Premium Member My Path

If to be a winner, I must first suck up,
Then instead, I will gladly lose.
If to gain popularity means kissing butt,
Then a path alone I will seek and choose.

If to climb the ladder is scoring brownie points,
Then a different ladder I will choose to seek,
A ladder where is required integrity and virtue
And having such will not get me treated like a freak.

I will not blindly follow along the path of others,
On the path of least resistance the majority on, trod;
Where the path accepts, condones lesser traits
And where I'll be led away from the Lord, my God.

The ridicule of humans, the whispers behind my back,
Will not a bloody difference to me ever make
Nor tempt me to change my course of direction,
Knowing the path well traveled also hosts the fake.

When one has experienced the dishonesty of others,
The betrayal by many and lack of trustworthiness,
The superficial charm of wolves dressed as sheep,
One then seeks to avoid all such human shallowness.

My Path in life has been a tough row to hoe,
With many wishing I would fail all along the way,
But all's given me strength and courage to persevere
And tremendous insight that in my poetry I portray.

If by a 'muse' I am directed, then my Muse is God,
For it is He who has Gifted me, therefore is deserving
Of my praise, appreciation, my deepest gratitude
And through it all He Loves me, while humans are reserving.

The truth may not be
what it seems,
when wry words
penetrate innocent
minds and classic
flora
like sweet hemlock,
waits with a secret agenda.
 “A labyrinth of schizophrenic
evil of a mind
about to begin”

Take the Pyramids of Egypt
a wondrous sight for all,
who cares about the mayhem
aimless spirits forever to waul

In the throes of womanhood
Delilah! She didn’t really care,
betrayed the local superstar
skillfully removing his hair.

Oration to fool all nations
many lifetimes of deceit,
sacred music tuned into tears
gullible folk a joy to cheat!

Children abused constantly
each atrocity fuels the seed,
for are they not the lambs of God
That condones this very deed?

Young men, emulator of “Hollywood”
Off to war as God-fearing men.
Someone knew Iraq’s secret
deep within valley, hill and fen?

For a hundred years the baron
introduced a most healthful threat,
wrapped around golden Virginian
to help the national debt!

Speech impaired by amber waters
lifelong snares within the hop,
mountains moved to accompany it
so to appease them on the Kop!

Beware you all upon this planet
the greatest threat well down the track,
industrial revolution
empathy disguised a whole new tack..!

Premium Member Not Like Chamberlain

The war to end all wars was a vain hope.
When men seek for power to subdue,
Wanting to reign supreme and dominate,
Is it possible to yield and exist
As fearful servants of a tyrant, whose
Sole aims are conquest, cruelty and control?

Not seeing now the enemies’ faces
As in distant days of sword and shield,
New weapons are indiscriminately
Scattered on civilian populations.

So how can we resist except by force
While selfish men continue in their way
To trap and oppress, to connive and kill,
Saddam, Gadaffi, Hitler and many more?

Yes, how shall it be if not by standing firm,
Fighting against them and their tyranny?
To do nothing condones their evil deeds,
A piece of paper for the soul of man,
Appeasement coerced through desperation.
Not peace in our time, not like Chamberlain.

Premium Member The Time In Between Seasons

time between seasons passes slow

Impatient we are as leaf buds grow
Carefree summer takes her time
A sudden chill - unwanted snow
As slowly the sun begins to climb

time between seasons passes slow

Crocuses bloom announcing Snowdrops
Daffodils come as a sudden surprise
Azaleas flower as bright as lollipops
Forsythias glow like a golden sunrise

time between seasons passes slow

Idle leaves deepen in rustic tones
Sun fires the chameleon call of fall
Scent of smoke - autumn chill condones
All is golden to enthrall

time between seasons passes slow

No longer remote winter blasts its way
Its beauty - snow on coal dark wood
Compensates for days of gray
As if somehow it could make good.

A Hymn To Love

how come this fairness possesses such deeds
what a ruthless act thy heart did commit
for once I blundered and to thee I plead
bending words covering my shredded wit
appealing to the stubborn heart of thine
my unconscious mind hanging by a thread
that wrath from fairness will somehow decline
this age of prejudice thou will undid
for love condones faults to which hearts abide
and perceives lies from a different view
and love triumphs where all reason subside
making sense when our misfits are through
prey on the weak and the filthy sublime
but render lost hearts buried out of time

SILENCE CONDONES DU & DRONES

McEmpire's
Dollar menu
Serves up fast kills -
Who pays the bills?
Spent uran'yum? -
Small watts; big ill.
To store, or $ell?
Makes heavy shell.
Blasts through walls well.
Recycled hell.
Deployed now, $well!

