Best Come Apart Poems
“Not many fake things are so nice for me, but I sure love an artificial tree.” quote by poem's author
We had to ditch last year our Christmas tree.
Worn out it was! We needed something new.
Big after-Christmas sales we went to see,
and huge discounts were more than just a few.
We saw a tree – not too small or too tall -
a beautiful white tree that was pre-lit.
There were no boxed ones left of it at all.
I liked it best, so “as is” we bought it.
We had to place it carefully inside
the back of hubbie’s truck, which worked okay.
In three parts it could come apart to hide
it till the time we’d put it on display.
I love the softness of its lights. It seems
like candy land! We did not know about
the way its lights give different types of beams.
We put it up and figured that all out.
Its colored lights can have a steady glow,
or they can stay one certain color, or
they can flash or brightly beam, then fade low.
I could not wait to get it on our floor!
Fun ornaments and garlands go around
that tree, which makes it a joy to look at.
Our two cute kitties very quickly found
our tree but don’t attack it. I’m glad for that!
life’s always changing
don’t come apart at the seams
hope hasn’t left us
We are all children from the Heavenly garden...
Regardless of the weeping that sometimes does us pardon...
Crying in the vine when a favourite toy disappears...
Where sometimes there is no sign of life through these mirrors...
Standing in the rain...we cry and weep...
Sometimes praying for that Eternal sleep...
Trying with a heavy heart that has since come apart...
With a weight upon one's soul, that has lost complete control...
Crowning the face of each choice when truths do appear...
Finding direction, changing routes not yet visible or perfectly clear...
All of our paths crossed for genuine reasons I do believe...
fate we sit in the shadows lost....wishing to perceive...
Every last soul's wish that we could change what we cannot arrange...
All the pain that does drip down as rain...
We'll let the drops fall, whether large or quite small...
Until love sets us free once again....
A co written piece by Christian McNeil and Liam Mc Daid
When the sun drops out of sight
On a full moon night
When the moon shines so bright
All across the night
With God creating this amazing sight
When we are able to just walk all through the night
Without any synthetic light to find our way
Then I think how God has put his blessings on display
In the most powerful way
Satan promises to take all that light away
If man should choose to play his way
Darkened like a no moon night
Your world plunged into fright
To spend eternity without light
That brings Gods world into sight
Gods people know the bible is right
The ones left sitting on the fence uptight
knowing deep inside
That Satan has taken you for a ride
Gods open arms waiting for all
Who will hear his mighty call
That do not wish to fall into the bowels of hell
Where your loved ones won't hear you yell
The smell of death and destruction
Will be your only smells
Satans trickery so full of lies
Trying to bring the world to its demise
It's never too late to demonstrate
Until now you were dealing with a fake
Our God who controls our fate
Will never make you wait
Look into your heart he is never far apart
Tell him you wish to be a part of his kingdom
That leads us to freedom
When we receive God into your heart
Then your life won't come apart
He gives us a fresh new start
Like a shooting dart
He will take Satan completely apart
In your new life, he restarts the important parts
Know the peace he brings
Every time he swings his might
He will light every step of your way
So you no longer will fear
The day when he will be coming back here
To deal with Satans hellish atmosphere
The time is near
He is waiting to hear from you today
So when you pray be sure to say
God is the light that lights up the night
He is the one to show you way
And that does not change
From day to day

The wind does not knock—
it slips through the soul’s lattice,
a breathless envoy
from the hush between stars.
It strokes the cheek
such as a spirit reliving purity,
then fades away,
becoming simply a whisper
of a melody sewn into stillness.
My terms come apart
in the string of stems,
where faint words
weave between tufts of grass
that curl with hymns
that are lenient to say.
Birdsong flows
from lungs in rooms full of people—
a hymn to the untamed,
to the pain that hums
simply seeking to be felt.
Love, in its most genuine form,
surpasses the structure of cognition—
It resides in the root of air,
in the rhythm of the intangible.
No note is ever lost—
each tender tremble,
each faltering flight,
is archived in the breath
between dusk and dawn.
We save our dreams.
In the shaft of the Horizon,
in sparkles that linger
on the verge of entropy.
