Best Broaden Poems

Sir Jack and the Outside-Inside Basketball Attack

The incredible shooting display put on by "Sir" Jack,

Teaches a basic tenet of basketball that remains still,

You can expand your game from the outside

and considerably broaden your skill,

With accuracy you can keep defenders off-guard,

You can shake 'em or hit one in their grill,

By working the game outside-inside,

You can score on any defender at will.

Take That Risk

Take that risk
Enlighten and empower yourself
Never stop growing
Entertain, edify, and reach for that top shelf
The gold is yours
Be willing to broaden your mind
The answer is there within
Just take things one step at a time

Thoughts From a Dad

Children are gifts, to which parents brought life
Treasures to cherish, keep from trouble and strife
Guide them and shape them, try to invest
Just how you raise them will aid their progress.

Tell them you love them is the number one rule
Never compare them to others, that’s certainly not cool
Be patient and listen it never does harm
Hugging them daily, makes them feel charmed.

Read them a story and broaden their mind
Encourage them daily for their own way to find
Leave them no doubt; you intend to always be there
That they’ll learn from mistakes so never show fear

Sitting and talking is how families have meals
Sharing life with your loved ones, is part of the deal
Chores give them value as part of your team
Talk them through problems, and give them esteem

Tell them hard work, not talent, is the true way to earn
Help them with homework you might even learn
Consequences come, as a result of an action
That time spent together is never distraction

Parenting’s not easy, with the odd stumble and fall
Remember simple stuff works like throwing a ball
Support and inspire them to chase all their dreams
Making good adults is the number one theme.

*Not everyone will agree and there are so many other thing that could be added.

Premium Member Gypsy Winds

Gypsy winds, wind their way
across deserts and plains;
whip the tumbleweeds and
sands into a frenzy.

Nomad scorpions roam dunes alone,
burrowing deep, to escape
a tempestuous sirocco.

In lonely places cacti sentinels
stand vigilant day and night;
the magic within them, untapped by humans.

Only a few know the secrets of desolate places;
fewer still, those of their own backyard.

Observation, in its purest form, is a rare practice;
most people live on the Earth, not in it.
Participate in life and it will broaden the mind.
Expand your knowledge, with the senses and insight;
wisdom is bestowed, as a reward.

A bump on a log, never gives, but stagnates.
The winds of change, reveal secrets to the open ear;
listen carefully, to those gypsy winds.

And I will spread this like wildfire
with love and seflessness,
I will make hot the world.

(Spin)

To not broaden your heart's landscape
is to not see all of suffering.
Without this ability we are hopeless in our thinking
that we are alone in our suffering.

(Spin)

In the mist of struggle
I cannot breathe without writing something.

She May Be Gone

She may be gone
But, you can still hear her voice
Your mother was always there
To help you make the right choice
Let her voice be heard
She wants you to do your best
Broaden your world
And be a cut above the rest

Premium Member The Key To

The key to understanding is empathy.
The key to happiness is to give.
The key to contentment is appreciation.
The key to peace is to forgive.
The key to broaden horizons in an open mind.
The key to knowledge is humility.
The key to wisdom is to listen.
The key to joy is not to question, " Why me? "
The key to the soul is to reach the heart.
The key to the heart is love.
The key to love is kindness.
The key to kindness is to others think of.

So in life there are keys a plenty.
They have many a purpose and feature.
They open things that are empty.
They keep locked safe things kept for the future.

Black Lives Matter

We march for we are tired of the abuse
We speak out for we are tired of being misused
We march for we demand for our lives to matter
We speak out for our lives to be valued like the American dollar
You value your jobs and comfortable living with family you hold dear
You should see we're just trying to live the same without being in fear
You and I are one in the same just different colors of skin
You look upon us as if coming to this land where we were once slaves now free is a sin
400 years we suffered at the hands of whips and chains
400 years we suffered being belittled and taken in vain
400 years we suffered loss due to this ongoing war that never ends
400 years needs to change and broaden the views of all for this message I send
Is to say it's time to take a stand and unite for black lives matter
Is to say we minorities are trying to live and provide for our family
Is to say as we march along the streets through our anger and chatter
We just want to walk alongside you hand and hand and be thought about daily
Not as another mistake who deserves to die by the hands of injustice
Not as another sin of God's creations that was a mistaken race
But as people who are just trying to live and do what we can fighting for justice
But as survivors who are trying to pave the way for a future generation among the surface
And teach that the world isn't so bad for there are those who care
And show that your beautiful inside and out as God's children none can take away
And preach there will be those who still will view your skin weak to compare
But always remember God is the one who rules over all and he has the final say
And as his children he watches over his own and his love is powerful to unite the world if we take a stand

In a world of normal minds, they say,
As thoughts are bound in an adducible way,
A crucial realm of wisdom, often quoted,
Resides in books, yet remains unnoted.

What matters to those commonsensical souls?
Who dread leaving their safe zones of control,
Who adheres to the standard despite harm,
A parody of crucial concepts is not a psalm.

Where imagination thrives,
Ordinary minds bear daring dives,
There lies the beauty of being unconfined,
To the limits of what's deemed normal, defined.

