Premium MemberRegenerating Nuts

A nut
is just a nut
till planted
in robust healthy soil

Soulfully watered
nurtured
among sympathetic neighbors
fed by solidarity
in co-invested toil

Not necessarily nuts,
yet from this same root
system of passionate EarthTribe
ruts

Anciently established trees
and seas
and sacred nests
of honey bees

Enlightening
and empowering
nut engaging mysteries.

Premium MemberThe Healing Flower

This flower that gives more than any other
Is sure to be a blessing to those who recover
From illness and blight
Brought from dark shadows to light
To discover its natural gift
Of healing and lift
To those who need most
The beauty of nature's repose
That allows us all to be healthier
Our lives, our hearts, our spirits with less barriers
This intrinsic answer so simply stated
Dear cannabis flower so anciently created
For those whose illness has taken its toll
With the pain and affliction we all know
Relinquishing the suffering of those that need you
This flower that gives more than any other
Is now to be a blessing for those to recover

Premium MemberFear Seeks Faith

Gratitude's past grief
brief repast

When re-articulating grief
becomes transparently warm passion,
yet without terrifying overheated anger,
we are together filled with resonantly vulnerable sound
and traumatic sight,

Therein opens new possibilities,
avenues, shared
tides,
streams,
neurological highways
mini-cultures surfing for resiliently polypathic gratitude,

An experiential reminder,
a virtuous feedback loop,
in which daily reborn life intends love
extends above
down beyond,
deeply rooted within
all Other
awareness;

Grief of anciently fore-shadowed separation
to repair EarthTribe's loyal gratitude.

Premium MemberOde To the No-Thing

laughing like a hyena comes naturally
to those deprived of sanity
for more than five hours at a
time is long and sometimes silent
though not often still
water runs expressing her course
having no authority to deepen herself at will
lounging on one side and then the other
banks holding sway with the river just because
trees morph into faces anciently lined
anthropomorphism clearly reigns in our
consciousness, construes something out of
no-thing is why we are all here
laughing like a hyena comes naturally
to those deprived of truth
for more than five hours at a
time is illusory and definitely not the truth
may you have your way with all of it...

Premium MemberPrevailing Winds

No healthy humane man
of mature integrity
is a disenchanted island.

No individual is entirely orphaned.
Even an island has an associated understory,
below water's surfing surface
lie deeply rooted
anciently fertile connections.

And above water's surface
birds migrate outdoor voices
and digestive tracts
and trends
visit,
co-invest regenerativity
of ocean tides
and wind storms.

Those who celebrate only their autonomous island-ness,
are those who do not actively include
how we already live as multicultural peninsulas
leading back to mainland ancient healthy multicultures
and leading forward
to where we can once again
applaud diversely landscaped roots
fertile soil and soul migrations
visitors of nutritiously remembering curiosity
co-invested leaders in courageous fertile multi-solidarity
on this one planet island

Earth revolving within an interdependent sanctuary orbit
of synergetic understory,
Milky Way of warm wet soiled and souled
enchanting
surfing maternal womb memories
of ocean tides
as wind storms.

Gossamer Labyrinths' Agone Opulence

Once agone moments in time
        she was poetry in motion,
   'til she pirouetted herself
         onto dusty versed shelves
     midst old clouded rhymes
          & recollected love notes
yet, there lingered echoes
  glistening 'tween strands
   of web's interlacing design,
meshing her finessed
     past within gossamer's
      complexed entanglements
        beyond labyrinths of
             anciently grand symphonies
she dances, still ~
  silently in her head
flirting with destiny
              albeit, not quite as opulently

Premium MemberSand

Silky soft sand
a zen garden
dutifully raked
organized
but fluid.

Rock solid concrete
a straight sidewalk
purposefully aimed
determined
and rigid.

Silky soft sand
a seaside beach
eternally shuffled
chaotic
but natural.

Rock solid concrete
a fluted pillar
anciently built
weathered
but stoic.

Silky soft sand
a pliable mind
persistently curious
unmolded
and alive.

Rock solid concrete
a zealot view
insistently settled
decided
and dead.

The Pink Evening Sky

Eternity witnessed anciently and again.
Lost souls in retreat; visions isolated.
Perpetual fears encumbering freemen.
Daunting dreams with doubts amid young and aged.

Time never ends feelings of desperation.
Souls hiding in solitude sink deaths anchor.
Drowning in self-pity and isolation.
Then, comes faith, and happily-ever-after.

Love lifts life like floating clouds reflecting brightly.
The pink evening sky paints the world’s uplifting.
God watches as sunbeams light the night beauty –
Strongly fortifying, God manifesting.

Cityscape (Big-Hungry)

We had a folk connection to everything
To times and place
But most of all to men
The landmark souls of Montego Bay:
Big-Hungry was one of them,
Hero that a wayward child could prize.

He was a big man
Muscles hard as old tree root
This tractor
That gave the city character
Seemed iron to us,
His lard a fig only for his belly
He was a STRONG MAN
Beating iron and mending tires
Day long, he breather the charred dust
From charcoal stalls
And belched in his passion of fire
O I feared too his cruel ways.

You walked into him suddenly
A mountain anciently there
And shrank instinctively in fear
But this man
This Big-Hungry that ate more than his size
Had a soft liquid in his eyes
And Girzelle knew
And never ran from him
Like us small boys that jeered
Behind his distant back
With one smile she laid him flat
Just like a track
Before our watering eyes.

Gossamer Flyer~

Dragonfly Damsel engaging such wonder
Discovers a world between water and land
Magical enchantment her filmy wings stand
Refracting worlds beheld from another

Lucent pools echo translucent colors
Iridescent gossamer winged flyer
Damselfly dance into the sun higher
Filling us with fervor as she hovers

Soaring predator scorched with her fire
Dragonfly protects and patrols her terrain
Teaching us balance is every thing
Anciently ruling this marshy mire

This gossamer flyer is awesome pay heed
She glistens along while skimming water
Fire burns inside her ever so hotter
Nothing compares to her exceptional speed

Protect what is yours, her message to us
Rational thought sometimes ruminates
Let go of “Father Time” who dictates
Rambunctiously live your lives with lust