These are the germs of tomorrow
tumbling in the blood
of the eternity we dare to call.
At our house we had what was called an ‘odd sock drawer,
A place which the whole family could keep odd socks to store.
Quite often the matching sock was to be seen no more.
When the drawer became quite full Mum declared war.
She bought a sizable pack of large safety pins.
And threw the contents of odd socks out, to fill a few bins.
Each of us was given quite a few pins. No more sox would be odd.
Pinned together as we take them off when the last step was trod.
Into the wash they go still tightly pinned together.
Now through thick and thin and any type of weather,
Those pesky socks can’t come apart even if they try.
The dryer doesn’t like their pins so it’s out on the line to dry.
Cheers for Mum she fought the battle with a wink and a nod,
She won the war. Now we have no more socks that are odd.
Now we can fill that draw with anything else that we please.
It seems to be getting filled with miscellaneous keys.
Keys that have been lying around and don’t seem to fit any door.
A place where the whole family could keep odd keys to store.
I wonder how long it will take her to find a solution for odd keys.
Any suggestions accepted. Use the comment section please.
The conversations we have are fun, funny and sad.
I wish they could last forever, but they end like all things.
Our relationship was not broken by time, and will never be broken by distance
If a million miles separated us,I would never forget you.
If a million years pass,we will live in our memories.
If you could not speak, it would not matter.
I can read you like a book, your words are simple, and sweet.
If I could not move, you could read my heart through my eyes.
A mothers love is fierce, her anger deadly.
She was a life line before I was born, when it was cut,a new one was formed,
One that would never be cut, never be broken.
It was a thread, you held onto it,careful to not break it, for 14 years it was close to your heart,on your mind all the time
When you heard my voice, that thread became a cable, thick and strong built from decades of separation,an anchor for me,
Holding me to life,
You are the Surgeon who stitched me back together, mending broken pieces, filling in the spaces where life had faded and was lost,
The cable is the stitches that hold me together, the glue that holds peace.
When I sleep, the stitches come apart, and I awake in agony,
When I open my eyes you are there, your smile a band-aid for the bleeding, your presence morphine for the pain
I fall back asleep, content that you are close.
On a sunny day
You give me shade
You carry me
Throughout the waters
Taking me where I must go
On a winters day
You give me shelter
Keeping me warm
In a sky
Full of wind and storm
On a good day
We sail
We laugh
We dance on the fields of ocean
Without a care
Or cloud in the sky
On a bad day we wait
For the storm to pass
And you keep me afloat
When I cannot swim
When the day comes
That you cannot sail
Or cannot dance
I will lay with you
And wait
For your wooden frames
To come apart
And I will sing to you
As the storm
Comes
To pull you in
I-- love
you still
but I can see
That our paths have gone awry
Our parallels have turned to Ys
And I do not know how to say goodbye
and so I won’t.
Oil and water
emul--- sified
have come apart
like cur dled cream;
Fision has split
the nucleus.
I only hope
our flight will stop
While you still seem a part of me;
If our limit is not infinity
I at least will know where
to reach
for you
.
We all have our mountains to climb
From the valley in our heart
Keep up with the endless time
You won’t come apart
There will be some suffering
And tears when you die
as small as we are
we can all reach the sky
No longer would you be sure
Coming back to this part
All alone by yourself once more
In the valley of your heart
To where you had come your own
You made it to the sky
You will never feel alone
In the moment you will die
It’s not easy to reach the heavens
Climbing from your heart
Healing from its sufferings
The battles and their scars
Shadows where the mountains part
Now all full of stars
In the moment you arrive
from the valley in your heart
there is a tear from all alive
on each and every star
As the light meets the darkness
Crying out who you are
Does kindness look back at you with grace
When you hold the mirror up to your face
Have you done good in your life
And helped others through their strife
Or have you sat idly by and by
And ignored others as they cry and cry
Do you spend the time to lend a sympathetic ear
And let others know their woes you truly do care
Do you live the good life above it all
Or do you do acts of good others can recall
Have you woven virtues of kindness into your life themes
Or do you secretly revel when others come apart at the seams
For if you go above and beyond to the betterment of one's sad story
Mankind lifts higher for the downtrodden glory

Every time I remembered a tiny fraction of
Mathematics, there would always be some
Monstrous mathematical computation waiting
To fight me. Yeah, math was the worse BULLY.
