As Right As Rain Poems | Examples

Among the Angels

When our grindstone comes into blossom,
A hen's curse might kill an eagle.
Maybe when hell freezes over,
The snake that I see will bite.

I am mortal but among the Angels
Left but never forgotten
Beneath the cudgel of pain
Pressed under, still my soul is as right as rain

I am a blessing in disguise and Invictus
Bright eyed and bushy tailed
Still, curses and atrocities comes knocking
Trying to knock me yet I am consolidated

It's alright being in dire straits
I got the capacity to take the bull by the horns
I am out of this world, dare send a curse
I will fashion it into a blessing

Few Things On My Checklist

Open the drawer you'll see a diary,
A wimpy kid full of anxiety,
Lean frame meek face all I got,
but I strolled blithely.

The first page got my expensive dreams covered,
A trip to the Alps in the shimmery Swiss summer,
then hike the Mont Blanc and write some for her,
sitting on the rocks sipping mild liquor,
tongue-in-cheek, whimsical humor.

On that note please turn over to the next page,
chips n antenna never held my gaze,
too late to pull out I must stay,
I must say,
I might pull this one off,
else my achievements be measured by a length gauge.

A grave predicament I'm stuck in,
maybe I need to do something,
maybe I need to be fronting,
but nothing surprises me anymore,
seeds I sowed shall be reaped come forth.

Page three demands me to rise above obscurity,
scale heights not meant to be,
Rake opulence not meant for me,
As right as rain, I want things to be.

For now, I'll hit the sack with a twinge of guilt,
cause I dreamt of things far ahead of me.

Premium Member Like a Dagger To the Heart

Joyful memories of days when we sang in the sun
holding hands and kissing til' the moon slow rose
oh how I miss your fancy face, your cute lil' nose
after the laughter comes the pain, alongside rain

I recall our promises tied to sturdy bits of twine
giving me the strength to see life at its best
oh how I loved you Guy but now, with deep unrest
I long for the days when you and I met summer

In your wild wild T, baby Suzy & Jimmy D
dancing to Elvis hand in hand
as we made love in the sand
after the laughter comes the pain, alongside rain

Playful as a summer day you knew I was yours
eyes of glitter, lips of hot, hair of silky black
oh my darlin' how you always had my back
I long for the days when you said I love you

First came kisses , then a love as right as rain,
then came pain like a dagger to the heart, insane !

The Benefits of Retirement In Winter

I am happy to be a retiree in Winter,
It couldn't have worked out better,
With need to feel bitter,
When it starts to get colder.

I can go to bed before the heat goes out of the Sun
And not get up til the heat comes back again,
So I can feel as right as rain.

I can drive at times when road rage,
Is off the page,
And traffic flows at this stage,
So I can get home before I age.

I can stay on the phone and complete a transaction,
To my satisfaction,
And negate any company inaction.

My shopping is done when the fast lane is open,
Staff give me lots of attention,
And car parks not usually taken.

I can enjoy a cup of tea when not on the run,
While sitting in the sun,
And watching others not having fun.

I can plan my day,
With no boss having a say,
Or worrying about traffic delay.

I can have my breaks anytime,
And can even go overtime,
Without fear of a fine.

So why wouldn't I find winter,
A perfect partner,
For a short Encounter,
Before the temperature gets any colder.

Winter is the perfect time to feel guilt free,
In not rushing out of bed for a fee,
Until I feel like a cup tea,
With newspaper on my Knee.

Crazy In Love

Sometimes two people just fall in love
with each other like two moths drawn
to a flame, I look into your eyes and it’s
then I know I have found my soul mate
as right as rain, holding you, holding me
you say I didn't know I was lost until
you found me, could this be what they
call destiny, I don't know but Im crazy
bout you baby, crazy, crazy for you
baby…
It's just a shame we're both married
and have to sneak around like we do
but they'll both be served their divorce
papers in a week or so and then they’ll
know bout me and you, until then I
guess we'll do what we have to do
just to see each other 'cuz we just
can’t get enough of each other not
now and no not ever baby ‘cuz we
are CRAZY, CRAZY IN LOVE with
one another, CRAZY, JUST CRAZY,
CRAZY IN LOVE now and forever
CRAZY, CRAZY IN LOVE I swear
by the moon and stars above, it’s
love, it’s love just CRAZY, CRAZY
IN LOVE...

I Saw a Merman

I saw a merman
(Dedicated to Andrea Dietrich)

                                  I saw a merman in Andrea's den
Alive and kickin' and chewin' her pen
                                    He seized on Andrea's heart
The young Merman was so smart
He said, 'a kiss I'll be as right as rain '

Words of Poetry

What is it
That I cant explain
What makes sense
When I'm insane
Flooded words in my brain
Love, hate, Words of pain

Nostradamus and Da Vinci
Said it best with
Words of poetry

I admit
Its like a hurricane
In my defense
As right as rain
How i ponder thru
A windowpane
How words of poetry
Entertain
