Shifting Frames

The glass once lucid now deflects glow differently. A chuckle clenched in the wind, blanching and flaming. Where were we? Footprints echo, retreat, advance sagging floor, missing nails. Not long enough-- like a wheeze folding in and out, a beam of light held in a still moment. Sagging floor, nails missing, steps forth, then retreat. Where were we, blanching and flaming, a chuckle loosed in the wind— now the glass, no longer lucid, deflects the glow differently.

A great descriptive poem about change and I feel a sense of loss. Well expressed. :)

Yep, the night out, is not always the same as morning reflection -- which do we treasure more? A warped fondness for even many of my mistakes -- I say, don't eat one's own heart. You get a FAV! Great poetry!

Thank you so much! I love how you reflect on the contrast between night and morning, and how even our mistakes can hold a strange kind of fondness. Your words add a thoughtful layer to the poetry. Really appreciate the FAV and your kind support!

Great poem about time passing and changes inherent to nature. Memory, loss, and the fleeting character of life are among the topics you tackle nicely here.
