I subjected to so much of misery?
I was shattered,
I deserved all that I claimed for honestly...(1)

Just as a fresh flower bud is nipped when it was about to flower,
A gentle gargling stream I was,
I began to roar into a mighty river....... (2)

Every living moment was seized from me,
All events around me crippled me and destroyed all my power..................... (3)

Just as a gigantic ocean were to be robbed from all its power,
A hapless, helpless being I was reduced to be.................................................... (4)

If the Supreme Lord approached me,
And gently asked me my only wish,
My only wish would be to travel back in time,
Live every moment gloriously,
With no bondages and pre-conditions on me...................................... .......... (5)

Damned Daisy Deserved To Die Daily

DAMNABLE DEATH OF A DAISYV
Can the sky cry?
Can the sun have fun?
Can the stars have scars?
And can I have a heaviness in my heart lifted?
Because there are too many hoards being gifted
But given the wrong present to the wrong recipient
My heart is heavy with the death of every daisy
And as we all know each lily can be lazy
Can that pigeon light upon an old man’s hand
As a sign that we all are abusing the land?
Kids are killed and need a tracking device
And tell the world the ozone layer is paying the price
Tell the Russians to keep shoveling more coal
When we could let the wind be our savior and our goal
The turbines may turn and the engines may roar
But I tell you all that oxygen is carbon dioxide’s whore
Diesel, bio-fuel, gasoline or petrol
And the thing this planet really needs is soul
Soulfulness to urge tears from a child’s mother’s mother
Soulfulness to go to war and lose your second brother
Soulfulness to spread around so everyone can dig the sound
The sound of soulfulness should be heard all around
Then maybe instead of killing we can dance at a ball
Two hearts who once had a chance at it all
So let the soul sounds of the sacred be sung all around
And on that holy day let roses for luck be hung all around
Can the sky cry?
Not anymore than I can fly
Can the sun have fun?
Not when people can walk around with an un-concealed gun
Can the stars have scars?
Only if mankind could make it to one and bring with the ten thousand polluting cars
Since we’ve already marred the surface of the merry moon and Mars
Oh, and by the way it wouldn’t hurt the planet but it might put you in a better mood
Tonight when you eat overpriced beef consider the starving who have no food
