Best Chili Poems
Texas has been kind to me;
You have to understand.
In the state of Texas;
Is where I found my man.
They raise a lot of cattle,
Bovines large beyond belief.
I think this is the reason;
That Texans love their beef.
You grind it and you pound it,
Most any cut will do.
Then brown it in a big old pot;
Add onion when you're through.
Cook down with red tomatoes,
And lots of chili powder;
Add garlic, salt and pepper.
Then simmer for an hour.
I like Texas Chili
I always add some beans,
Not everybody's favorite
But better than it seems.
Texas has been kind to me;
So do not be forlorn;
In the state of Texas,
Is where my son was born.
Please let me just reflect a bit;
And wax a little silly.
Texas has been kind to me,
And I like Texas Chile.
Hot food for comfort in Winter’s the best; soups birthed and thickened with cream.
Steaming, thick chili and spice coupled with hot cobblers.
Sink into that…ummm…warm.
Fresh peppers, onions sauteed
Lean, lean ground beef browned
Tempting aroma surrounds
Chopped fresh herbs sizzle
Juicy tomatoes
Pintos, too
Zing!

I've slurped chili from border-to-border and betwixt the roilin' seas,
In fancy five-star establishments and greasy spoon eateries.
I've sampled some that has caused anxious gastrointestinal uproar,
But I'm a glutton for the stuff and always go back for more!
I'll eat chili with or without beans, it really matters not,
Jes' so there's plenty in the pot and it's rather spicy hot!
I'll even deign to open a can of concentrate in an emergency,
But I much prefer a great chef's favourite and secret recipe!
Many are the chili cook-offs I've sauntered my way through,
Tastin' gawd-awful concoctions, my face turnin' a reddish hue!
Those guys toss things in the pot about which I wouldn't care to know.
Their recipes are closely-held secrets and there ain't no quid pro quo!
Now, usually I can tolerate chili from any hot and spicy batch,
But, boys, I'm here to tell you that today I finally met my match.
Satan himself must have brewed that beastly olio!
I gasped, shed copious tears and my ears assumed a ruddy glow!
I'm told its a social blunder to crumble crackers in your soups,
But what care I? I ain't concerned about jumpin' through no social hoops!
Some of the glares I get from folks are embarrassin'ly chilly!
So what! Me worry? I relish crumbled crackers in my chili!
A friend once asked, “What is Love?”
And one replied Love is like an exquisite red rose flower
In a romantic, elegance, lovely shady bower
Been hooked by a gentle sexy dove
“What is Love?” he asked again
A pretty looking lady smiled and replied
Love is a magical feeling between a groom and a bride
It is the current that flows through my heart and brain
“What is Love? I want to know”
Finally, a handsome looking guy smiled and said
Love is when the heart, mind and soul are Fed
With one’s emotions and makes one’s star glow
So I asked, what is Love?
Some say Love is patience and kind
But I say Love is blind and can put you in a bind
Love I say can ignorantly give one a shove
Some say Love does not envy
Some say love does not boast
But I say Love is what others need the most
Love can actually make people go crazy
I have found out that Love is not a feeling
And that Love is trusting and caring
But Love can be a bit over bearing
And true Love when unwrapped brings divine healing
Some say “Adam and Eve created Love
Romeo and Juliet made Love
Sampson and Delilah betrayed Love
And Julius Ceaser died for Love”
The Love I found is a Love like no other
It was not the Love of Adam and Eve
Neither was it the Love of Sampson, who was deceive
Nor was it the Love between a sister and a brother
The Love I found was shed on old rugged cross
It was offered to you and me
He came into my life as a light so I can see
To sum it all up, “J-E-S-U-S is my Chili Sauce”
""Entirely you know
I cannot change
the whole of the
World all on my
own." -
"Or can I?"
"I mean whom
better to start
with?""
""Yes, finding I
am; Humility
raises no
defense
or real
doubt for-
nor rouses
up no great
fear against -
one better yet
yes offers no
consequence."
to anyone, thing;
"freely bow's down;
in only direct
reflection to
itself.""
"So yes rather than
win can you lose be
rather wrong than right -
surrender everything keep
stirring the pot friend yes not
let the beans burn." -
"Yeah ha Ha ho yo oh yes don't you
know how hard out of my way I'd be
sure to go just to avoid that?""
""I am so-curious; "Brilliant!" everything
is used for something, so to Grace I lend
a knee; heart, open mind hand."" -
"Some barter's made yes some sold are
bought and sold and re-bought again and
again. entirely" -
""Heaven knows I have bought that Farm
before; sold a lot of priceless - valuables in
my time I cannot ever wage enough
collateral to buy back."
"My very soul included, Ex-Wife Life -
Children, yeah I tell you I sold it all, yes, my
entire family."" - "Vivid" fond their memory's"-
But I would not change a thing, if I had to
do it all again. ""Yes time and time again;
Because I wouldn't be the man I am today
if it were not for all of the mistakes;
lessons learned, of my past.
"But you know I know I could never-barter
with God for any true faith in my own
security." -
No no I cannot bargain with Him, to reach
a place, vision as Blissful Peaceful; Pure;
as that;
"HEAVEN!"
""So to fill a weary soul, He taught
me, a bowl of Copperhead soup."
"Well I tell you now friend sure
makes for a fine; cleansing-dish.""
""With white-wine salad lemon
pepper chard finger size
copperhead steak patty's on
the side -
"Lima beans -
fresh milk cornbread
yeah they all provide
a quick cooling, for
a real real;
spicy kick ... !""
Two old guys who won ribbons each year
made a bet as the contest drew near:
If just one of them placed,
then the other, in haste,
would eat two quarts of chili, with beer.
For a change, kudos came to just one.
The hot chili with beer was no fun
for the poor loser Bart
who for two days did fart
while Joe Lee was hailed second to none.

