Peace Deserved

In the quiet of my soul lingers hatred, for the wrongs that have been done unto me. And there I lie in pain, suffering in my self inflicted agony. Tho they may deserve my anger, the wrath that pours like rain, my loathing is a danger to a heart that's filled with shame. On each star I find a victory, a lesson to be earned. In my heart I find a longing to forgive a yearning for a new leaf to be turned. The fire in my soul burns away the past the ashes fly away and I am released at last.