The order's passed:
Deep fried dark ass.
The searing flash,
Such menu class:
Crispy critters!
Some sauce? Must ask.
Breathe toxic gas.
Eat here? To go?
Death swift, then slow.

Too late to know
the drift; winds blow
a deadly flow,
through lungs, where go
the silent blows
to genes, thus sown
such seeds of woe.
Fallujahns know.

War profits grow,
Health defects show.
Yet who will know
how was bestowed
this plague of glow?
With press in tow;
Truth's shaft - sans bow.
Sick Vets soon go
Six feet below -
More graves to mow.
Their health care dough
Drops to ZERO!

Life's value: Low.
We watch the show;
Lost in the flow -
To war we go,
So few say: NO!
Safe status quo
Lets madness grow.
This shadow foe
Strikes deep its blow.
We've sunk so low.
We make no row.
No threat we pose
To leaders, those
Who send the drones
that bomb the homes
In target zones.
Crushed fam'lies moan.
While killer clones
Just count scorched bones.
Silence Condones!

Trumpet the ethos of these wading warriors with the hollowed bones
of their panygeric prophets, resonating triumphant tones,
to forever honor, protect,& perpetuate the valor, virtue,& victory of this Holy Order,
the irridescent echo seeps from their Father's tombs,
for what extent shall I blaze myself and minions in the arrows path,
so to coddle an intangible hope made of a prayer's dope,
or in a mind where a prevailing vision roams,
nay, to avert that macbre nightmare of having my People's progeny becoming the pigmy
of a teething tyrant who condones the perversion of civilization's tomes,
a coalesced consciousness consummated by the last bastion
with a vigorous vigil on this Christmas Eve,
solemn and sacramental the emotion is which this of our hearts
the Almighty exhumes,

A dispatched soldier ploying as scout, remote, waiting ignorantly to be smote,
a far but not forgotten armored satellite being selfless,
his vanity enemy's threat consumes,
an unbridled but composed offensive of a triplicate terror delivered
by an indefatigable knight ,
an ultimatum presented simply but also strictly,
one at least his assault maroons,

Echoing Storm

by Michaelw1two

 Thought, how resounding it is,
 now that everyone is thinking
 mentation drums as mantra,
 at once each considers linking
 reason deemed illogical,
 blessed now with national rethinking
 purpose gathered within this storm,
 save our lives from sinking.

 Political misdirection's blind US,
to the nature of this assault
 improprieties pervade the eye,
 as it strengthens through default
weaken do the knees of all,
as guile and greed reign to a fault
 freedom bled of denotation,
 becomes a society’s burial vault.

Dedication to the sphere of peace,
 abandons favor of our time
 replacing is freedom's abdomen,
ruining goodwill whilst in its prime
 boasting blubbering fuels the wind,
 infuriating is its rapid climb
 rhetoric barbs of poison fear,
drive weak minds to morbid crimes.

 Echoes of peace, goodwill, morality,
 vanish in this swirling beast
 accrue does this wickedness,
as we are whipped until deceased
 social clime succumbs to hate,
 common people soon are fleeced
 timorousness rules the moment,
result, the best become the least.

 Asleep have become the masses,
as the few control life’s flow
 living sliced to minimal pieces,
at once in chorus all say whoa!
 condones in wild shrieking howls,
 even life can’t clear escrow
 extinction now approaching,
our doom delivered quid pro quo.

Drink up daredevils!
It’s not a joke.
The human toe in your drink
Is not just taking a soak.

It’s challenged many drinkers
And many have exclaimed,
“Ewwww, What’s going on?
And who has been maimed?”

But there are the hearty
Who take up the call
To be close to the toe
Soaked in some alcohol.

Yes, the toe is plunked in
If the bar patron says, “Sure!”
To the challenge of swigging
A toe-drink that allures.

But one of the patrons
Who couldn’t live without
Made a home brewsky
After his wife heard a shout.

Before he put on his bandage
His wife could not look
At the painful outcome
Of the action he took.

Now he is satisfied drinking
And doesn’t mind his nine toes.
He has daily Sourtoe cocktails
And now everyone knows!

That he’s not a toe-totaller.
He has a daily drink
And must have his cocktail
While he takes a deep think.

And if there is an error
Of swallowing the toe by mistake
He plans to live comfortably
With toes numbering eight.

