Best Cecilia Poems
POTD 10th May 2018
A dedication to our departed Mum, Anne Forbes.
And to all the dearly departed Mums who celebrate Mother’s day on the second Sunday in May. We will meet again.
The day came when she had to leave
And we were left behind to grieve
If we could wish her back for a day
A million things we would need to say
As exquisite as painted silk these wings
I soar past clouds ~ with a Soul that sings
Every precious moment by her side
Fighting back tears we hold inside
Knowing she would go away
The Wish ~ was only for a day.
In a whirl of color flying fast
Hastening to a future of Ever last
A Wish granted ~ a butterfly in our midst
An astral sensation like we’ve been kissed
The Sun shines brighter on this glorious day
The whispering breeze that seems to say
Pearlescent petals in the air
Shimmering sun beams everywhere
I’m always here ~ I watch you all
And comfort you if you falter or fall
So dry your tears ~ no need to grieve
My tangible form ~ you must believe
I never left ~ I love you still
To Eternity’s end ~ I always will
On a whispering wind that gently sighs
I fly like a butterfly ~ there are no goodbyes

"On The Wings Of A Butterfly" by Jimmy Scott.
Middle child of seven siblings and has had a troubled childhood
It has made me a stronger person, just not easily understood
Had a baby at seventeen and had to grow up in a flash
Now tends to over think, tries not to do anything rash.
I have dark long blond hair, hazel eyes and an infectious smile
Patient, laid back, but still gets frustrated every once in a while
Likes long hot showers and is wise with money
Drinker of herbal teas and hot lemon with ginger and honey
Friendly, outgoing and loves to laugh
Driven, ambitious does nothing by half
Enjoys to read, dance and play scrabble
Inspired by poetry, in writing it I dabble.
Is a PSW in long term nursing care
Empathy for the elderly I can't but share
Loves truly and deeply, is a hopeless romantic
Directionally challenged without a GPS I become frantic.
Mother of three sons, who enriched by life with so much joy
Recently blessed with a grand daughter, who I cherish, love and enjoy
Kindhearted, non judgmental and a very loyal friend
I'm always there when needed, on me you can depend.
Never smoked, did drugs and rarely ever has an alcoholic drink
Likes crosswords and sudoku, games that make me think
Loves sea food, sauteed onions and homemade soup
Energized by biking, long hikes and is a leader in a scouting group.
Moved by Nickleback's song, 'If Today Was Your Last Day'
For we should live life to the fullest, let nothing stand in our way
My favorite movie is 'Ever After' starring my favorite actress Drew Barrymore
Hoping like the movie that my prince charming will soon walk through my door.
****Sidney ~ LeeAnn's " All About ___ " poetry contest ****
The wind blows love songs from afar
And rides the night on a fallen star;
A glow of light from enchanted skies
Holds the trance that stills your eyes;
I’ll kiss the song that fills the air
With haunting words that rise and flare
Around you Cecilia.
Eyes that flame that know not shame
Speak of love and call my name;
Knowing eyes, soft glowing eyes
That brim with tears and love's surprise
To draw my heart so close to you
As rose buds draw the diamond dew
The tempting eyes of Cecilia.
If I should be a great strong tree
Your tender self could lean on me;
Your touch would start and tear apart
Flames that consume my aching heart
And I would be but smoke to rise
Forever lost in empty skies
Oh, save me, my Cecilia.
Cecilia has set me a challenge – to order my favourite pud
If I can say sticky toffee pudding it would be oh so good
But I may make another error and it could come out so bad
If I said stiffy cockie pudding again it would make me oh so sad
But a thought has just occurred to me – I don’t need to use my voice
My husband can order for me, then I’ll get the pudding of my choice!

