Start of daylight summer.
Standing clouds do scatter.
Sun shines through raindrops, sail.
Smell of rain wet spatter.
Swaddles nature sitting.
Stunning rainbow it spins.

Tick tock, tick tock,
The cat climbed on the clock.
A rat ran out rapidly in the rain.
Sought shelter under a sturdy shrub.
The cheeky cat checked all crops,
The rat snuggled into its reservoir.
A duck chased the cat,
Then it dipped into the pond,
Enjoyed a quiet quaff in the quaint rain,
As the water sounded on its surface,
And as it Ticked, it Tock,
And the duck dug deep happily.

Sheep Sam could not seek sleep that night
as storm sounds crashed and clashed;
the thunder blasted booms while bright
bold beams of lightning lashed.
So sadly, Sam said, “We can't sleep-
the big booms bash so loud!”
But then, they heard a chirpy cheep-
a true tweet in their crowd!
“Oh yes”, said Sparrow Sue, “You know
this scary storm won't last;
it helps the green grass greatly grow
as rich rain feeds it fast.
So, ease your ears and eyes- think how
our fading field of green
will grow the coolest clover now
our home has ever seen!”
And so, the sleepless sheep slept well
until the storm-free sun
sent scents of their best breakfast smell-
green grass and fine food fun!
Not a wisp of wind
disturbs the willows
along the path I walk,
the silence
and the stillness
speak to my hurt
and harried heart;
let hard lessons
learned
flow swiftly down
the soothing stream
to the sea,
evaporating into rain,
returning refreshed
to water virgin dreams.
Honey Locust Trees, perched precariously on
Ledges lost amid ruptured chasms of evil
Ant hills, protruding fistfuls of grapefruit-sized
Giant ants suffering remnants within sight of
Chernobyl, in the Ukraine forbidden zone;
Seemingly immune to the poisonous pods;
Literally dripping heavy ants clinging to juicy,
Waxy seeds as they climb and fall over each
Other feasting on spandrel sins denied by silver
Palaces adorned with backroom deals and
Shady hats glittering with guava-glazed
Toasted pecans, spun with rain-soaked
Clumps of blue spirulina hungrily engulfed
By the living dead...

If our love does not sustain,
We should try again or else
Rave into the pouring rain.
Monsoon torrential consumes
Necessities of potential.
Differences between us drown
Drenched drops pouring. The
Night is ours. For ours is the
Power of the storm. Lover's rain
Pouring insane we will maintain
Our love this way this night
Shine moon heartbeats tune
We are lovers...
Fighting against fate
THE LOVE OF US.
RAIN!!
Regarding raindrops,
Rivulets run,
Readily regroup,
Recreate raging runoff rivers,
Relentlessly ravage, reshape, round, reduce rough rocks,
Remove residue,
Reach reservoirs,
Refresh, relax recalcitrant recreators,
Rest,
Rinse,
Repeat
RAIN
rapid rain recurred
riders rushing recklessly
rinsed running ramblers
SAFETY
sudden storm surges
sailing ships searching seaports
survive safely soon
TREATMENT
trace total trouble
test temperature timely
treating tactfully

Bearing the brunt of betrayal,
his long-time lady lover leaves him
for another flame. Surprisingly saying
"I'm so sorry, Sam, we should start
seeing other people"
Broken by a brutal blindside
out of nowhere. He couldn't comprehend
the reason; the shock shook him
like a loud trembling thunder
shakes someone out in the rain
Suddenly lovelorn,
he's left wondering why.
"What did I do to deserve this?"
To add insult to injury, he learns
she left him for his best friend, Bruce.

Alliteration rain and sunshine--
I’ve gotten caught in the rain again
Coming home from school was sunny alas.. the
Rotten, rich Rain or silly, single Sunshine
Romantic, ruthless Rain or smooth, sweet Sunshine
Has donned and poured on me again

Feel fickle fancy
Meet moments misty
Rumble reaping rain
Ploughing petty pain
Juggle juicy jest
Pacing puny pest
Lavish laughter loud
Plotting pristine proud
Zipping zealous zest
Breaking beastly best
Fancy fickle feel
Drafting dizzy deal
Hassle high hopes here
Dangling distant dear
Lusty limelight lifts
Gather gloomy gift
Treasure troubling times
Crafting charming chimes

The nonstop drip, drip, dripping drops of rain,
drum pitter-patter patterns on my brain.
And I slowly start to slip-slide past sane,
while endless dripping drops drive me insane.
For many miserable months, it pours,
and a dank depression drains me of hope.
As misery manifests, boredom soars,
and deprived of light, I am forced to cope.
It's a moody, melancholy Monday,
another awful, rotten, rainy day.
And that rat-a-tat-tat sound slams away
like monsoon madness on constant replay.
Fast-flowing flash floods wash away the land
as this wretched weather gets out of hand.
Then, a shy sullied sun shines, clouds disband,
and the sweet sound of silence sounds so grand.