For in the realm of crucial views to foresee,
There is none here that is subject to a decree,
No restrictions on what can be said or done,
No evaluation; no need to comply or stun.

Here, vital ideas turn into comedy,
A playful dance of ideas and absurdity,
Where seriousness waxes a giggling matter,
And the mundane transforms into laughter.

So let us stray from the path well-trodden,
Embrace the unconventional and broaden
Our horizons beyond the ordinary,
In the wit of key views, clarity is a corollary.

A Beast and a Burden

To broaden my horizon, I begin to concentrate.
My mind entered into analysis paralysis state.
I knew that life was not such.
Therefore, why am I the anxious one?

A load of cargo I will become.
This is because I am the beast and the burden.

Striving to achieve, I thrived in thought.
As a political activist, I needed higher marks.
Therefore, I entered college.
I aspired to attain a Master of Science in Criminology.
However, my path was deterred.
A manifestation had occurred.
Negated is life.

Lade is the world.
This is because I am the beast and the burden.

Tomorrow has come.
Culprits has formed.
Weighed down by their crimes.
Yesterday has no more lives.

Laden is the universe.
Rhapsody raptures as the beast and as the burden.

Look Before You Leap

God give me the courage to change the things I can.
For I jumped out of the pot right into the frying pan.

I thought things would be better, that was an oversight.
Instead of boiling, I'm now sizzling, my blisters blight.

I long to leap once again but I'm desperately afraid.
The wok beckons me with good intentions mislaid.

The spoon rest looks comforting, and I need a rest.
Why does change make me wary, excited and distressed.

The oven is warm and inviting, will my essence be renewed.
Or will this latest transformation cause me to come unglued.

I'm reminded by the clock not to waste precious time.
I should soar like never before while I'm still in my prime.

Please give me courage, things have to change!
Broaden my horizons beyond this kitchen range.

Mr Bean

Mr. Bean has made the world go laughing
and if laughter tis the best medicine
then Mr. Bean sure is doctor of laughter
for quite apt is he at appealing humour!

Perhaps the world's best most beloved buffoon
with antics that could beat and defeat any clown or cartoon

King of joke, king of mock
he could send you rolling with laughter
With a serious silly face he played his pranks
to send you laughing ever after.

A funny man who purposely makes slips
or amuses the audience with amusing quips

A man immune to derision and ridicule
for he deliberately prefers to be comic
Funny is to watch him break any rule
for we all know it's just an onscreen antic.

Laugh and laugh, laugh till your sides ached
but watch how he has the last laugh
This jocular chap has mastered the art of comedy
He amuses quite single-handedly without aid or staff.

So before him on your small screen
your attention span for once shan't be mean

Just prepare to broaden that jaw

you're  totally free to guffaw

at this engaging man of mock

this deliberate laughing-stock!

Few have not gone into rhapsody
over this funny fellar, King of comedy
So come heal yer malady
The king of jest
Jester's truly best

(I wrote dis last yr n recently i heard n confirmd it thru google too the nice news that mr.Bean converted to Islam. Skeptics had rather doubt it yet im sure d news has some basis. If true then mr.Bean im more yer fan than eva )

Premium Member Flames Do Leap

One glance and flames set ablaze
His fluttering heart in a daze
Like a spinning kite caught in the wind
It has no fear of fall nor singe
 Consumed by love’s eternal flame
He seems a man somewhat insane
His smiles once rare, make no retreat
Constant and fierce as desert heat
Now broaden as hot flames leap

Who is feeding here, beside the lake, bare of grasses,
stony ground, surrendered to thirst at golden dawn?

The lady at lake’s edge, washes no clothes, bares
no feet, lifts no arms, surrenders to the beholden dawn.

The child of the lake plunges into sand, bares to the bone,
chases ducks and surrenders to mom to awaken dawn.

The man of the lake offers his arm to the catch, bares
his blade, lifts his arms, surrenders to forsaken dawn.

The family of the lake, eats in silence, table now bare
offers silent thanks, surrenders peace since taken dawn.

Go we must, to find our own base self, bared before God,
surrendering to hunger, tested by the trodden dawn.

The lake is always waiting, reeds rising, fish swimming, bare
to visitors after dark, surrendering, soon a broaden dawn.

Keep Right On Writing

1 Would you say that you’d like to write better?
2 Keep writing whether book or love letter.
3 Great writers don’t quit, they write quite a lot.
4 If tempted to stop they simply did not
5 The best of the best, I’d even dare say,
6 Wrote not a few that they just threw away.
7 When eyes of blank pages stare up at you
8 “Quitting makes perfect,” has never been true-
9 ly the more that you practice you’ll find
10 forsooth erelong you shall broaden your mind.
11 The pen is a sword of limitless might;
12 If something is wrong, words can make it write.
13 Words are like arrows that target the soul.
14 They twang, zip, then thump when shot with control;
15 Untrained words injure and never strike true.
16 So religiously write, routinely review
17 For words are the lamp, through darkness lighting.
18 So always, forever just keep right on writing.