Life is a journey with much happiness and pain
With twists and turns that bring sunshine and rain
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Young and strong with the world at your feet
Ready to face anything and anyone you meet
Fearless and brave you march to your own inner drum
Not caring where your going and where you came from
Convinced there will be time for all you want to do
Thinking your invincible and wild through and through
Leaping before you look, not afraid of being hurt
Wisdom of your elders you unconcernedly avert
Collecting memories and experiences at record speed
Expecting loved ones to always be there when you need
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Now older and wiser you reflect on your life
Realizing you could have avoided much strife
More cautious and wary you step with care
So not to leave yourself vulnerable and bare
Questioning your motives before you embark
Knowing you shine whether you make a mark
Treasuring those you love, giving them your time
Reminiscing about those who made heavens climb
Taking advice of seniors for they are astute and wise
Slow down and enjoy each moment for life is the prize

Thank you for your visit, you will be able to follow my full playlist by clicking on my YouTube channel above.
I'm going to enter a beauty quest
Win or lose it’s my right to contest
Age race or gender should not bold us back
We've fought for our rights so let's get on track
I'll enlist the help of my lovely niece
She runs a gym and is ready to please
We’ll, work on muscles and then the curves
Right now I'm just a bundle of nerves
Woke up this morning and my hair's all gone
A touch of alopecia and I'm like a sheep shorn
To make matters worse one eyebrow is missing
I look a freak and my cat is hissing
Well we’ll, work on muscles and then the curves
Right now I'm just a bundle of nerves
Woke up this morning and my hair's all gone
The day arrives and I'm ready to go
Wig and make-up in place I head for the show
My dress is from the Op Shop all silk and lace
And with my stilettos the stage I, will grace
They have us lined up to do the high kick
I raise my leg and feel my knee click
l' m forced to dance one leg in the air
Oh! how I long for my rocking chair
They're calling my name to receive the crown
My courage and persistence has won me renown
That dress from the Op-shop was a very good deal
I'll remember them kindly for their Winter Appeal.
Cecilia, whose creative words as gentle rain sustain
And fed the language that had dormant lain
As spirit of the muse with which I weave
Granted me poetic soul I could believe
OUTSIDE THE BOUNDS OF SISTER CECILIA
the best firecracker
otherworldly seven hues
hiss, cackle, kaboom
Yes, dear ones, I want to own a pen that produces perfect penmanship, the curlicue calligraphy that Sister Cecilia would have hated. Each color, as my mood dictates would jettison from my mind to paper as a musical note, with hieroglyphic fervor. In unity and uniqueness as my lyrical words ignite each heart…each pen imparts the idea that never ends, heart to heart, light and dark, dear poet.
breathless, eternal
wax that never defuses
its bittersweet light
I can hardly stop to cross the t’s and dot the i’s. You, dear loves, like stars grab on - you little prince(s)! You travel light with faeries and dragons light as silk and mighty as giants. We muse together through the galaxy and time. In Athens, we sit down a moment to hear Saint Paul say, “For in him we live and move and have our being. As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’”
baptism of seeds
in the only plot we know —
glorious setting
inner poet can’t contain
as we head out of the grave
Sincerely, as we begin our journey, it never ends — it goes on and on with friends. Sparks fly - serious, silly, frolicking, frenetic and holy.
let not ruler scowl -
repeat curlicues fifty
times to accomplish your dreams

Haibun- With A Message
Sponsor: Charles Messina
So beautiful and dangerous
The Cecilia lion of the firestorm
Setting sexualized minds ablaze
A lioness with a gentle touch
What would you do to engage with this minx
Would you kneel, pleasure her on your knees
Playing a free spirit's tune
Inhaling the scent of jasmine and sex
Laying down in her domain, her humble abode
Burning deep within, melting in ecstasy
A living flame, hot to the touch
An incarnate of luring pulchritude
Serving to ignite this burning inclination
Cecilia Lion has been glazed in torridness
She wears her erotic tendencies gracefully, sexually, and beautifully
More stunning the more I hanker for her
Her assets full and bright
Canting to hear her soughing
Lioness bears her claws
She becomes undone
Not wanting to be silent
To make love under the gold of a crimson hue, that would be wondrous
Mained and copulated by this carnivora
Beastia of the venereal tropic plains
Aggressive, to snuff out my libidinous
Succumbing to the Cecilia Lion's design

