Best About Me Poems

My life is like that of a commonplace horse
that stays where they’ve put her all day;
she lives very much like the others, of course,
accepting her fate, eating hay!

At times she is plowing ( for work is her lot);
at other times, giving a ride
to those who reward her with a smile. . . or not!
But seemingly, she’s satisfied.

For like many others, who graze in the field,
She’s needed and loved; she gets by.
Though life is not bad, to routine she must yield,
but her mind - which can’t rest - wants to fly!

You see, I’ve a soul not that of this mare.
I look through the fence and I see
pastures much greener, and far away there
are places much sweeter for me. . .

I see myself frolicking in quietude
where the world has a rainbow hue.
With fanciful musings my mind is imbued
and the roses I’m sniffing are blue!

I’m gentle, romantic, yet wild and carefree,
and my coat is a glistening white.
Liltingly, I move like poetry.
And my essence is pure delight.

Yes, over that fence, I so want to go -
where creative thought is born;
where lyrical words with euphony flow,
for I am a unicorn!

"TELL YOU ABOUT ME "

Born a full blown Libra to a scale of blind justice
My hair & eyes are brown as can be
I come from a large family
Don't like to be called a princess
every now and than you still find me climbing up a tree
My daddy paid for my expo ride
My favorite color comes in green
In my hometown I join the women baseball team.
I still own a lot of Mardi beads
I love boxing in my own back yard
I dislike when people think I am very brainy
I no longer care of the Physics of my stare
Funny to think I once knew that the mass and energy,
is related to the famous equation E=mc (tiny) 2....
c how I love the speed of light, gravity do to motion due
m &o are like the m&m of the mass related to the observation of me
LOL : - ) I still have a bit of physics dumb minded skills
Ask me this tomorrow and I will forget every # of square root
Yikes to geometry I want to c light when it comes to v for my velocity,
changing and walking to a straight direction to my four walls of dimension.
That is me not so nutty but a little crazy
With an IQ, to mix and match & play it out.
I love the challenge when I'm standing on my own high horse
Ask me to many questions you will get a beat around the bush
Who really needs to know the truth about being confused
I love to passion out my color pink.
I alway come across to many eye blinks
Get caught up in puzzles that help me think
Yes I love video games Just got done playing "Halo"
M.K. Liu K. is all I got to say/// me play Guitar Hero? hmm? ;-)
My spirit does not let go of the cartoon phase.
When it comes to favorites, I place my son as # 1
How about my favorite niece, she my only true buddy
My favorite all time poet, not many care for his dark eyes Mr E.A. Poe
Emotions to feel it all, why not let it show.
Do not give me coffee, I will over expose my silly charms.
I love my dog, hate his fleas, I keep him away from the birds and the bees
One thing I can not go with out is to solve a mystery when in doubt
I guess sometimes I can't even figure myself out,
Why some one would say I can be a role model?
This is just a bit about me, ooh yes I forgot to mention
I love the slamming world of all kinds of poetry.

It's All About Me

I believe in lots of things I can't see
My dreams are like a ship's consciousness
drowned in the ocean
I want to live for a reason
How I wish I could resign
from myself

How I wish now I was wrapped
on a bed neither to move my hands
nor my feet
I try to feel but I have no feelings
My soul is rich my spirit feels poor
I have a brain that feels unconscious
I got married but was never in love
I am alive yet I wish I was dead

I wanted to stay but I had to leave
I have tears but cannot weep
I've got memories
yet I crave to forget them
I feel a storm coming
without rain or thunder
People die but I cannot mourn

I am friendly but have no friends
I think I am intelligent but I feel numb
I thought I graduated
but threw away my diploma
I have a birthday with no wishes
I dream yet I forget them

I had a castle yet I feel I'm living in a hut
I have courage but I cannot face it
I am a body that looks like a skeleton
My heart beats but I cannot hear it
The sky is blue but I see gray

