Will You Accept This Call

There's ringing in my heart again I recognize the tone.
The past is calling me again trying to reach me on the phone.
Why does it keep on haunting me? why won't it stay away?
It's always just the same old thing there's nothing new to say.

From the minute if I answered it I know what to expect.
Cause every time it ever calls it always calls collect.
Years of listening to it as it told me I was wrong.
I won't do it anymore that same old dance and song.

I found a place to rest my heart and ease my weary mind.
The past can't take the hint that I've left it far behind.
Every night eye to eye we danced toe to toe.
It thought that I was joking last time I turned to go.

I told the past I'm leaving you things are not like before.
This time when I leave you I won't dwell here anymore.
I guess I'll change the number on my antique telephone.
Until I find a better way to make the past leave me alone.

Edwin C Hofert

You Asked For This Through Your Words...I Accept the Challenge

Face to face, eye to eye
I stand tall and stay firm
My voice does not raise
And my tone does not change
I might listen... if I feel like it
But chances are...I won't believe you
I already know the words
The story is always the same

You are unchanging, but need to change
Your inflated ego will have you unable to see this
And no one would dare tell you...so I will

It's not okay to speak those words to me
I will not stand for it for a second
I don't use them with you

It's not okay to take friendship for granted
Acting sporadic like a leaf blowing without breeze
I don't do this to you

It's not okay to use me like a writing utensil
Picking me up until my ink evaporates
Then toss me away
I would never...could never...
Do that to anyone

You need to control your raging hormones
Just like you'd expect of a cycling woman
You need to start thinking first and acting much later
Instead of trying to erase mistakes...
The eraser is rubbing away

You should know also that I do take from you
But I do give to you, a heck of a lot in return
And don't you dare try to tell me otherwise

And that brings us to the lies
You will lie through, not so clenched teeth, to hurt in anger
Because there is no true reason to be angry
Or at least none you are willing to admit
Not even to yourself
But you thrive off the fight
Probably for the resulting attention

Am I perfect? nope not at all
You too are not
And even though you might know this
You still act like you are supposed to be higher
And hold the fact that I am human against me

I refuse to accept a slanted scale of friendship
I am the friend that would give up my last breath for those I love
Loyal even to people that hurt me
I know you will disagree
But even then, I was loyal
You just couldn't see

You've hurt me on beat
And the rhythm stays steady
I will not take it any longer
I am not the one who needs changing
Not this time
So don't tell me you're sorry...
Just show me

Premium Member Accept Me As I Am

I'm just like you, I really am,
I'm really not so odd.
I have my ways, I guess that's true,
And for that I thank my God;

For we all have certain attributes,
That differ from the rest;
Ways and habits we have formed,
That oft times aren't the best;

But that's what makes us who we are,
And sets us each apart,
As separate individuals,
But still with soul and heart.

I may not think or talk like you,
Opinions often differ,
But after all is said and done,
I am still your sister.

Accept me just the way I am,
As God meant me to be,
As I accept the way you are,
For God loves you and me.

There are those who love and also those who hate.
Delusions of grandeur I will never myself create.
I am nobody special, I will never claim to be.
I’m misunderstood by many and hated by at least three.

I admit to being human, many things I handle wrong.
I’m adapting and I’m learning, I’ll eventually come along.
I fight for what I believe, approval I do not seek.
I accept what I deserve, sometimes mild but never meek.

Take me as I am, what you see is what you get.
I’ll never run and hide I settle every debt.
I’ll ask for your forgiveness if I ever do you wrong.
I love my Lord and God my faith is very strong.

This is where I pray in these poems that I write.
I may not go to church, but I’m still in his saving light.
I know that I have sinned, I’m but a mortal man.
Please forgive me Jesus and accept me as I am.

Premium Member I Accept Your Apology

Feeling hurt, discomfort with other’s demeanor

More often than not
I crawl into silence promptly

More often than not
I brush off true feeling

More often than not
I dismiss my ache

More often than not
Giving permission for their behavior to replay

From Today Onwards
forevermore
Say "thank you, I accept your apology"

forevermore
Honor my innermost feelings

forevermore
Set boundary for emotional limits

forevermore
Create a greater sense of harmony in relationship

forevermore
Accepting their request for forgiveness

Once the First Nation people owned the land,
from one coast of Canada to the next coast;
the mighty warrior is now just a ghost.

The people rounded up no matter what band,
put in Indian reservations to be controlled;
with unspeakable restrictions still untold.

Even in 2019, the housing is still badly planned,
homes poorly constructed and full of black mold;
overcrowded, no clean water and in winter cold.

The people make a health and education demand,
eggs $15, jug of juice $26, veggies, meat rotten;
these are people the government has forgotten.

Suicide deaths -this I don't accept or understand,
the government brag about helping refugees;
I am pleading, help the First Nation people, please.

Once the First Nation People owned the land,
then people rounded up no matter what band;
even in 2019, the housing is still badly planned.
The people make a health and education demand,
suicide deaths- this I do not accept or understand.

Accept Love

How many chasms do I cross
To subdue sense of loss?

Reach for help; lend a hand
Otherwise stuck in quicksand!

Have to build sense of trust
It's defanently a must!

Find true love - if you dare
Only you can really care!

Accept Yourself

A-ccept yourself with joy,
N-ever ever be insecure;
G-od has designed your person,
I-t's the scorn you must
E-ndure.

B-e confident enough,
R-ise and look at the sky;
I-ntensify your certitude,
O-n the twenty-fourth of July.
N-o one compares to you,
E-ven the prettiest on earth;
S-tay strong and happy, accept yourself with mirth.

