Best Dark Side Of The Moon Poems
My darling
Time is no longer on our side
Since your car crash we have no money
For you are no longer able to work
If I can’t find a job I may have to go on the run
The debts are piling up so high they almost reach the sky
Brain damage has taken its toll on you
I wish you were able to speak to me
But all as long as you can still breathe …
That is the most important thing
I still visit you every day
Talking to you about our once happy life
Trying to jog your memory
Do you remember the time we saw the total eclipse
Together we saw the dark side of the moon
Oh what memories it conjures up
Don’t give up the fight
It’s not your time to go to the great gig in the sky
Babe, its you and me not us and them
If you should leave me my darling
I will remember your request …
No black at your funeral
You said wear any colour you like
No matter what happens I will love your forever

Bitter, the taste of tears on your color less cheeks, breathe,
reality on the run hurts worse than the insane damage of
any words thrown in hatred; let my crooning eclipse you,
insolate you, like a halo on an angel. “Speak to me of us,
nevermind, the money and the great gig in the sky or them."
B itter, THE taste of tears on your COLOR less cheeks, BREATHE,
R eality ON THE RUN hurts worse than the insane DAMAGE of
A NY words thrown in hatred, let my crooning ECLIPSE YOU,
I nsolate you, LIKE a halo on an angel “SPEAK TO ME of US.
N evermind, the MONEY AND the GREAT GIG IN THE SKY or THEM."

The Dark Side of the Moon
I don't mind living alone on the dark side of the moon
if it will keep me from feeling the pain of another wound.
These cold November skies have brought all sins to light.
I need a hiding place where each moment is dark as night.
I will always love you, but my darling, please let me go.
Before I kiss you one last time, I want to let you know
if you ever find the courage to finally set yourself free
look on the dark side of the moon. That's where I'll be.
Above a ridge, knowing not how on
some parcel of a lucent dome, we meander
to breathe in the vapor of moonlight ,
gently burying her crown upon breasts of valleys
endowing a lush ritual: the great gig in the sky...
of trees rustling in a prance, of a wind
cascading unto a Celtic musicale,
glossy lips of dandelions that speak
to me through you, whisking our laughter
on the run so mellow in autumn’s new eclipse.
Even when jewelled stars play-- between us
and them—our glides become faster,
that the world heaves with us,
open to love’s charm undefined by time...
how we spill into a hundred portraits
borne from an unrelenting joy which hours
or money cannot buy...then forgetting what
ancient tales have revealed : the heart with fiery
ardour causes brain damage...going, going, gone!
Looking up, I hear you whisper, “ Touch
any color you want,” as hues change from
apricot to orange. Yet before pointing to the sky,
bold moonlight hides, allowing us to defrock
warm kisses under her gently dark silhouette.

Titles: Speak to Me/ Breathe, On the Run,
Time, The Great Gig in the Sky, Money,
Us and Them, Any Color You Like,
Brain Damage, Eclipse
I'm on the "lam", I'm on the run
Stole MONEY from a "son of a gun"
I grew up poor, it was US AND THEM
I did my TIME, won't do it again.
If I get caught, I'd rather die,
I'll gladly join THE GREAT GIG IN THE SKY
Maybe I'll see THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON
and have no more worries, it could be soon.
I got caught during a solar ECLIPSE
I made a move, they shot me quick
into my skull, my eyes saw white
Then I could see ANY COLOR YOU LIKE.
I couldn't BREATHE, someone said, "SPEAK TO ME"
I heard sweet music, I felt light and free
While I lay dying, I could just manage
to say, "So long", even with BRAIN DAMAGE.