My voice
You dwell too much about the past
that taught you to be so cruel
I loved but nobody loved me
The flowers were blooming
but I saw them dead
I was a violin with broken strings
when I could not hold my anger

If I could only scream to listen to my echo
I rode a horse without a saddle
I was at the beach and I saw no ocean
I walked on the land but felt
only rocks

My feet were bleeding I cut them off
I wake up at dawn but I feel its dark
I rang the bell nobody opened
I was on the roof top and my soul fell down
I watched a beginning it felt like the end

It's all about Me

Whatever bad you think they say about you,
can't it be people are being misconstrued ?
Your friends stood by in every thin and blue,
believe me hurting they never intended to do.

Sensitivity and emotions in you are a peak high,
even without medication soon will tranquillise,
Having caring and extremely emotive attitude,
Why not think positive, don't ever seclude ?

Depression is only one's subjective feel,
One of the weak spokes of life's wheel,
Travel along and go round and round,
Giggling with cheerful colours and voices around.

Creative with wit you have a perfect paint,
Fascination and magic of your words will never faint,
Catie my true friend if you could trust me,
Believe in Him and see sorrows of past flee !

About Me Pt. 2

I’m a man of my word,
I always do my best to keep every promise,
and I never make a promise I know I can’t keep
I’ll give you the shirt off my back if you really do need it,
but I’m no humanitarian
I always offer others my help,
but I rarely accept the assistance of others,
because it makes me feel like I’m weak
I am weak,
yet, I’m stronger than I seem
I am a rock star on the inside,
but, physically and mentally, I’m a rock star who has no musical abilities
At times I have self-esteem,
but, I really never do
I’ll say I believe in myself and that I’m happy with what I can do,
but, truth be told,
there’s always that nagging doubt,
the lingering thought,
the dreaded fear of proving myself right,
and confirming the utter worthlessness that I usually find in myself
I overanalyze everything
I’m always thinking about something
I love to watch people
but I hate it when people stare
I am a Christian,
but at times I wonder if God even cares?
then call myself a fool for ever thinking that way,
as I finally see all of the things I take for granted that He’s blessed me with
everyday
I always wait too late to say what I’m feeling,
or can never seem to find the courage to say it when I want to
With time, I’ve grown too scared to reach for the stars,
to walk out on limbs,
put myself on the line
but, I don’t want to be left behind,
I don’t want to watch those around me grow and become happier,
while I am stuck in misery
I don’t know who I am

It's Not About Me, It's All About You

You’ve seen what I would do for You,
I’m reminded that You always knew.
It’s not about me, it’s all about You
so it matters not what You lead me through.

It matters not what You lead me through
for all of my days are to glorify You.
If to YOUR plan I will stay true,
there’s no telling what I’ll do for You.

Adversity is harnessed and used of You
but those who know this truth are few.
Others think harsh correcting is what You do
but in reality, they just don’t have a clue.

You came that others know what is true,
that they see life from Your point of view.
Then, the life that they never knew
would be there for them because of You.

Love About Me

people think i'm peculiar
to have think outside the box
to have act not like anyone else
to have a though heart

but they just don't know who i am
for i have a sensitive heart
i cried easily and fragile
but everybody has a flaw

sometimes I cried when I can decide things
sometimes I lost and don't know where to go
can find a life goal up until now
and again, everybody has a flaw

I like happiness
laughing with everybody
sharing stories and telling jokes
making this world a stage of comedy

i filled my life with dreams and hopes
looking for ways to brighten people's life
keeping faith though sometimes faded
but it is the only thing keeping me from crumbling

i like the philosophy about love
seeing peaceful energy that emerges
someday i wished i could be among them
who fight in the name of love

a visionary
a dreamer
an artist
a coward
a clown
a lover
a fighter
what i love about me.

Dust I just ignore
Cleaning is a bore
I’d rather spend time with my spouse!

