The Dark Side of the Moon

The dark side of the moon, like earth?
Carefully shadows will appear; surface.
Each new discovery’s like a baby’s birth.
Astronauts alight with mysteries to erase.

The dark side of the moon; negative space.
Its quarters and crescents mingle with stars.
Lovers still arm in arm; with a tighter embrace.
In love, one day, will be considered “over Mars.”

The dark side of the moon gives no cures; ills.
But you never know if the answer for cancer
Is in the crater’s depths or on the black hills.
One bright night will behemoths rescind; a blur?

If, indeed, the answer for cancer is in the craters or on the hills of the moon, I demand that the American Cancer Society disband!

I agree! Perhaps they keep the cure from us? They make too much money from cancer.

Dear Kim, my first thought was Pink Floyd. :) then I felt myself wandering the moon’s hidden side with a pocketful of questions, science, wonder, and a little human longing all braided together. I love how you let mystery stay mystery, yet still hint at cures, lovers, and cosmic possibilities tucked in those craters. Our wondrous curiosity holding a lantern up to the dark. Amen! Blessings, Daniel

Exactly like Earth, it rotates, therefore, there is no dark side, yet poetically it works wanderlustly. Kimmy Pink Floyd coined it, Nasa won't use it, they say farside. Just a fun fact. We'll soon find out the cure, the Bible says we will know all the answers, yet it'll be too late! Love this, the Artemis ll will be landing in San Diego tomorrow morn~

Fascinating, no longer science fiction. Next mars but it is even more inhospitable, far too much radiation to survive for long. Crazy to think it could be made habitable again. Better moons out there. Roosevelt Hospital has had some remarkable results with new form of old treatment. Really incredible...could be a game changer when it comes to the treatment and cure of cancer.

Dark side, light side. I'd search any side to find a cure for C. Nicely written, Kim. Hugs
