When a Heart Truly Believes

Where is my love

Where could she be

Somewhere out there my poor heart seeks

On some lonely street as I pass by a crowd

I thought I might have heard her speak

Is it you I need to know

Telling eyes would surely show

A voice behind your smile

Would lift my heart up to the sky

But a chill comes over me

When you kissed the man I'll never be

Now my back's against a wall

Alone wondering who should I call

Where is my love

Where could she be

Somewhere out there my aching heart seeks

I look to a star

Wherever you are

I hope this message gets to you

I stand here waiting

Anticipating...

I'll be searching every place to find

My true love till the end of time

Premium Member Youth Believes Love

Youth believes love
its own invention
and not Nature’s
intension for all--

of course youth
relies solely on youth
its application
before cultivation
our Baby-steps
then the fall…

but I, now,
a senior citizen
a denizen
just prior the sleep,

have grown to see love
high and wide
and reassuringly
infinitely deep.

Premium Member Tribute To the Gambler

Now there's no old man sitting there,
just an empty rocking chair.
But the things he said will always be around.

The Gambler is now at rest, on a train bound for nowhere.,
and sometimes all the nights can be so long.
I've longed for love like everyone else does,
longing for shelter from all that we see.

While she lays crying, I fumble with a melody or two,
and I'm torn between the things that I should do.
It's better everyday, you've kissed my tears away,
I know I'll keep searching even after today.

I want to say I love you, forever let me wake to see you,
you have gone and made me such a fool,
won't you believe in my song?
I will find a way, find a way..you're my lady.

I'm hungry for laughter and here ever after,
I'm after whatever the other life brings.
But it won't be long I've heard them say until I'm not around,
And yes, it's true that I'm not the man I used to be.

He turned back toward the window, his faced lost all expression..
He said, "If you're gonna play the game boy, gotta learn to play it right.
That's the secret to survivin'.,know when to fold 'em.
The Gambler crushed out his cigarette..,and faded off to sleep.

Now there's no old man sitting there,
just an empty rocking chair.
But the things he said will always be around.

"Youth only happens to you one time
An so I've been told
If you should miss it in your young time
Have it when you're old" -K.R.

Someone Who Believes

If someone disbelieves you, it’s his will
Your choice matters more than anyone
Follow your desire like wind over the hill
When you get there, catch a glimpse of the sun

Earned your guests in a certain level of kindness
It is a decree of sure winning your fellow’s trust
Repair false service to free them from blindness
While I serve, know no bound, only pure and just

It’s not a lost for lacking someone’s harbor
Feel you just belong to a bigger shelter
For the heart of the mass will get you farther
Things will get better in moments spent together

Life is a battle that you don’t always compete
Against the stronger or influential one
But sooner or later the one who completes
Is the one who believes he/she can!

Along the search to find my political team
None other than an old friend showed me the way
To fulfill bigger step and claim what is in my dream
To talk about my name and cast one’s vote on Election Day

Premium Member Nobody Believes Me

Nobody believes me!

We are killing ourselves and each
other everyday.
And no, we don't need a gun.
But, come on, they tell me,
Stop being a party pooper!

No, I won't get on the train of yours.
Anymore than "Old  Sparky."
The train called "Technology Express"
Heading down all nations, ruining
brains, and bodies with no discrimination.
The engineer called WiFi infecting all.

It's not my responsibility to care for you!
that's up to your fascination.
But know please our government acts
without any moral discretion.
Technology effects blood, body and brains.
And~as long as the gov turns a profit,
to hell with us?
We have new toys.! Never a thought that
they harm us.

Googling it, won't say a thing, they
want to hear their cash cow ring
So to our ears the cell phone goes,
Planting tumors row by row.
Some in our breast, and sperm counts are falling.
And what do we do?
Of course, keep calling.

And sadly we ignore family and friends.
A face, a kiss, a warm embrace?
A text is just a text.
It's not a hug, but a curse.
With our eyes going to hell reading
backlit screens.
Even sex, online, with God knows who?
Welcome to the Technological Zoo.

The Unrealistic Jealousy My Father Believes In

I come home from school, angry at the world, as usual
People don't talk to me or show respect but I shouldn't care
I ask my father why because he is all I have
"They're jealous that you're better than them"

"You're insane" I say because, well, why else
People can't possibly think I'm better than them
They don't notice me, they don't talk to me,
Maybe some try but I don't see a potential friendship

I should be used to this, shouldn't I
No one talking to me, never being noticed
I shouldn't care, some kids are just weird
"They're jealous that you're more mature"

"That's not true" I say because, well, why else
I can get silly, I have a strong inner child
I can be very, very immature when I'm with my few friends
You have too much hope in me, father

Maybe I put myself down too much, I don't truly know
I mean I have skills, possibly talents
But I can never accept the compliments
"They're jealous you're not afraid to show your talents"

I'm not the bravest person ever but I don't mind showing off
Give me a mic and I will sing to my heart's desire
Play some music and I will dance until my lungs give out
Give me a pen and paper and I will show you the pen is mightier than the sword

So Papi, give me some time and I might believe you
You are slowly giving me confidence, the self-esteem I need
It will not happen overnight, I still think I'm nothing extraordinary
But I may one day believe in the unrealistic jealousy you believe in

She Still Believes

She once swam in seas of belief
Now drowning fast in depths of grief
                                    She still believes in love
She once soared high in truthful skies
Her wings have been clipped by his lies
                                   She will still soar above.