You hadn't had any forewarning
as you take a spoonful of
Granny's 12 alarm chili,
not knowing its the
calm before the storm
as its about to set off an alarm,
when you take your
first bite, you try to show delight,
as your inner thermostat soars
to solar flare like heights,
you feel like your going through
menopause again as you feel
waves of hot flashes,
and then like a volcano you hear
something rumbling as Mt. Derriere
starts releasing its gasses,
but its not just you but Granny too
so you don't feel quite so bashful,
as you quickly guzzle down water,
glassful after glassful,
she is just beaming and feels glad
that your visiting her as you
toot-toot like a one woman band,
and then you think to yourself
I didn't know Granny was musically inclined
hearing different sharp and flat notes
coming from her behind,
and to get rid of the smell that you have to quell
you start opening a couple of windows,
all the while making a mental note
which says, remember next time to
most definitely bring the beano!
Meat and tomatoes
Go well with some paprika
Then you have Chili
Use potatoes and not beans
It’s Hungarian Goulash

that's my wife's business,
he will make it for you, not tomato sauce but grated coconut sauce which is fried without oil wrapped in banana leaves like pepes.
It is wonderful for a tongue that is saliva due to the rash of the savory aroma of coconut and banana leaves and kaffir lime leaves and the scent of garlic and the sharpness of chillies.
"Besides your house, near the sapodilla tree," replied Mas Sorjan when Selo proposed that his place was near the goat's cage.
"Yes, it can be an appetizer, when Selo says while lifting a bunch of bananas, baked until the skin is charred it will be really tasty."
I fell in love with Karsita
He is not a virgin
I do not care
He was frustrated by his disbelief
I do not care
He cares
Today, he herded ravines and ravines
Splitting the sun into three parts
Mix all kinds of recipes.
Your tongue will be messed up
What should I do?
What do you need?
Is not a wife?
Is it not the head of the treasury?
What about tongue-breaking?
Like the chaos of a trapped person like the messed up President

“Disamping rumahmu saja, dekat pohon sawo kecik.”
Membelah matahari menjadi tiga bagian
Mencampur segala macam resep masakan.
Lidahmu akan dibuat kacau
Aku harus bagaimana?
Apa yang kamu butuhkan?
Apakah bukan seorang istri?
Apakah bukan kepala perbendaharaan?
Bagaimana dengan pengacau lidah?
Seperti kacaunya orang kesurupan seperti kacaunya Presiden yang belum jadi
I love my own chili,
I know it sounds silly,
heat in pot
nice and hot
it is truly a dilly.
I love my own meatloaf.
I throw on a sugar top.
Other people would
not do it,
or know how to stop.
I do, you big oaf.
After all, this sugary
brown sugar ketchup combination
is what makes it my meatloaf.
I love my own cooking.
Restaurants are rarely okay.
My most favorite me-cooked-meal
Navy beans and ham, in a gravy
over cornbread,
Good thing my husband likes
it too, or things would be coming
to a head.

Lovers promising they’ll never part; and a Dixie woman’s daughter;
That builds the walls within her heart.
A Detroit motor purring; with a top that would go down;
And the blues coming from the radio; sends a message I can understand;
these are the stories that express the kind of guy I am.
And the illustrator often erases with his rubber the distinctions;
That so often distinguishes good intentions.
Tattoos fade like pictures from the past;
And as deafening sounds of silence prevent peace within the night
The spirit of the jackal lies in wait; in hopes for a chance to fight
Gooey cheese on fork
The beans and meat blend sweetly
Chili spreads on plate
I take a large bite
Mm's and oh's out of my mouth
As high as a kite
