Motherland…
I am a desert, barren and hot.
Hoping for the rain, which I forgot.
Once, I was green, golden, and bright.
Nightingales singing night after night.
My fresh breeze at dawn was ever nice,
Showered me blossoms like paradise.
Year after year, I dressed up in green.
Green and reddish with white in between.
Until I became older than old,
All I have now is darkness and cold.
I lost all of my glory and youth,
Hope death is not the end or the truth.
I had so many kings that were tall,
Now, I am filled with filth that they crawl.
Tired of being a desert that’s old,
Thousands and thousands of years to be told.
Cyrus and Darius lived within me.
Now I am barren; how could it be?
I am now desert far from the sea;
They burned my soul so no one can see.
Empty and lonely, thirsty and dry,
hope for the rain and generous sky.
Hope for someone to answer my cry,
Wash up my tears, and don’t let me die.
I need a hero like the old times,
Come and wash me from all the crimes.
Come to me, my love, my lovely rain,
shower me with love, get rid of pain.
If you come back and shower me, fine
promise I give you, I'll drink your wine.
For me, rain is love; love is my life.
To live without love is endless strife.
I want to become a jungle of love,
making love and being free as a dove.
I am now dying, dying of thirst,
Hope for a drizzle; first thing is first.

Note: Motherland is Iran, the birthplace of civilizations, a country with thousands of years of history. In the past forty years, there is a great tension between the government of Iran and the United States. This tension has escalated recently to the point of an imminent war between the two countries. The people in Iran are suffering from an authoritarian government on one side and sanctions and pressure on the other. This humble piece is written to give you the understanding that under a millimeter of skin, we’re all the same, the same humans, and humanities are the same regardless of religion, culture, and geographical background.
Daniel In the Lion’s Den
Daniel was one of three administrators
Who ruled over 120 satraps
Appointed by King Darius
Who agreed to important edicts
One of these edicts
Was a public decree
That no worship was possible
Unless to Darius on bended knee
So when Daniel was found
To pray three times per day
To his God in heaven
As a crime was portrayed
So reluctantly King Darius
Ordered Daniel to the lions’ den
But God sent an angel
To close the lions’ mouths again and again.
At the first light of dawn
The King called to Daniel in anguish
For he hadn’t slept all night
He feared that Daniel would perish
But when Daniel told him
“Not one lion has harmed me”
The King was overjoyed that Daniel’s God
Preserved Daniel to be set free.
Those who had falsely accused Daniel
Were thrown to the lions instead
The king and his subjects were ordered to worship
Daniel’s God as their head
What a mighty witness
To a pagan king
Daniel trusted his God
Through this trial he'd bring.

Gov'ners were jealous and zealous the satraps -
One had received uncalled-for promotion.
With design to malign, these guys enacted
a divine trap for this fella's devotions.
"Accept this new law," they said, "Except to you,
O Great King, no petitions can be uttered."
A crusade to degrade, they watched Dan's window,
As he stepped up and prayed, boldly un-shuttered.
Their wily ruse worked and while he was kneeling,
they trotted off to the king and tattled.
Daniel was content to be pent up with lions,
but King Darius spent the night rattled.
Unarmed and unharmed, Dan stayed with the beasts.
In the morning, the king raced to the hole.
The lions in a daze; sudden praise he spoke,
"I'm amazed, God has delivered you whole."
Hear futile complaints among brutal beasts;
Officials are punished with fear and trembling.
They take a fair turn in the lair as ordered
God takes care of revenge for dissembling.
(dissembling means misleading)
based on the account in Daniel 6:1-24
to accompany the painting by Briton Riviere, Daniel's Answer to the King,
it seems Daniel continues to pray to his God inside the lion's den
In the Midst of Chaos, There Must be Peace
Within all debating, fighting, hating, and an act of mayhem. There must be peace. Peace just the word alone gives people with no hope, hope.
Dreams of better days to come. Some crumble at the mere thought of peace.
Some fear the shear release of something so powerful, so overwhelming. The point of people getting alone seems to be utter chaos.
The madness of instituting drama, rage, hurt, and pain. Others will love for you to sustain in that place of anguish. Viewing you dancing in the rain, but not of joy. Just to watch another and another destroy all that may be just. Lost land, loss of money and trust, but what about a loss of one's self. The lost that brings on chaos, the sickness, and madness. The lost that dwells and swells to the top, but makes its way to show your reflection. Just a ripple in time, where we all should want more. Not for a day, not for a second, but for the thought of knowing that its possible. Possible to curve the hatred, possible to know, you can control the way things turn out and the way they escalate. Try peace over madness and embrace the things that you would truly want out of life, everlasting.