She Believes a Myth

Sailing toward the land where the sun will set
She discovered a myth from an old teapot

She believes the lie that is an old story
In the middle of the ocean, floating like an allegory

The wind hasn’t blown, the waves haven’t reached her yet
The sun still shines, darkness hasn’t come yet

On the surface of the water, she enjoys a momentary peace
The night holds a nightmare that she will experience

This pitiful girl cannot see her hope is fake
The blame for killing her, who will take?

Nobody Believes Me

My pen talks to me but nobody believes me
The paper in my pad tells me that I need to use each piece
My pen says you use me till I'm empty then won't keep me
My pen talks to me but nobody believes me

First of all, I don't think you fully understand my significance
I won't be the one to kill, but I sign the death certificate
I was the one to sign the cheque that you just received
I'm far from a whore, but every second of the day I have someone touch me

People misplace me all the time and hardly ever put on my lid
Right now I'm being used for the first time by a kid
Just last night, I was in the hands of a gangsta and Mafia boss
Artists use me daily, but don't realise my importance until I'm lost

Without me they wouldn't be able to create stories or verses
They get credit for coming up with the idea but I'm who they should worship
As soon as I dry up or run out of ink I'm thrown away and I no longer matter
I'm easily replaced but will another version of me, be able to finish that chapter?

I'm considered lucky to some and I'm the only one they will use
But when they have a block then I'm who they abuse
I've never had a simple thank you, even though I do all of this
I was the one who inked your favourite movie script

I give people strength even though I get weaker with every drop of ink
Guess who was used to sign your most important documents?
I'm cheap to buy, but my value can't be measured
I can make you a millionaire, but I'm tired of not being treasured

My pen talks to me but nobody believes me
The paper in my pad tells me that I need to use each piece
My pen says you use me till I'm empty then won't keep me
My pen talks to me but nobody believes me

Tortured Poet Believes In Truth

The tortured Poet

Expresses only that which they truly believe

No matter how hard

That truth is to accept

Or to tell

As the truth is hard

Sometimes may even be taken

And misinterpreted as a lack of care

Whereas a poet who paints pictures

Unto others about hope and the joy of life

Personally to me are choosing to be rather a

Non believer

Of reality as it exists

And if that makes or helps them in anyway

I for 1 am sincerely happy for them

The only problem I have

Is that leading other people in into believing

That everything in the end will be okay

Will only be a temporary release

But 1 day in the future

They will find out to their own cost

Much like a credit card

There is interest to pay on top

All you have done is put off

Paying for something which is going

To cost you more and will only end up

Regretting why you didn't just

Get it out of the way and done with them

And leave you hoping and thinking

You have learned your lesson

So you don't make the same mistake again

Premium Member Everyone Believes That

Everyone believes it
Who told you that?
I don't need telling.
I know it's a fact

A fact for you
It may not be factual to another.
They have thoughts too
Thoughts you would like to smother/

I know a fact if proven true
Is, in fact, a fact
But how can you say
Everyone believes it
When they are not as informed as you

Get your facts straight,
mate
Before you open your mouth
If you refuse to do this
The situation will go south!

Aboriginal People

These are the Aborigines
We have ruined there lives
It is time to say sorry and meaningful goodbyes
We had different believes and stories to tell
But not all of them were happy
They weren’t settling down very well
And I am sorry to say, the war was hell!
They got there swords and spears
And we’re ready to fight
But all hope was gone
It was like turning a human into a light!
Cannons were full to the brim
And men were ready
Some children were stolen and bulbs and branches got in the way
But now we have said our say
And Australia will always be their place to stay

The Demon Believes

The demon believes
that beneath my joy
there burns a secret desire
for the soul
so long deceased
and in the stillness
he strives
to persuade The demon believes
me to drink of the truth
that is his blood
shed for me
that I might know
the depth of his compassion
but I do not mourn
the passing of myself
as he conceives
indeed
I recall its weight
having lost the power to elevate the flesh
and my sudden determination
inspired by the stream’s call to lightness
to cast it into the water
now I sense it
on occasion
through an image
as the breeze
touches the river’s surface
and the colors gently fracture
or the sunlight suggests
the curve of a fish
smooth
illuminated shimmering
for an instant
in motion as it turns
to seek the shadows
and a subtle warmth
takes possession
of my emptiness
and I am glad

God Believes In You

My heart hurts to see such pain
Sorrow, tears, and sadness,
Why do we let Satan reign?
Why can’t we stop the madness?

Why do we wait for trouble to come
To find us while we are weak,
Why can’t we come together as one
It is unity that we should seek.

Why aren’t we strong in faith and love
Why do we focus on money instead,
Why do we always push and shove
To try and get ahead.

Why do thousands have to die
Before we can see each other,
Why do we first have to cry
Before we can come together.

To show compassion and understanding
Is a gift that we should use,
Stop the hatred, stop demanding
Stop the evil and abuse.

Don’t let these lost souls
These devils without hearts,
Make us submit to their goals
And try to tear us apart.

Look with your heart and not your eyes
And pray as you will,
Forget the malice, forget the lies
And remember,
God believes in you still.
