A wound, deep and wide.
Gaping, Ragged, Bleeding...
Cover with the cloth of
False Smiles.
Cover with the cobweb gauze of
Empty Sympathy.
Clamp it shut with fingers of
Chemical Laughter.
Hold it together with shaky hands of
Liquid pain relief.
A wound, deep and wide ...
Remains.
A wound,deep and wide
Gaping, Ragged, Bleeding...
Clean with
Love.
Stitch together with
Truth.
Soothe with the
Balm of Gilead.
Anoint with
Oil.
Healed....
A reminder of grace.
Anoint me Father but long champion of life
Anoint me the possibilities of love
Anoint me O' Father with her effervescent presence
That are in a your beauty show
Anoint me my God Father with a captivating love
Grant me the village of her heart beating soul
Anoint me O' Father that I may
Always listen to her voice
Allow me to touch her soul and embrace her heart

A seeker seeking connection
Humbled at his soul's ignorance

Yearns to reclaim, heart's innocence
