These green and isolate continents,
set apart by oceans slick as glass,
post signs on high escarpments
to warn ships, sailors -- and loves that pass --
of seeming permanence, often met:
though earth seem solid and free from rift,
please beware of continental drift.

Because he could not get another team to relocate,
an entire new league was what he and others would formulate.
The Continental League was the result of ambitious dreams.
The league was to consist of eight different teams.
Cities represented were New York, Houston, and Minneapolis.
Others were Atlanta, Buffalo, Toronto, Denver, and Dallas.
An unprecedented huge undertaking had begun.
The teams were to begin playing in 1961.
This action was disfavored by the Major Leagues of Baseball.
Crucial moves had to be executed to stop it all.
Expansion plans by the National and American Leagues were announced.
As a result, the proposed Continental League was trounced.
However, William Shea and others got an expansion team.
The formation of the New York Mets fulfilled a dream.
Therefore, the Continental League ceased before pitching their first ball.
Expansion to new cities came because of it all.

Business has been a little slow
But my wife really wanted to go out to eat,
wanted to go for a real treat,
Started to worry, become a little mental
My wife wanted to go the club continental
Then I felt a little frustration
So I took her out to the local bus station
Think of elsewhere
where the day
has grown old
perhaps with a remembrance
of what has trespassed
concerning what now goes
throughout these hours here.
Now what does it fit
to cry by uprooting trees
or cry by wrong paintings
or cry by a wrong directives
or even cry by whims
and caprices of abyssimal
or in fact even wrongly cry
oh! later you may
swallow it a going.
Well it's Summer again
Let's vacation my friend
Tell me, where should we go?
If you swear not to tell
I hear Greenland's for sale
