Premium Member Cupid's Golden Bow
Cupid's golden bow and arrow in hand
always hits the target to the tightest degree
shedding his green skin like the chameleon he is
the frog began drowning non-stop smiling as
he fell deeper into ocean colors of all shades a pearl
in a deep pool of beauty...

Premium Member Cupid Pulls Back the Bow
To love you in every fairest moment
And kiss your tender lips in pure delight
To yearn for you when time is absent
And hold you closer in warm shadowed light
How warm our palms, held in soft embrace
Beneath the sun's flowered fragrant field
As lover's we'll seek a...

Premium Member The Red Bow
The red bow was tied; a marriage dance
They fell in love at first glance
The groom and his novia—bride
Only knew what they felt inside
When two hearts who decide
The winding roads of life’s plight
Prevailing winds take flight
Blind faith takes its place
A muted warning of losing...

Cupid Pulls Back the Bow
Cupid Pulls Back The Bow

This café I have stopped to dine,
with hopes I’ll meet my Valentine
I’ve seen her here most every day,
just never had the nerve to say
I took my seat at table two
and ordered what I usually do
Then noticed something just not right
my eyes...

Premium Member Such a Pretty Bow
broad shoulders, six foot three
Rolex, Stacey Adams, suit by Armani
and she said yes

soft spoken, warm hands, piercing eyes
a Harvard degree, business law
and she said yes, yes

a dance to Smoke Gets In Your Eyes
witty, charming, a nightcap
and she said yes, yes, yes

Mercedes Benz, Pacific Ocean, gated...

Premium Member We Bow In Remembrance
Head bowed
Another lost
Only nineteen
Life exhaust

Suicide bomber
Checkpoint aimed
Distant detonation
Bloodthirsty reign

Flown home
Last journey
Sombre flight
Deceased early

Airport met
Coffin carried
Mourning wife
Newly married

Another hero
Theatre down
Another funeral
Tearful town

Families gather
Friends unite
Stars n Stripes
Mournful sight

Firing salute
Last farewell
Congregation disperse
Wishing well

Premium Member The Art of Sky Bow
A sky-bow
pastel light rays,
pigmented by clouds;
a canvas of light.

Gradient echoes filtering
from stratospheric crystal;
embracing curvature,
terra-forma.

Polychrome lamp
riding world’s edge
to infinity’s lair;
ascending...descending,
half moon crest.

A lemon-cherry,
orange and grape
smoothie, blending
in the heavens.

My soul bleeds into
passion pinks
elation oranges
pulling me up to
highest heights
of tranquility.

We meld...

Premium Member The Bow Maid's Travail/ the Archery Lesson
The archers’ line was straddled,
By many a shapely calf.
The Marshall called the nocking,
And winked at the pretty lass.

The Maiden drew the bowstring back,
To her ruddy cheek,
As she fired her fledgling flights;
They heard the fair Maid "Eek!"

Chorus
"Sing Hey Ho, best beware!
Hey Ho have a care,
If ye've...

Premium Member Bow-Legged Pete
There once was a lanky cowpoke named Pete,

Who, when he walked got tangled in his feet!

He'd spent years ridin' his horse,

Becomin' bow-legged, of course!

Looked like a pair of pliers pacin' the street!

November,
riding waves of
eddy leaves left from October’s debut.
Majestic and proud, she takes firm command,
steering the bow

toward
Spring....