We are always being tested in today's society
all through out our life from kindergarten to university
At one time there were certain individuals in positions of authority
who were envious of a man named Daniel, one of God's prodigies
they went to King Darius one day with plans of their undercover grudge
unaware that the name Daniel means "God is my judge"
they wanted the king to enact a law and sign some kind of decree
where no one could give homage to anyone but the king's sovereignty
they knew that Daniel was an obedient, a righteous and Christian man
who daily worshipped and glorified God, a true believer of the master's plan
unaware of the new law, Daniel continued to pray and honor The Lord Christ
and as a result he was arrested and tested and the test was his very life
Daniel who always stood alone, he passed the test and by God was approved
he survived an evening in the lion's den, all night untouched and unmoved
he was shown approved because of his unwavering faith in The Lord God
a favorite son with a righteous hope contained within his heart
It matters not the types of situations in life that you are currently going through
trust in God, have no fear and let the blood of Jesus cover you
for God is the one true Judge, make His approval your daily quest
so study His word, do your homework and pray you will pass the test
Be aware of your weaknesses, be aware of your strengths
and be aware of the Living Gospel
be a true believer, possess great faith
and trust in God to do the impossible
for the adversary is always working,
attempting to pull you down
don't allow it to interfere
just remember you're standing on God's solid ground
In the lion's den surrounded by flesh eating carnivores in plain sight
God sent His guardian angels to watch over Daniel all through the night
In the face of evil Daniel remained untouched and unmoved
tried and tested by mere men, but by God was shown approved
Waves of Opal Nights
May appear to be real, but the deal that once was sealed is unfinished and untouched.
Clutched by one's eyes of what you truly want to see, but left with this mirage; this montage of innocence.
Remorse has no place within these shark-infested waters.
Slaughtered, by the words that cut so deep. Sleep on the cold steep steels of woods keep.
Shaded, jaded yet aided by those, that were dismissed.
Sealed with a kiss, as lies forever build and your soul dies a little more, from each passing puff.
Is it enough?
How long can you, should you, or would you keep, this forged emotion going?
Not showing, any of what is hidden. Just maybe, when it all sinks with unbroken chain linked feet and hands into obscurity. Purity has no security with such inadequacy of things written. Forbidden to care or dream about things that once was us. Faded, within the moments of time. When the wind chimes its broken song of dismay. Left to lay in a distant future, far far away.

Daniel, a man who loved to pray
despite the law to worship Darius as King
would not be moved from His sovereign
faithful He was standing on to bring
Three times every day Daniel prayed
giving thanks to God for HIs goodness
this news was told to the King
forcing the Kings' hand ultimately to press
The King was much distressed concerning Daniel
He sought to rescue him but had to act by law
so the King spoke, Daniel may your God deliver you
then went to His palace fasting, no sleep he saw
Early the next day the King went to see
crying to Daniel has God delivered you?
Daniel spoke of God's angel came to help
closed the lion's mouth fast shut so to do
Daniel's God is the living true God
enduring always for never to end
in heaven and earth works wonders and signs
saving Daniel from the plight of the lion's den
( THis is written looking at the plight of Daniel being in the Lion's den, showing his faith in trusting in God through it all.)

