Premium Member The Devil He Be a Wandering

The devil, he be a wandering,
Searching for a fool,
Someone easily persuaded,
To come under his rule.

Pride, deceit and unbelief,
Are the tools of his trade,
Planting seeds of fear and doubt,
In the souls that he invades.

The devil, he be a wandering,
Searching for a saint,
A true believer in the Lord,
But one whose faith is faint.

Satan takes great delight
In deceiving God's elect.
He cannot steal their salvation,
But their peace and joy he deflects.

The devil, he be a wandering,
Seeking whom he can devour.
He comes to steal, kill and destroy,
At any given hour.

But Satan is a defeated foe,
Christ sealed his fate on the cross.
Those who stand with Jesus,
Will not suffer loss.

Shifting Frames

The glass once lucid
now deflects glow differently.

A chuckle clenched in the wind,
blanching and flaming.
Where were we?

Footprints echo, retreat, advance
sagging floor, missing nails.

Not long enough--
like a wheeze folding in and out,
a beam of light held in a still moment.

Sagging floor, nails missing,
steps forth, then retreat.
Where were we,
blanching and flaming,
a chuckle loosed in the wind—

now the glass, no longer lucid,
deflects the glow differently.

Premium Member Forgiveness a Noble Mindset

Forgiveness comes not from without,
Rather inward, born of understanding.
It's not an emotion given to shout,
This quiet strength never demanding.

Only a peaceful soul is calm, reflects,
A selfish one a churning rapid, shallow.
Forgiveness cares not for itself, it deflects.
Though pierced by thorns from a rose mallow.

Held close, yet in palms always revealed,
Shared with all without care or malice.
Forgiveness flows freely, never concealed.
Its seeds fell from a wooden cross, a holy chalice.
Forgiveness is the light that cancels dark debt,
As it gives completely,a noble mindset.

Premium Member Overworked Witches

What's a single mom, overworked witch to do?
School potlucks won't suck up fat vats of witch brew
Green goop soup disinfects science projects
Magic wand deflects coupon blonde's rejects

Soccer field congealed, frogs in fish tanks
Your warlock son mocks the jocks with dark pranks
Your daughter barters love potions, your cat's a Clydesdale
Your cauldron is maudlin; no time for witchy cocktails

There's hearses to disperse, fortunes to curse
Restless pests - even witches need a nurse!
You've cobwebs to thread, graves to rake
Sugar greedy goblins to scare straight

No spells to swell your apothecary
Your broomstick's picked other places to be...

World of White and Blue

Sea of blue,
crags of white,
bitter wind,
majestic sight

For this is world of white
and blue
white mountains of ice,
blue sea salty and true

midnight sun on icy wastes,
cool reflected light,
pristine wilderness,
not to everyone's taste

Stark white cold,
wind eroded columns of ice
roar of wind
roar of sky

Icebergs scattered in the blue
raw wind strips me bare,
the environment does not care....
about you.

Sea,sky and ice,
nature's freezing cocktail,
untameable wilderness,
man cannot sacrifice.

Pure elements,
to touch the senses

Inhospitable sea,sky and ice,
its very extremes,
to prevent men of this world
carrying out their dreams

Pure cold energy roaring,
with bitter intent,
gulls soaring,
men......spent

Nature's cold refuge,
from man and his dreams.
White armour protects,temperature deflects,
man's subterfuge

white mountain,
white water,
white wind

Blue sea,
blue sky,
blue wind
world of white and blue

Premium Member The Dance Divine

The dance divine

The dance divine at play,
both reveals and conceals,
cyclic pleasure and pain,
deflects thoughts onto form;
life gift boon, becomes bane.

The dance divine at play,
where the dreamer and dreamed,
both being in truth one,
enter hypnotic trance,
till desires come undone.

The dance divine at play,
if witnessed from our heart,
where energies converge
in singularity,
manifests a bliss surge.

The dance divine at play,
allows soul to ascend,
by free will so choosing
single pointed focus,
God’s grace soul’s sole musing.

Simile Smile

Your eyes brighten, at the side of your lips
Charming bent
How sweet it is like morning sun and love
Joined for engagement
That curve on your cheeks
Is like roses in full bloom
Colorful rainbow above heaven’s
Sky clouds loomed,
Your beauty makes it perfect
Makes it glow, as I say
No words can express how your smile
Made everything, my day,

Your smile is like a star that speaks
To the crescent moon,
Like a beautiful kiss that deflects
The music, so love the tune
Your smile is a supplement
For more joy and happiness,
Like a perfect supplement angle as angel
Drew that on your face,

When there is love,
When there’s a smile from you
Sorrows of problems turned to good vibes of gladness
Like magical incantations, it spells forward
 Straight and hit my senses,
“Smile is a curve that sets everything straight”,
Yes… but yours give me love, affection of faith
Your love makes me smile like jester circuses,
That’s why I want you by my side
With a smile in my heart forever, always

I like your smile my love
You are my smile; your smile is my smile

Premium Member Ensnared

(Another childhood poem.)

Filaments tightly woven,

a chrysalis cradles me,

deflects the dangers;

it is an armored womb,

bright and hard.

Loosely woven,

a web imprisons me;

struggles snare me firmly

in these threads.

What weaves this armor

and this trap?

It is I --

I am the spider,

and the potential

butterfly.

