Prince Andrew
Under an eclipsed sun,
your name learned to glitter
without light.
History rarely rushes.
It waits
until silence weakens.
You stood at the edge
where privilege meets inquiry,
where position no longer deflects
the question.
Power educates quietly.
It rewards discretion.
It tempts familiarity.
It dulls caution.
Epstein moved where influence felt routine,
where access passed as normal,
and judgement softened.
China offered proximity—
and proximity asked for trust.
Between confidence and carelessness,
the state’s veil thinned.
What should have remained protected
became discussable.
You were not singular in this.
Power seldom is.
When one figure recedes,
the record persists.
When one voice fades,
others speak through documents.
In daylight, authority remained composed.
In shadow, dependency shaped decisions.
The crowd now asks
what crowns cannot answer:
Are you within the walls,
or already beyond them?
Your brother circles vultures.
You pace among wolves.
The dynasty fades.
Old power fades quietly.
New power arrives without apology.
History is unsentimental.
It does not rescue heirs.
Men ascend by birth.
They fall by choice.
And when the eclipse passes,
only this remains—
The end explains nothing.
It only reveals the means.