It's All About Me

It’s All About Me

Truer words were never spoken
When people say or do something bad to someone else….
Especially Catie!
They diminish themselves as human beings
Making Catie shine, through the mire, above the fray

Hard work and harder play, make us who we are
Our spark of humanity comes from that
Not from the gutter or mouths of others
Sweet Catie is on all our loving lists at Poetry Soup
She is our sister, that is no mystery

We share our minds and souls with her together
In this mortal battle we call life, we write against the tyranny
It is our pleasure to call Catie one of us
With thoughts of kindness, we share her feelings
Lift her through this darkness and pray that better weather comes

If Catie ever visits us, here at the Soup, we promise not to stick gum in her hair
We promise to play fair and only tease her on alternating funny Sundays, with loving care

About Me Pt. 1

What can I say about me that you can’t learn within a day?
I was born to be a hopeless romantic,
except I never have any romance in my life
I am a gentleman,
I take my chivalry seriously
I want someone to hold and never let go of,
I want someone who will be there
I want someone who will tell me everything will be okay
I want someone to hold my hand
I find myself surrounded by beautiful girls,
but they always seem to find happiness in somebody else
I’m great at reading the negative signs
I’m terrible at reading the positive ones
I always misinterpret friendship for attraction
or vice versa out of fear of rejection,
out of fear of being mistaken, yet again
I am always, just a friend
I am blessed with the best friends in the world
but, I fear, I might turn my back on them to some extent over a girl
I’m afraid my friends will disappear
finally realizing I’m not worth keeping
finally seeing what I see in myself
but, I hope and pray that they never do
Far too often I wonder
I wonder if I died, if anybody would really care?
I wonder if anybody would really miss me like they say they would were I not
there?
I’m smarter than I’ll admit,
but I still fear I’m not smart enough
I’m afraid I’ll never reach my goals
I’m afraid I’ll never graduate from college,
become a doctor,
meet that one special girl,
and start a family of my own
I’m afraid to let myself down,
but I’m even more afraid of letting down others
I am a people pleaser,
but I’m not sure if I ever really please many people
I like knowing what’s around the bend,
but I don’t enjoy monotony
or spoiled endings
I enjoy having fun,
but I enjoy being serious
I’m easily amused
but I hate stupid things
I write best when I’m depressed,
but I hate feeling that way
Yet I love writing so much,
I just can’t win

i think about you not thinking about me

i cannot hide that i still think of you
a short romance you felt, but did not understand
you tell everyone what you never told me
ignoring what you did
hearing what you said
in those desperate attempts to wrap it all up into words
you trapped us
writing it off as confusion
forcing a conclusion
but I know it was there

A Lullaby Rising - a Poem About Me

I am
a lullaby, my heart
carries the melody and the
rest of me sings...my arms

Are the
wings which give balance to my
dance...my ears hear the music
of the wind...my hands beat

Rhythms
of the rain and my feet
tap, glide and let me twirl, head high,
watch me bend like limbs on

A spruce
tree, so free...my nose delights
at frangrant rose...my eyes
wee wonders of creation

My song,
a lullaby, my heart
carries the melody and the
rest of me sings...always!

Premium Member Something You Should Know About Me

Pardon me Hon, my apophenia is acting up. See,
I have this acute case of advanced pareidolia
Today my two fried eggs formed Munch's 'The Scream' in the frying pan
it made my toes curl, but it seems to have solved my writer's block!
I even wrote a song based upon the compelling rhythms
   of my dripping faucet
My coffee foam faces give me daily companionship
and I could write a book on all the tree trunk friends I've made
Sometimes cloud formations help me decide on a stock to buy
or which horse to bet on
I've seen FDR in Half Dome's face after an exhausting day of hiking
I felt strangely comforted by America's most beloved socialist
I've bid on Ebay for that grilled cheese sandwich of Jesus and Mary in a tortilla
sadly, I didn't win either one
I've talked with the rabbit on the moon and spoken to the mermaid on Mars
haven't heard back from either, but maybe I'm not listening hard enough?
Speaking of which…
   were you saying something?
