Anoint me, Autumn, with your rays of gold,

which linger from my summer days of mirth

until the chill of wintertime takes hold.

Pour forth your brilliant colors onto earth.

I love the anoint me verses as that is how I myself feel before the wrath of winter comes. "Pour forth your brilliant colors on the earth." A fantastic closing verse of the stanza.. A fav,, and a true gem...