THOUSANDS more steps a few formulars, obliaques,
Diagonals, parallelograms.
Often times my mind would just come apart at the
Seams. I thought I might as well day dream.
No way out!! There was definitely shame to my
Aim.
I haven't even memorized the amount of coins in
My pocket!!
I had the CURSE.
I had it worse!
At first I thought it was only I with such a
Deep seeded rebellion toward math.
Then I searched the room and found
Vacant stares.
There was definitely a LUMP IN MY SLUMP.
I didn't want to share my AGGRAVATION.
I WAS thoroughly RUNNING diagonals
Straight into a brick wall of MATHEMATICAL
PHOBIA.
Other wise this doesn't add up at all. Time
And time I assured myself I had mastered it.
This wasn't the confusing
UNIVERSE I thought , thousands of
Confusing steps anticipated my arrival.
There I was DESTINED for a mathless liveable LIFE.
I had concluded it wasn't my cue.
It simply wasn't one of my values.
Now, I stand.
With VALUABLE VALOR.
YES, A SAVORY BRAVERY
MY mathlessness.
A mathless WORLD OF MY OWN.
MY LAST MATHEMATICAL. THOUGHT
I MIGHT NOT BE ALONE, I AM NOT
ONE BUT MORE!!
the list that was a fist
a) it is possible
b) it is inevitable
chained to a million pleasures
an astonishing compendium of compulsions
honed bright with a fool's ardor
the kind you'd wish for in a movie script
undulating at the tar pits of amor
the land rich with autographs
bruised and humiliated reciting the alphabet
backwards on the curb with Officer *****
a limited perspective but not without its ironies
blazing trails to metabolic equilibrium
using every crutch and cane there is
to seek out and embrace ignorance
in a fanciful play of medieval shadows
colliding with the grace of mosh pit elbows
and that pretty much nails it
the rest is a problem of amplification
if looking can blind you I'm blind
he seems to have a button gone missing
ripe to the skies with the stink of deduction
hell was upon us and none grieved
in statistically relevant numbers
apparently they had finally reached
the bottom of the barrel
we still wage war upon feudalism
good advice for any century or cemetery
touch something holy once in a while
and mighty Thor will wing above
ah sure right uh huh you bet
needing humor the wires tried to sing
the blades of the switch bit the anode
all is broadcast everywhere right now
on all the boogie woogie coordinates
how's that for karmic indifference
some curse some utter gratitude
may the good fairy console you
and turn the illusion of warmth
up a little higher
since it hasn't yet been made a crime
to destroy your own mind
until the foundations of the world
thunder and come apart like cooked meat
but working on the problem
is better than nothing
even if you really don't know
all that you think you know
even if hideously scarred in battle
a terra cotta bust hot from the oven
smelling of sulfur and bruises
tempted by radiance and music and poetry
which could get you jailed tonight
so pretend you have wide angle vision
under a curse with an escape clause
in varying pedantic proportions
for another illegal exit
from Average and its Law
played to hI fives all around
kindling fires of rebellion
the Metaphor League saw to it

I am a "K" in life's alphabet soup.
I can be hard or soft,
Or playful like little kids in the park,
Flying their kites aloft.
Kings and kingdoms are under my rule,
Chivalrous knights come from me,
Bringing adventure and romance to light,
In kaleidoscopic esprit.
Kisses soft and sweet are mine,
To kindle flames of passion.
Kindness is my very essence,
Given without ration.
A kindred spirit am I with those,
Who knit words into art.
A kinship of the heart and soul,
That won't soon come apart.

Grief in Mourning
The price of love is grief, so it's been said
There's nothing can tear the magnetic thread
Love's a bond that ties one to another
Parents, siblings, friends and lifetime lovers.
Though we’re aware in death we come apart
It's tough moving on when we've lost dear hearts
We’ll ofttimes hear them, feel their presence too
Our memories will always guide us through.
People that we love shape the who we are
When gone they'll shine in our hearts alike stars
If you spot white feathers fall from above
They're from angels in heaven sent with love.
