In India, it is midnight now,
and the solar eclipse wasn't visible for that reason.
Still, I remained awake till the solar eclipse was going on:
because I take the Sun as my alter ego
and I can't feel easy until darkness is removed.
No matter how dark will it be for some time,
but still, the light will be the brightest
removing all the black: whether it is mine or the Sun's.
If you've ever wondered why I'm always leaping,
It's likely because the situation is hilarious.
I'm strong, but what I surely fancy is weeping.
I envy tears to run down my eyes, imperious.
I went in the opposite direction from the charter.
I found my soul to be less than I had expected.
Yet, I had twice the courage of my partner.
With a calm resolve to my power, I connected
While I seldom have fine dreams,
I realize that adversity destroys hope.
I'm bursting at the seams; my eyes gleam.
Let me grow by flying wings over my slope.
In our thoughts, on paper, or in utterances, we are.
It's a conscious rally; I mustn't travel afar.
I reflect on myself while sitting on a shelf.

No small moans
I will create for her
A thousand heavens

It could deplete you after a lengthy trip and oneness.
And I am yet lingering cruel by contemplating bliss.
You've defied steadily and excelled in thriving.
As you're tiresome, illustrate it muses everything.
Aside from any explicit cure, along these lines,
Is much being done to shape the planet more viable?
The sound of racing feet announces the arrival.
As the discourse progresses, fresh ingrains appear.
Is it likely that we need to tackle ruthless anger?
Many suns will rise and set after you are gone.
Eternity is not likely to depend on illumination.
Defying history, it focuses on implementation.
After crossing the street, stay straight. What entices you?
They come from the north and head to the south too.
Is it possible for you to continue without me?
Whose world will they improve or deteriorate?
What sort of altering, if any, will they bestow as respect?
But in a society that loves security, it is all fleeting note.
I hope that you can find peace and can communicate.
I urge you to start a consent and listen to God's voice.

Something I can not just forget
The pain is too deep of a feel inside
Somewhere along these trails, I ride.
It's deep a wound I cannot forget,

I'm not sure how to tolerate this pain
As I walk this lonely road in my brain.
Deep it was; that was taken from me,
I shall sail out unto the sea
A drowning of myself, I feel
For what I did, I can not repeal.
I close to this in me writing words:
What I had done was so absurd
I should've been more assertive to her
To me now, it's as if it were a blur.
Sadly it is not the case, I've seen,
I need to accept it, move on indeed
But my pain is too damn severe

Certain utopia
However, only you will gain

Got crowned
Warm, your sitting place stays

she wanted all of him and this second
her intensity was fierce
he let her have her way
I wake up in consternation, it is a day off.
No schedule, no paperwork, no boss.
I smile as this statement amuses me.
I have a boss, but she is totally not bossy.
She is delicate with me, possibly because I am the old one here.
Unless you count the nurse and the secretary. We three are the token crones.
“Caren, would you…”
“Yes, I would love to!”
This is how our banter goes, and not daily, maybe
Once every month or so. I adore having her for a boss, adore it!
I am sure this is because she is a delight, and so am I.
I do not think it is because my personnel file downtown is a foot thick.
I do think on the cover in huge black magic marker it says
“Do not be fooled by her unassuming old lady look. She is a barracuda.”
I know my rights, and I am not afraid to use them.
I have the union president on speed dial.
I may be one of the few to send her a yearly Christmas pony.
Being a Caren advocate was unnatural,
But being a child-advocate has taught me how to advocate for everyone
Including me. I reach for my pen, recognizing my mantra, and a new poem.
I have a football star in my family.
She is my granddaughter and she is thirteen.
A girly-girl when she is not playing defense.
A grizzly bear when she is playing on defense.
I will not get to see her play because I work
And her games start at 3:30 unless I take an hour off my work.
Her next game is her last game. I am debating...
I hear she is really good from my husband who was shocked
Last Thursday that a football game lasts two full hours.
He is not sports-oriented but got a kick out of it this time
Because he is related to a star player, the lone female player.
So did you picture her built like a tank?
She is built like a giraffe with super skinny
Tall legs. It is the beginning of eighth grade so
Of course she is still a head taller than the rest of the team- all boys.
They were diabolically opposed to everything I offered
I decided to take my ideas and go home
One of my best ideas and
Easiest to implement
Be assertive before you indulge
Tangy,
sugary,
sweating,
like Chinese Sweet and Sour.
'Tis a fling?
Or a zesty,
savory,
full blown love affair?
Remember!
It has an after taste that never goes away.