Premium Member An Unfortunate Circumstance

My heart is being held prisoner
In her dungeon of coquettishness
She hasn’t fully rejected me
But my advances she coyly deflects

I haven’t given up all hope
She still smiles at my innuendos
But when I approach for a carnal dance
She just steps all over my toes

My heart is being held prisoner
In the shadows of doubt’s darkness
As if she is waiting for someone better
Before donning her wedding dress

I wish that I could just escape
To pursue another’s full acceptance
But it seems my heart is forever staked
To this unfortunate circumstance

Premium Member Automaton

If in these times we wane or waver
If those who question fall from favor
The consequence could not be graver
obscured is the terrible toll

Manipulation is slow and unseen
Lives controlled by a corrupt machine
when no one remains who dare intervene
Each person just playing their role

Tyranny's voice deflects and maligns
Propaganda alters the minds
The terms of freedom redefined
Automatons robbed of their souls

Premium Member Joke Was On Him

Joke was on him

A lie can perpetuate with a blinding speed
Growing on the heels of shameful greed
If enough people believe a con-man's spiel
And blindly proceed to invest in a dubious deal.

He began quite small with his Ponzi scheme
Stomping ruthlessly on gullible citizen's dream
Pretending that he was investing in stock market
Delivering promised returns regularly on target.

Becoming famous as word of high returns spread
Billions he attracted as testimonials mislead,
Paying current clients from new-client receipts
Manipulating his records to hide his deceits.

Although his company was frequently audited
No one could detect the fraud being committed.
Suspicions ran high for returns were unbelievable,
Authorities were fooled by a fraud inconceivable.

Ponzi scheme thrives on constant new cash flow
As new funds meet outflows that continue to grow,
But it collapses in a hurry if new money stops
For clients demand refunds as the company flops.

A market-crash caused new money to dry out
Bringing to a quick end his fraudulent clout
As he confessed to a multibillion fraud scheme
When finally he realized that the joke was on him.

Investors big and small were caught by surprise
Lives that were ruined continue to agonize.
Soon he was arrested for his long tenure of crime
And sentenced to prison for his remaining lifetime.

His son committed suicide overcome by veracity
As his wife deflects shame in solitude of tenacity.
While he sits in jail for a crime of this century
Grievous losses torment lives due to his treachery.

A fraud only propagates till its ultimate demise
For truth always conquers defeating all lies.

Note: This Ponzi scheme was uncovered after the 2008 market crash. Though the fraudster never invested in the market, new money flow stopped because investors were spooked by the market decline and ensuing recession. He confessed when he couldn't make a multi-billion payment due in 2008. He was sentenced to 150 years in jail. One of his sons committed suicide, the other son died. His brother was also sentenced to jail--all worked for the firm.

Bridge

Secrets of strangers,

a rotating beast of bangers',

a wobbling at least to show how to stumble,

a vanish less half-hat hung from the dread,

it is sonorous because of the angle it deflects,

it is unto us because that's what it says...

More fair than Donavan,
but a little less than he bets,

a sore stretch of vigilance but also a creamy whip from the test.

Writer's Block

What is this strange constipation?
From a man who conducts litigation?
I cannot speak write or think,
my affect is simply to blink.

Like opposed magnets my pen deflects off paper.
My mind sends me IOU's for later.
I am impeded like a stroke.
No help from a joint toke.
La dee da, my friends joke,
'where now is that auteur'?

Not that their taunts make it worse.
I can't produce one line of verse,
nor upon any topic can my mind focus.
The advice on writer's block is all hokus-pokus.

So I must resign.
No muse this time.
but other times I will shine,
and then be closer to my prime.

Premium Member The Born Again Poet

Poetry is a gateway, into a world imaginative and bright.
It however can lose its meaning, when jealousy deflects its light.
Expression can often be judged, by eyes that no longer see.
Don’t be imprisoned by your insecurities, that is not the way to be.

Should a poet be rated and condemned, by thoughts they choose to share?
How many words are lost, when poets no longer dare.
Articulate the beauty around you, or the passion deep down in your soul.
Partake in the poetry soup and never leave with an empty bowl.

Always start with a fresh canvas, share the words whispered from your heart.
Share with those that support you, and even the ones that tear you apart.
Imagine if we showed more love, to each and every peer.
I wonder what new creations, would emerge without any fear.

Marie Lavedette

Marie Lavedette

Let me start this by introducing her name.
Marie Lavedette on a shining star its the same
A women with a smile that can attract any person
And you can easily laugh with her personality with no reason

Allow me to describe her identity
Her hair with a fragrance of the roses in scenery
She's simple like the clouds in the sky
There's a cute determination when you look at her eye

She is Marie Lavedette like a star on a crescent moon
Like a beautiful harmony that deflects the music you will loved the tune.
There's something in her smile i cant even explain
But i think theirs a positive outlook from that you can entertain

They said "Smile is a curved that sets everything straight"
Yes, but her smile gives people love, affection of faith.
And i found out her favorite hobby and ability
And that is sketching different figures of supremacy

She quoted "She's good but she's not an angel
But for me she's more than that level
Her kindness of heart is one of her inside beauty
That makes her a women with a perfect dignity
Another thing she have that every people should admire
Is her compassion on God and her positive desire
A women that is almost perfect and humble.
Marie Lavedette is the best example.

This poem is dedicated to her overall quality
A women with a one of a kind identity
She's a walking garden with a determined mission
To be the star of her dreams in her future vision