Cecilia
By: Noel N. Villalrosa
You are the essential part of my life
My awareness and pride striking hype
You are insignia of my existence
Interstellar in my reminiscence
In this world of choices and by chances
You hold my hands to hurdle in races
Always bargaining for my achievements
Through ups and downs, I run for confinement
We share each day, passion and offering
To Almighty God for brighter upbringing
Of our child to receive our guidance
And give us a pure strength and endurance
I thank God for blessing of you to me

Sacred Night – A New Original Modern-day Christmas Carol,
a Collab with Cecilia Crasto
Once again, a beautiful poem by my sister Cecilia Crasto has been transformed into a lyrical Video musical, complete with special effects to convey the story of that historic Christmas night when the Christ Child was born. This New Original Christmas Carol celebrates the timeless spirit of love, hope, and joy that unites us all, regardless of our beliefs or traditions.
I trust you’ll enjoy this heartfelt creation as much as we enjoyed bringing it to life. Wishing my family, friends, and everyone here a season filled with peace, kindness, and good health. May this time of year inspire warmth and togetherness in us all.
A Happy and Joyful Christmas to one and all
I was expecting to find an open door to your heart
From the glimpses I received to your soul
To be lost in your dream forever my dream
Drawn to your pivot like a charged magnet
The only time I seem to be alive…is when I'm electrified!
When I become lost in your fantasy…you can end me?
I watch the world go by as you enter mine…or choose to.
There are no words, not a sound, only your powerful thoughts
Only emotion, only my undying devotion…in this placid ocean
Of once rough waters…collected tears like the Dead Sea
I picture you as you were before the door closed
A raging storm, a ravaging force, unforgiving
A drop of your tears, flooded the mind to a crippling stroke
With sorrow and despair…a woman scorned!
How I stayed afloat the wreckage…unseen?
An ant in your crushing palm…where do I begin?
Only you can end the storm for love’s sunset to take form
Only you define the horizon…to a goodnight?
Perhaps I enjoy these salty planes and otherwise clear skies?
My destiny is wherever your storm ejects or swallows me
The nightmare is still only a small part of your dream
I love you Cecilia…and so I stay within a force of nature
Where your winds and whims dictate my direction
And your rainwaters offer me equally life and death
CECILIA
Writing poems in the deep of the night
And hoping I might
Get response to them
I got up to go on line
Before I got back to bed
Found you’d sent me a sign
Oh! Cecilia.
You’ve such a big heart
You’re boosting my confidence daily
Oh Cecilia with feed-back so kind
You’re feeding my mind
Yes you do, yes it’s true
All the pens in Poetry Soup
Would like to get a big scoop
Of appreciation
We get a lift from writers like you
The confidence you imbue
Brings elation
Oh! Cecilia.
You’ve such a big heart
You’re boosting our confidence daily
Oh Cecilia with comments so kind
You’ve delighted our minds
Yes it’s true, what you do
TRUST-IN ME by Jeanette Jones based on
Portrait No Twilight Confidences by Cecilia Beaux 1888
Confidently, she speaks, sure of her worthiness.
Explaining how now, she gets it.
All I need is faith, even the size of a mustard seed.
A blissful sight we were, the two of us.
Still sure of herself, she quietly explains.
He said, receive it. I did.
He said, believe it. I did.
He said, declare it. I did.
Never in the deepest valley, or over the highest mountain, will I ever have to travel for
something I can’t see.
Alone in this darkness, we shall never be afraid, for daylight comes in the morning, because he cover us.
The small space between these two hands
is all space that I need, as long as I believe in
the mustard seed.
Shall you, just agree?
Her fingers speak silently, yet the words so loud and clear. Authority speaks to her. She translates His instructions. Silence between her hands. I too get it.
Trust-in me.