Nothing of the foisoning ageold homegrownwine
strained through Ol’ Kayyam’s ever draining ruba’iyat bowl
keeps vigil in their scelerosed veins
I will slap this officious reason
In the face with wine in hand
Who so bold to slap sense into the buttressed elus
But those drunk with common insolence sense
Darius the First built a confining wall
around the Greco-Roman Empire’s eastern front
a first wall of self-will
Gengiz Khan tore it down with his sabersharp teeth
after climbing deftly through the David Copperfield hole
in the Great Wall
See how Mao stemmed the tide with his Long March
Only to wall in his Zhong Guo
An Asia within an Asia
The Central Asian Crown
to be propped up again either by vassal states
or by tribute offering nations in return for health-giving largesse
while tough little Viets struggled without wailing on bare feet
to sling the Twentieth Century’s Goldorak down to an ignominious fall
while those that weep after twenty lost centuries at their Wailing Wall
wall their brethren in a closely policed jail
wailing at every television reprisal performance
their insecure un-Godly fate in the dead sea of faiths
at the bare hands of suicidal wall breakers
hemmed in around their waists
like those fencesitters
the Greater East Asia
Prosperity builders who
let MacArthur gird them behind an Ocean Wall
silent superior-thinking men and women
unable to wish their neighbours bonjour
even after the unhealed unhealing wounds inflicted
by kamikaze samurais
walled in behind obsequious bending backs
and mechanical smiling faces
What brews in quiet what festers in stealth
Asia’s white master race
a Botha-deemed non-apartheid equal
ONE of the seven rulers of this world

Loves Definite
An intense feeling of deep affection
Love
Love is depicted in so many ways.
We say love and share this love, in ways that seem forbidden or hidden.
Laced in secrecy, sometimes it seems foreign.
Mistreated, misunderstood and abused. This pain amuses no one, which is unforgivable. Yet, we still want it...Love, we still yearn for it ...Love. Scream from the rooftop L.O.V.E!
Love feels great, making you warm, weak and sometimes drives you insane, and again we still want it to remain. Love makes you want to cherish every moment with that someone or something. Love makes it hard to let go. When you know you should, but we continue to want to fight for it. The power of love can burn a hole in your chest and eat away at your heart. When love leaves you abandon, after playing its tricks and games. This thing called love, can leave you feeling empty inside, but can also give you a forgiven and merciful heart.
Start there, when trying to heal, when love has dealt you a low blow. Love can also make you believe in the power of self-preservation, self-healing, and self-motivation. To know that you are loved, no mater the loveless souls of others.
True love will pull you through when at you’re lowest. You begin to see the reward of failing. Achieving the strength to move onward and embrace love, when it truly presents itself. That true love is everlasting, which places a smile on your face and caresses your tears that may fall from your eyes with joy.
You see love will shine no mater, the hurt and pain. Which loving yourself unconditionally and then let your love shine through all wickedness and deceit?
Don’t take love for granted, embrace and let it grow from within, no matter the outcome. Just remember, if it's true, your heart and love will always weather the storm.

Hello,
Feelings of danger, just borderline from being a stranger. Wrapped with an emotional slice of anger.
When does it all stop? Popping tops , listening day after day, as the gun goes pop.
Knocks at the door; screams in the streets.
Heat rains down upon your head and feet. Wondering could you be here? Right this minute, in the now, or just my imagination lost, instead.
Dread the future, not knowing what it has in store.
Close narrow minded thinking, leaves you guessing, whats next behind the door.
Processing the urge to live free, even within the worse conditions.
These cruel intentions, that you forgot to mention. Full blown repartitions misleading contradictions, of others lone finger.
Linger in and out of consciousness, dazed, blazed and no longer amazed; lost in this mascaraed of slumber. Bearing witness to the things, that you think are true. When only escaping the pleasantry of times cracked view.
Hello, and you are?
Darius 1/13/17
King Philip his father engaged a new teacher
When Alexander turned thirteen.
Aristotle the greatest mind of his time
Gave Alexander his taste for the unforeseen.
Alexander dreamed of a one world empire
Held together by one king and tradition.
After his father was murdered by rivals
He ruled in his place with conviction.
Philip’s death caused conquered kingdoms to rebel
And for next two years Alexander forced them to concede.
The huge Persian Empire of King Darius III
Posed the greatest threat to Greeks and their creed.
The Persian cavalry numbered over forty thousand
Plus one million foot soldiers with weapons and shield.
Alexander’s troops numbered thirty thousand on the ground
Along side five thousand horsemen who dominated the field.
Alexander practiced many new methods of war
One of his most effective was called the siege train.
Several high towers would be rolled up to city walls on wheels
From which defenders were overwhelmed and slain.
He developed mechanical machines of death
Catapults, which hurled fifty pound stones.
Large arrows and burning balls of fire
Smashing walls, buildings and bones.
Soon Alexander fulfilled his prophecy
Sitting on the golden throne of Persian kings.
Possessing great treasures from conquered lands
Though his greatest need was conquest not things.
Alexander, king of Asia, would not be satisfied
His ambition and ego denied him rest.
He decided to march his armies to India
Putting the Rajahs armies and elephants to test.
The huge beasts, which were unknown in Europe
Frightened Alexander’s men at the start.
In spite of their fear disciplined prevailed
As Greek spears tore holes in their heart.
Exhausted by years of hardship and battle.
His men refused to go on and Alexander gave in.
Disease, thirst, and hunger were their constant companions
From the time they left Greece till they were home again.
Alexander was physically and emotionally sick
To the point of becoming critically ill.
He died in Babylon at thirty-two
King of prophecies he pledged to fulfill.
Hidden Agenda
Fighting hard to maintain
Instigating while, hesitating on that last breath, on that last breeze.
Taking all things with ease
Thought of as a dream lost in a tease
Staring in to the depth of the night skies
Where there is no time for disguise or sleep
Man eyes creep, others crawl.
How steep is the climb.
Sublime is how it felt when moving in stealth, chasing the dream of wealth
Flying high above the clouds, like a trustee of adjudication.
Encompassed by that fascination of procrastination when falling to the ground in defeat. Please, place a blockade on this terror. Lost souls, but still so much to gain.
Slain in its rapture of pain. Wondering was it all left to chance or lost in vain.
Hidden in plain visual sense. Now lets commence and forget about the suspense.
It's here!