On the Dark Side Of The Moon tonight
~Time ~seems to stand quite still
Paint it ~Any Color You Like~
Black perception the feel
~Money~ runs the hospital game
So why bother to live
Let me join ~The Great Gig In The Sky~
And the horror not relive
During a full lunar ~Eclipse~
It was just ~Us And Them~
~On The Run~ to the ~Dark Side Of The Moon~
~Brain Damage~ only the stem
~Money~ runs the hospital game
So why bother to live
Let me join ~The Great Gig In The Sky~
And the horror not relive
~Speak To Me/Breathe~ don't end it this way
The ~Eclipse~ will end soon
And there'll be light; bright, bright lights
~Any Color You Like~strewn
There'll be ~Any Color You Like~ just hang on

I bask in your love
your warm and heated air blows softly upon my ear lobe
"My ear ring is gone as you choke and gasp for breath"
Your fingers glide slowly down my legs
your mouth so close I can feel your lips that are so direct
"Making my knee jerk hitting your mouth causing you to loose your breath"
A soft but vigorous kiss
upon my shoulder as your fingers in twine and caress
"Shavings not my thing tickling your nose down the throat it goes as you gage and pant"
Now sitting alone upon my bed
as I watch you dress in despair with a face of dread
"You flee with such speed huffing and puffing while trying to catch your breath"
Alone again with darkness all around with only the moon to shine
I listen to Pink Floyd with tears I'll cry
"The second man I've made run like a rabbit runs.

Now speak to me my heart and urge me forth
in marching beat my lungs to breathe the air;
too few the years contracted to a span
'ere time and days decline as sun set fair.
My swaddling now become a thinning shroud
a cloak for the great big gig in the sky;
what money may be clutched by lifeless hands
were it enough in Heaven my soul to buy.
Too late, too often, it was us and them
at odds with comrades ere the war begin;
any colour you like we’re all the same
beneath the crust all flesh is kith and kin.
Too late, my road led to delusions door
and beckoned my brain damaged 'ere the moon
reveal her hidden shade to howling wolf,
or there confess the secrets of the rune.
Our ending then we cannot hope to shape
and gaze not far at what you cannot see;
search not for light astern earth’s satellite
eclipsing her the Sun will valiant be.

What lies on the dark side of the moon
Do beings exist in a magical commune
Since time began
Since the dawn of man
This mystery has puzzled us from our worldly cocoon
Nightfall in the city
As the moon appears in the night sky
City dwellers are either having a drink
or are off to dreamland
On the other side of the moon
Someone is waiting, waiting for the
earth to revolve again
Can't you see we are being watched?
Cold eyes from space
peer out at
the fragile inhabitants of our planet
Our fate does not lie within our grasp
Soon the masters will reveal themselves
From the lunar landscape
comes our only hope
It is really a shot in the dark
But it is our best chance of
humanity remaining on earth
until the next millenium rolls around
Moon! Oh dear Moon! Shining in the sky,
My how I have missed you as slowly months drag by!
I feel so colored, fake, and bound, down here on Earth below.
There's nothing wrong with color, dear, though blackness I love so.
It's really, simply rather weird to plod about the place,
And walk in mud and grass and waves
Where there is no "forever trace".
The cold wind whips around me and the people stare so much...
I sometimes feel the surrounding forces will make me need a crutch.
People drag you downward, gravity is harsh,
My poor soul barely withstands the strain,
And my being is all but crushed.
I hate it here dear Moony.
I hate that I complain.
I simply cannot help it,
My false happiness is in vain.
On the dark side of the moon,
I wonder what lies in our close proximity,
Will it hold forces wrapped in stellar cocoons?
Strange creatures of anonymity?
Who knows what we will find,
Strange spiritual entities,
Our race just cannot intellectually rend,
Or just structures with no identity?
Maybe just a race with no severity?
With no potential harm to our future?
Or another species further along in evolutional reality,
Than we could ever mentally picture?
It truly is a terrifying yet exciting thing to imagine,
Hopefully it will be something we can fathom.
What lies on the dark side of the moon
Do beings exist in a magical commune
Since time began
Since the dawn of man
It's really puzzled us from our wobbly cocoon
Light side of the sun or Dark side of the moon
Speak to me.
It's our chance to be free.
No longer on the run.
The clock has stopped.
Our time has arrived.
Great music is what the world's deprived.
For once in our life we don't have to lie.
We're playing the Great gig in the sky.
The obligation for money has died.
Its us and them, but who gets left behind?
We're any color you like, when your color blind.
Is everything managed, when your brain damaged? or nothing at all.
The eclipse is here, time to stand tall.
And all that has come
will eventually fall.
But the sun is eclipsed by the moon.
Sadly this time it ends with no tune.