Tale of The Night Movers

Hail, a phantom moon
traversing its cloaked
chambered recesses
of her prevalent crown.

Unspool gently and host
minding eyes immersed
within your ethereal pull
exacting Cupid's pursuit
impresses dependably.

Slay suspicious initiatives
yond hints of their riddled
hearts pausing serenity
and tryst capers a fullness
until dawning climbs to a
whispering.

Anticipatory confidences
secure immature adoration,
gift a sense of a certain fling,
for shared planned proof that
sensorial alliance is immortal.

Abiding hearts, minds, and
souls and that its permanence
lingers in all three entities to
be truly entrusted versus all
hardships that dare.

Any challenge purposeth
distraction swayed to disrupt
sanctioned harmony and
impose their nightly fight and
an easy win over the weak.

Lovers supposed union is but
a temporal existence, and
Cupid's aim slumbered apiece,
held in stasis as hostages host
for thoughts to fester.

A mire of serendipity and wished
upon measures of advice, out
from this unlit pullback of the
unimaginative lost, but hail to
the victorious and glorious.

Righteous grit encountering the
opaque influences of damaging
desires to hoodwink the candid
that wore down night's ethical
battle and fortuitous claim.

Justified inevitableness outlasts
twilight's hold by conquering the
gloaming tripped-upon dawn's
call ends nightmarish corps to
collapse.

Cherubs reward a star's chariot
ascent who condones a handheld
coursing and are hereby blessed
with a kiss of permanence and a
dreamt descent.

Prisoner's Dilemma

Alone in his cell, an inmate said,
"Truly, I have escaped the baseness of humans-
that inveterate vice which condones condemnation.”
No longer will he mistake loathing for love, enmity for
amenity or abhorrence for adoration.
Here, who you are, whether you be Gandhi or Nazi, is
Worn proudly, unambiguously, not shrouded in incongruity.
No longer will he be forced to live a lie and deny who he
Is. “Here, we are all the same”

No longer will he need to weave elaborate stories to cover
up your crimes. “Here we can count on your face
the lives you took”
Looking through the prison bars he saw our dilemma:
The masks we wear and the people we pretend to be; the people
We befriend to betray in the end. He saw the disingenuous,
the hypocrisy, the ruse and the tricks,
the chaos and the lies; and he felt sorrow because
he could not free those of us still trapped by prison walls.

If Dishonesty Is More Despicable Than Lies

If dishonesty is more despicable than lies,
let one ponder over guilt 'till that word dies!

Why are dishonest people so confident...
that being caught is no embarrassment?

Taking someone's else belongings to pay the rent,
or stealing an identity is easier than robbing a bank!

If the word " Dishonesty " is more despicable than lies,
why be that one who condones or even sympathizes?

Gods Will

Gods Will

Everyone who believes in God

Denies responsibility for life

Everyone who believes in God

Denies creation and the stars

They are blind to the heavens above us

Everyone who believes in God

Relinquishes their faith in love

And condones unseen fate as an excuse

Not to act

Everyone who believes in God

Denies responsibility

Denies responsibility

Denies responsibility

Everyone who believes in God

Does not see their children die of starvation

Everyone who believes in God

Believes in Heaven

And so this life ( your only life )

Can be excused

For living in sin

Everyone who believes in God

Believes in Heaven

And denies responsibility

For their fellow man

For everyone who believes in God

Its is easy

This is just Gods will

That my plate is full

And yours is

Empty

Spiritual Journey of a Woman

Spiritual journey of a woman
She is the gateway to life’s existence
The motive of you and me
She resides in a world full of malevolence
She decides the way of her success
She consoles and condones that which she values
She is tormented by the adversities reigning that affect her happiness
She toils and lingers seeking the freedom to be
Her journey is infinite
The journey of a woman is knotty, thorny, but yet guided by the Creator

Trees In Spring

Beneath the trees, gazing up, I see
Branches reaching skyward, sprouting leaves,
Filtering rays through the canopy
That cause my eyes to blink breathlessly
From the mosaic, prism colour scheme.

The scenic vista is dynamic
And pleasing to absorb spring’s hypnotics.
These vascular plants drink nourishment
And utilize the sun’s energy
In the process of photosynthesis.

The reality of perception’s direction
Persuades self-effacing resignation
From biased human disposition
With artistic interpretation.
“I pray nature forgives my trespassing!”

Trees in spring of natural beauty
Whose subliminal message I can’t dismiss.
“Human intrusion has been devastating!”
Unwarranted greed condones desecrating
Tangible living poetry in motion.