Destiny demands that we be the debtor
that we sacrafice for the skin of our future,
We left the cradle of the Caucasuses to explore,
to plant the dreams of our Creator,
venturing into the virgin chaos
where the tiger tears apart the trespasser
We made the way, we made love with our Cause,
following the highway of the emerald pasture
from the Euxine to the shimmer of the Yellow Sea
finding war and wealth in the weight of adventure
subduing savages with frightening ferocity
managing frontiers with a proud mercy,
leaving behind our blood's legacy
trading safety for salt, vanity for victory,
Trading safety for salt, vanity for victory
coming home to the Black Sea
introducing steel smelting and a taste for head hunting,
scalping Cimmerians with glee
assailing the Assyrians
extorting Egyptians
respected by Hellenes
dominating Asiatic Indians
cabletowing Celts
and pouncing on Persians,
Phoenicians filled their boats
with exotic Scythian goods,
We were collectors of civilised throats,
our empire needs no roads
Our empire needs no roads,
Saka, Sauromatae, Massagatae, Tocharians, Scythians
We are One, ancient craftsmen and warlords,
our women were the Amazons
Cauterized breast and soldier slayers
Tomyris taught Cyrus
that bloodbaths belong to the losers,
the Scythian wilderness of war jeered Darius,
Zopyrion was made carrion
Alexander wisely just carried on,
to the Romans we were Sarmatian and Hun
Scythes being ancestors to the Gothic Confederation,
a culture canvassing the breadth of all civilization
migrating ever westward into the echo of the sun,
Migrating ever westward into the echo of the sun
bringing our wagons, warcraft, and women
custom of the blood oath quietly open
the wine, and honest blood spun
the two of us swearing in between a lifelong stare
will you be there
when I'm scared,
will you care
when death is there,
will you wait for me
when the war barks near,
will you honor me
when the fire becomes just a whisper,
our oath is our soul keeping

Illusion of Intrusion
The illusion laced with confusion how, so many think they know, only too get lost in the hunt for the perception of ease.
Please, the one that matters most.
Protect and hold your true feelings close, while taking another dose.
Only to brag and boast, giving a toast to the night air, to stare. Wondering is anything ever fair.
Yet, you find yourself still ready to declare sentiments, for those that are no longer there.
Now, it's just an unsettling feeling of lust. Whispering those words, who do you trust?
Denying the things that unfold, behold the things that have turned cold. This intrusion; this illusion of truth, that has left you bitter, with one night stands. Sadness falls, wasteful is the game.
Shame, when there are more losers than winners. Leaving things the same way you arrived.
Survived, when taking aim at ones heart, where all things start and shall remain.
Encompassed by the wants and needs.
Freed to take heed of all adversity, even when stricken with uncertainty. University of clarity, which has risen within view, to pursue that which is real. Instilling that which is faith, hate when there was doubt. Hope when there was pain. Love still remained, embedded within these veins.