I’m sorry that I had to rob a bank
To buy your lavish aquarium tank
     Starkist rejects share a cell
     And Charlie’s begun to smell
Our debtors’ prison is bleak to be frank

If you can find a way to make my bail
Criminal activity I’ll curtail
     I’ll acquiesce to your wish
Bid adieu to this foul fish
And worship you like you’re the Holy Grail

I’ll never mention the credit card fees
That swelled from your holiday shopping sprees
     You’ll find I’m truly contrite
For snoring all through the night
And inadvertently cutting the cheese

Can you forgive me? I don’t deserve you
You’re the cream of the crop; I am just pooh
Thank you for pointing this out
Let’s put an end to this bout
To make reparations, I’ll ingest bamboo

I Don'T Tolerate You, I Accept You

With the invention of man came a myriad of difficulty and distress.
When the first australopithecine gained it bipedal wings and set sail on the journey to societal grandeur, origin was not an issue.
Complex societies emerged and spirituality often served as a road map to success.
Siddhartha Guatama rolled out the 8 Fold Path and the *****Sapiens followed, as the wise beings they were.
Mohammad advised his own followers from an arabian cave and Abraham guided his kin through the red sea.
People and technologies continued to evolve into better versions of themselves.
There seemed to be a certain cultural unity that fueled a near unanimous peace.
People seemed "color blind", agreeable, and understanding.
Soon though, things got out of hand when people grappled with designs that our founding fathers hadn't planned.
Power and ownership took over the world and with it went the peace.
There was schism upon schism amongst mankind and a bitter hatred settled over the earth.

But why?

We hated people for their skin color. The Apartheid and Triangular Trade drove the world into calamity.
Millions of peopled died in the name of the very religions that once coexisted in harmony.
World Wars were fought and concentration camps rose and fell like a revolving door and were holding pens where innocent people were treated like animals.

We need to return to our foundation and reestablish the very principles we lived by thousands of years ago.
The key to acceptance is tolerance and the key to tolerance is the abandonment of ignorance.
People must reunite and say, "I don't tolerate you. I accept you."

Premium Member Never Accept Mediocrity,

Never Accept Mediocrity,
(Control What You Can)
Written: by Tom Wright
January 2015

We were each,
Handed the gift of life, at birth,
So we had no voice
In circumstances that greeted us.

We can, to a large extent,
Control what we become as adults.
Good environment is essential
In determining life’s quality;

We fail, by letting negativity,
Dominate our thinking
And by not recognizing, that,
Believing is mile marker one,
On the highway to becoming;

It is difficult motivating the man,
Who believes his past
Will determine his future.

Before others believe in you
You must first believe in yourself

Accept Or Decline

Like maggots they simply crawl from the grave
Nothing seems normal or abnormal they just live on
As if the stars shine for no reason out the what once a man gave
Simple dots out in the sky appear for never known reason
They are the coexistence of our soul
Asking were and why for no optional existence
I know is something that may be too tall
But in this era what kid which knows nothing knows were to lay with presence

I know is hard to fall
But once in the sand the snow is just a corrosive pillow of dreams
To lose yourself out in the dark
Is all a matter of a doll
Only a matter of a darkened shark

Is a reason to exist
As the same beast comes to devour the dream of your own believes
I know how thick and how much it shift
I do believe in the presence of a well known man in balance that willows
For a time I was much lost
Yet I live hanging on the edge for god knows how much more
For a lifetime only with twenty one I wonder how I manage to be frost
Is a rare find is just a rare balance for
For the devil to take over me
But I decline because is my blood to let flow
I accept because it gives me so much more with my wonder of knee
Is a forevermore flow and a forever changing glow

God made me and I doubt that so much
God held me high and let me fall and I feel that with much rush
I declined the very existence of what humankind uses to say we exist
I know no more what to see, hear, smell, touch or perhaps think
But one thing is certain and I must move before the devil moves me from this room so bright
I will not fall just yet from the edge I still hold on to so dark
This is my eyes placed on some words
This is my fall rewritten by the world so full of flaws

Premium Member Take a Walk Into the Future

If you have dreams
You can take a walk into the future
You can start your plan today
With great hope and expectation
But try your best from today
And accept the result tomorrow
The future forever welcome you
But with your love, conscience
Perseverance,optimism
And sincerity in god
The unknown world forever welcome you
But have to bear in mind the rules
Thankful for yesterday
Cherish for today
And hopeful for tomorrow

Accept the Challenges In Life As It Is the Gift To Help Us Grow

Accept the Challenges in Life, as it is the Gift to help us Grow

Challenges are not always good in our life, because there is a chance we might get lose by not accomplished it or cannot overcome them.
But sometimes we have no choice and be confronted directly with them, so sometimes we are being thrown to the lions we have to react on it, as it is to complete an lifetimes opportunity for ourselves.
At that time, it is a difficult tasks, but if we start with a quick decision will give us more opportunities and upon the completion it will give us great aplomb and guaranteed satisfaction.
Life is really a mystery for us, because we never know when and what kind of challenge we are going to face.
We only know that we have to perform and complete the challenge to move forward with our life, because the failure will weaken us with an uncertainty in our mind.
The mental processing can be almost unforgettable, with each new challenge that we are facing with around the same subject repeatedly, it will break our nerves loose.
As we had accepted and completed our challenges, we get richer and stronger by experiences and thus can be assured of able to handle every new challenge ahead of us.
And we also will be ready if a similar event would occur in the future.
So try not to have doubt over our challenging tasks and immediately think with realistically about the experience at that time with a quick action as fast as lightning to achieve the best possible outcome.
Thus our self-confidence will be growing rapidly and it will be easier for us to handle for other life challenges.

I wish you a healthy life.
